Background: Marriage is one of the major life events and the primary source of individual happiness and meaning of life. It is not possible to predict who will marry whom and which marriage will be successful. Marital adjustment has significant influences on an individual and relationship functioning and is associated with mental health. Good marital quality may imply good general relationship. There are several factors that correlate with or predict good marital quality. Especially individual personality factors may be a major factor in achieving and maintaining marital stability, satisfaction and happiness. The aim of the present study was to investigate the possible relationship between dyadic adjustment and personality dimensions in urban married women. Methods: Dyadic Adjustment Scale, Eysenck's Personality Questionnaire, Beck Depression Inventory and State-Trait Anxiety Inventory were administered to 215 married women. Data analysis was based on 170 women who provided reliable informations. The descriptive statistics of demographic data and 4 scales were obtained. Then the possible relationships between each data were tested by calculating Pearson's product moment correlations. To test the effects of depression and anxiety on dyadic adjustment, stepwise multiple regression analysis was done. Results: Age and length of marriage were negatively correlated with affectional expression and dyadic cohesion. Educational level was positively correlated with total dyadic adjustment score and dyadic satisfaction. Family income was positively correlated with total dyadic adjustment score, dyadic consensus, dyadic satisfaction and dyadic cohesion. Different family type showed different total dyadic adjustment score, dyadic satisfaction and dyadic cohesion. Psychoticism was negatively correlated with total dyadic adjustment score, dyadic consensus, dyadic satisfaction, affectional expression and dyadic cohesion. Neuroticism was negatively correlated with total dyadic adjustment score, dyadic consensus, dyadic satisfaction and affectional expression. Extraversion and lie were not correlated with any factors. Beck Depression Inventory and State-Trait Anxiety Inventory scores were negatively correlated with total dyadic adjustment score, dyadic consensus, dyadic satisfaction, affectional expression and dyadic cohesion. The result of multiple regression analysis indicated that psychoticism was correlated with dyadic adjustment. Conclusion: These results showed that the demographic factors such as age, length of marriage, educational level, family income and family type were significantly correlated with dyadic adjustment. Psychoticism and neuroticism measured by Eysenck Personality Inventory were significantly correlated with dyadic adjustment. But the correlations with extraversion and lie were not significant. Especially correlation between neuroticism and dyadic adjustment seemed to be mediated by emotional state such as depression and anxiety. These findings suggest that personality factors may be involved in marital relationship and that clinician must consider personality aspect in dealing with marital problems. Future study about differences between control group and psychiatric patient group will be needed.
Purpose - This study examined the relationship between dyadic relationship between leaders and followers (DRLF), distributive justice (DISJ), job satisfaction (JSTC), and organizational commitment (OGCM). Research design, data, and methodology - 200 sets of survey questionnaires were distributed to the employees at a municipal office in East Malaysia using purposive sampling technique. Only 60 percent or 115 questionnaires were returned to the researchers. The survey data were analysed using the SmartPLS due to its ability to deliver latent construct scores, handle small sample size problems and estimate relationship between many constructs in the hypothesized model. Results - The findings indicated that there is a significant correlated direct relationship between DRLF and DISJ and mediating relationship between DRLF, DISJ and personal outcomes, which are JSTC and OGCM. Conclusions - This study confirms that DISJ does act as an important mediating variable in the relationship between DRLF with JSTC and DRLF with OGCM. Other dimensions of personal outcomes, such as extra-role behaviour, job motivation and service quality should be considered in future study because they are found to be the important outcomes of the relationship between DRLF and DISJ. The importance of these issues need to be further advanced in future research.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of marital conflicts on dyadic adjustment and the mediating effects of positive emotion and sex-role attitude. The participants were total 270 middle-aged married people and data was collected from April 12 to June 24 in 2014. The data was collected with structured questionnaire and analyzed with the SPSS 17.0 and AMOS 18.0 programs. Results were as follows. First, marital conflicts had a significant direct effect and indirect effect through the mediation of positive emotion on dyadic adjustment. Second, positive emotion had a significant mediating effect but sex-role attitude did not. Third, The modified model showed a good fitness indices( ${\chi}^2$=38.90 standardized ${\chi}^2$=1.77(CMIN/df), GFI=.97, AGFI=.94, NFI=.98, SRMR=.02, CFI=.99, RMSEA=.05) and explanation power was 88.9%. These results suggest that middle-aged dyadic adjustment can be improved by increasing positive emotion. This study results will be contribute to develop intervention program for enhancement of marital relationship and education program for middle-aged.
