  • For a complex scheduling system like time table construction, its optimal solution, if exists, is hard to obtain. In this paper, the scheduling environment is reasonably confined as where objects have their own events competing for better slots on boards, and objects have their own board slot preferences and belong to one or more classes of the society which globally constrains them. Here, two phase method is suggested, where the first phase is human-like preference driven and the second phase is for fine tuning by considering all the factors given. Designed and implemented in our system HI-SCHED are dynamic object switching, temporal-constraint-driven intelligent backtracking, case-based revisions, object-based approach, and so on. Some satisfaction degrees are also defined to measure the usefulness of our method. In addition, look-ahead dynamic object switching is considered, and additional global constraints are introduced and processed. A simple scheme is also used to verify the usefulness of the post processing scheme.

  • Sewerage is the system that improves the quality of human life and prevents many disasters such as floods. However the investigators in Korea only have been concerned about the sewer system, so the sewage treatment plant stays in the basic level like mapping. For example, only one attribute can be recognized in the linear object. Because of this limitation, it makes difficult to manage the linear attribute regarding to the sewage pipe plan. And it is impossible to control a partial (point type, line type) attribute changes of the linear object. We will therefore present the applicable method for the attribute changes of the linear object like the sewage pipe plans. For this reason, this paper is designed on the basis of Dynamic Segmentation(DS). DS has the advantage of giving the attribute value to the exact place in the linear object. As a result of using DS, the variety environment changes around the sewage pipes are applied to the building sewerage data. This also makes it possible to get a precise estimation for the maximum dirty water amount.

  • In the real world, there are both dynamic objects and static objects, but an autonomous vehicle or mobile robot cannot distinguish between them, even though a human can distinguish them easily. It is important to distinguish static objects from dynamic objects clearly to perform autonomous driving successfully and stably for an autonomous vehicle or mobile robot. To do this, various sensor systems can be used, like cameras and LiDAR. Stereo camera images are used often for autonomous driving. The stereo camera images can be used in object recognition areas like object segmentation, classification, and tracking, as well as navigation areas like 3D world reconstruction. This study suggests a method to distinguish static/dynamic objects using stereo vision for an online autonomous vehicle and mobile robot. The method was applied to a 3D world map reconstructed from stereo vision for navigation and had 99.81% accuracy.

  • Researches are underway to use a radar sensor, a sensor used for object recognition in vehicles, for position estimation. In particular, a method of classifying dynamic and static objects using the Doppler velocity, the output from the radar sensor, and calculating ego-motion using only static objects has been researched recently. Also, for the existing dynamic object classification, several methods using RANSAC or robust filtering has been proposed. Still, a classification method with higher performance is needed due to the nature of the position estimation, in which even a single failure causes large effects. Hence, in this paper, we propose a method to improve the classification performance compared to existing methods through tracking and filtering of dynamic objects. Additionally, the method used a GMPHD filter to maximize tracking performance. In effect, the method showed higher performance in terms of classification accuracy compared to existing methods, and especially shows that the failure of the RANSAC could be prevented.

  • Recently, object detection is a critical function for any system that uses computer vision and is widely used in various fields such as video surveillance and self-driving cars. However, the conventional methods can not detect the objects clearly because of the dynamic background change in the beach. In this paper, we propose a new technique to detect humans correctly in the dynamic videos like shores. A new background modeling method that combines spatial GMM (Gaussian Mixture Model) and temporal GMM is proposed to make more correct background image. Also, the proposed method improve the accuracy of people detection by using SVM (Support Vector Machine) to classify people from the objects and KCF (Kernelized Correlation Filter) Tracker to track people continuously in the complicated environment. The experimental result shows that our method can work well for detection and tracking of objects in videos containing dynamic factors and situations.

  • In this paper we suggest dynamic access control model based on context satisfied with requirement of u-healthcare environment through researching the role based access control model. For the dynamic security domain management, we used a distributed object group framework and context information for dynamic access control used the constructed database. We defined decision rule by knowledge reduction in decision making table, and applied this rule in our model as a rough set theory. We showed the executed results of context based dynamic security service through u-healthcare application which is based on distributed object group framework. As a result, our dynamic access control model provides an appropriate security service according to security domain, more flexible access control in u-healthcare environment.

  • Semantics-based notations need to be used for specification of static and dynamic semantics to specify and implement new programming language. If the semantics is practically defined, we easily gain a translator according to the implementation of the semantics. In this paper, we describe the static and dynamic semantics to get a translator easily. We present practical semantics-based Action Equations, an extension and transformation of Attribute Grammar(AGs) suitable for specifying the static and dynamic semantics of a object oriented programming language. Compare with the existing descriptions, Action Equations is superior, modernized, and accurate.

  • In this paper, both dynamic constraints and kinematic constraints are considered for the analysis of manipulability of robotic systems comprised of multiple cooperating arms. Given bounds on the torques of each Joint actuator for every robot, the purpose of this study is to drive the bounds of task-space acceleration of object carried by the system. Bounds on each joint torque, described as a polytope, is transformed to the task-space acceleration through matrices related with robot dynamics, robot kinematics, object dynamics, grasp conditions, and contact conditions. A series of mathematical manipulations including the procedure calculating minimum infinite-norm solution of linear equation is applied to get the reachable acceleration bounds from given actuator dynamic constrains. Several examples including two robot systems as well as three robot system are shown with the assumptions of complete-constraint contact model(or' very soft contact') and insufficient or proper degree of freedom robot.

  • This paper presents a method to segment object ID(identification) marks on poor quality images under uncontrolled lighting conditions of automated inspection process. The method is based on dynamic programming using multiple templates and normalized gray-level correlation (NGC) method. If the lighting condition is not good and hence, we can not control the image quality, target image to be inspected presents poor quality ID marks and it is not easy to identify and recognize the ID characters. Conventional several methods to segment the interesting ID mark regions fail on the bad quality images. In this paper, we propose a multiple template method, which uses combinational relation of multiple templates from model templates to match several characters of the inspection images. To increase the computation speed to segment the ID mark regions, we introduce the dynamic programming based algorithm. Experimental results using images from real factory automation(FA) environment are presented.
