Order Reduction Paradigm for Consensus of Neutrally Stable Multi-Agent Systems (중립적으로 안정한 다개체 시스템의 일치에 대한 제어기 차수 감소 패러다임)

  • In this paper we study the consensus problem of SISO (Single-Input Single-Output) linear multi-agent systems under a fixed weighted undirected network communication. The dynamics of each agent can be of any order, while it is constrained to be neutrally stable. Based on a simple root locus argument, we show that the problem at hand is always solvable if the gain and zeros of the dynamic compensator, of which dimension is the same as the number of plant poles on the imaginary axis, are chosen suitably, finally the result is successfully verified by an example.

  • This paper describes the development of the transient analysis model of 345[kV] 100[MVA] STATCOM and the result of the performance analysis. The Korea power utility company, KEPCO began a commercial operation of a 100[MVA] STATCOM(Static synchronous COMpensator) at 345[kV] Migeum substation in Seoul. In order to operate a new control device like STATCOM to the power system, suitable transient model is needed. Therfore, Korea Electric Power Coporation(KEPCO) developed a transient analysis models using EMTDC/PSCAD. The development of this transient analysis model is based on the actual STATCOM S/W algorithm and H/W specification that was provided by its manufacture. Through this model, the transient/dynamic performance of STATCOM at Migeum substation can be analyzed.

  • This paper describes dynamic performance analysis of a STATCOM based on 3-level inverter. Major attention is focused on the controller design for 3-level inverter, including regulator design for voltage sharing across the dc link capacitors. A detailed simulation model was developed with Matlab and a scaled hardware model was built and tested to verify the proposed approach. Both simulation and experimental results confirm that the developed controller can regulate the reactive power. The developed controller could be effectively applied to the actual hardware system for STATCOM.

  • 수용가측의 전력품질에 대한 관심이 나날이 높아지고 있는 가운데 공장자동화, 및 컴퓨터의 보급확산으로 배전계통에 비선형 부하와 같은 악성부하들이 증가되고 있으며, 다른 한편으로는 공정제어기 및 인버터, 마이크로 프로세서와 같은 전력품질에 매우 민감한 부하기기들이 불특정 다수 분산적으로 도입ㆍ활용되고 있다. 이에 따라서 최근 전 세계적으로 전력품질에 의한 경제적 피해 사례가 보고되고 있어, 세계 선진국의 전력관련 산업체 및 연구소를 중심으로 한 전력품질 보상기기 개발에 대한 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있다. 이들에 대한 대표적인 기기들로서는 병렬형 전력품질 보상기기인 STATCOM(Static Compensator)과 직렬형 전력품질 보상기기인 DVR(Dynamic Voltage Restorer), 고속 전력 절체 스위치인 SSTS(Solid State Transfer Switch) 등을 열거할 수 있다.   • 본 고에서는 현재 개발 및 필드테스트되고 있는 전력품질 보상기기인 STATCOM(Static Compensator), DVR(Dynamic Voltage Restorer), 고속전력절체스위치 SSTS(Solid State Transfer Switch)들이 국내 22.9kV급 배전계통에 도입되어 운용될 경우, 배전계통의 전력품질상의 외란, 즉 voltage sag, voltage swell, interruption등에 대해서도 부하기기가 문제없이 잘 동작할 수 있어야 하는 전력품질향상기기의 성능(전력품질향상기준)에 대한 평가방법 에 대하여 기술하고자 한다. 먼저, 전력품질향상기기인 DVR, D-STATCOM, SSTS들이 만족해야할 전력품질향상기준을 국내 전력 품질 실태를 고려하여 제시하고, 또한, 이들 전력품질향상기기에 대한 국내 배전계통적용에 적합한 성능평가방안을 제안/소개하기로 한다. Robust Controller Design for Non-square Linear Systems Using a Passivation Approach (수동화 기법에 의한 비정방 선형 시스템의 강인 제어기 설계)

  • We present a state-space approach to design a passivity-based dynamic output feedback control of a finite collection of non-square linear systems. We first determine a squaring gain matrix and an additional dynamics that is connected to the systems in a feedforward way, then a static passivating (i.e. rendering passive) control law is designed. Consequently, the actual feedback controller will be the static control law combined with the feedforward dynamics. A necessary and sufficient condition for the existence of the parallel feedfornward compensator (PFC) is given by the static output feedback fomulation, which enables to utilize linear matrix inequality (LMI). The effectiveness of the proposed method is illustrated by some examples including the systems which can be stabilized by the proprotional-derivative (PD) control law.

  • This paper proposes a Self-Tuning control algorithm for tracking the reference trajectory by measuring the end-point of robot manipulator whose links are light and flexible, and the performance of it is tested through the computer simulation. As an object of system, a flexible robot manipulator with two-links is considered and an assumed mode shape method including gravity force is adopted to analyze the vibration modes for each links and dynamics equation is derived. The controller is designed as a combined form which consists of dynamic feedforward compensator and self-tuning feedback controller. The one supplies nominal torque and the other supplies variational torque to manipulator. Apart from the, K-incremental predictor is also proposed in order to eliminate the offset error. and it shows that the result of simulation adapted well to load change and rapid velocity.

  • This paper describes performance analysis techniques for SSSC using computer simulations with EMPT and experiments with a hardware scaled-model. A switching-level simulation model with EMTP was developed for the SSSC connected in series with the transmission line. The increase of transmission capability and dynamic performance was analyzed with the simulation model. The simulation results were reverified by experimental works with a hardware scaled-model. The developed analysis techniques can be used for designing and evaluating actual system of SSSC.

  • The thyristor controlled series compensator can vary the impedance continuously to levels below and up to the line's natural impedance, thus enabling transmission line capability to be increased and power flow to be controlled. The dynamic performance of TCSC to increase the power system damping is mainly analyzed in this paper. The TCSC controller used here is of the PID type and the input signal to the controller is the active power flow through the TCSC. The TCSC parameters are determined so as to minimize the modal performance measure for duping of power system oscillations.

  • In this paper, reduced-order $H_{\infty}$ robust controller is designed for the drum-type boiler system. From the known nonlinear dynamic model, a linearized multivariable model is obtained. To reduce order of robust controller, observer-based proper $H_{\infty}$ compensator is designed. The designed controller has robust property against the influence of sensor noise, system parameter variation and model uncertainty. A good Performance of the designed controller is shown by simulation.