Objectives: The purpose of this study is to examine whether the maternal and paternal value of children mediates the relationship between the marital relationship satisfaction and the parental sense of competence in the longitudinal dyadic approach. Method: The data were obtained from the Panel Study on Korean Children (PSKC) conducted by the Korea Institute of Child Care and Education. Using the Actor-Partner Interdependence Model(APIM), the author analyzed three waves (from 5th to 7th year) of the data, and the sample size was 1,773. The average age was 34.79 for mothers, and 37.26 for fathers. Their average length of marriage was 95.3 months, and their children were 51.03 months old on average. Results: The marital relationship satisfaction influenced the parental sense of competence with both the actor effect and the partner effect of mothers and fathers. The marital relationship satisfaction also influenced the value of children, with the actor effect from both mothers and fathers and with the partner effect only from mothers. The value of children influenced the parental sense of competence with the actor effect only from mothers and fathers. Also, the value of children mediated the relationship between the marital relationship satisfaction and the parental sense of competence with the actor effect from both mothers and fathers. For the partner effect, only the mediation path from fathers' marital relationship satisfaction to mothers' value of children to mothers' parental sense of competence was significant. Conclusions: These results suggest the importance of highlighting the marital relationship satisfaction and the value of children to improve the parental sense of competence.

The study aims to investigate new theoretical approaches in an effort to resolve conceptual contradictions regarding the impact of organizational culture on developing culture for change, first by providing socio-structural frameworks supporting intrapreneurship, and second through encouraging professional culture behavior with management practices or organizational members acting as agents of change forming a deeper culture of values and behavior. The design of this research is quantitative. This study employs survey data of managers and section heads, which met the sampling requirements. Data analysis in this research used structural equation modeling (SEM) with the help of the AMOS program. The results show that all hypotheses are supported. The findings of this study suggest that the organizational culture transformation and dyadic social intrapreneurship based on professional culture (DSIBPC) have significant positive influence as antecedents of competitive advantage. This research also shows that DSIBPC is able to act as an important mediator that fills a gap in the relationship between organizational culture transformation toward competitive advantage, as well as being an alternative strategy for organizations in an effort to increase their competitive advantage. Referring to the results of this research, organizations need to focus and pay attention to the DSIBPC.
The main purpose of this article was to examine the general tendency of self-disclosure and perceived self-disclosure in married couples, and to study the effect of demographic variables on them. and to find out how dyadic trust affects on self-disclosure in married couples. Considering those purposes, the following research questions have been raised : 1) What is the general tendency of self-disclosure in married couples? 2) What is the general tendency of perceived self-disclosure in married couples? 3) Does perceived self-disclosure affect on self-disclosure in married couples? 4) How do the demographic varibles affect on self-disclosure in married couples? 5) Does dyadic trust affect on self-disclosure in married couples? To solve these questions, a questionnaires which consisted of 8 items for demographic variables, of which 8 questions are for dyadic trust, and 36 questions for self-disclosure in married couples was made. This reserch 몽 been conducted from April 4, 1990 to April 15, 1990. which surveyed 560 married men and women who are living in Seoul. Only answers from 432 married men and women were analysed out of them. The analytic methods adopted in this study were the frequency, the perentage, t-test, oneway ANOVA, DUNCAN -tst, and pearson's r. Especially SPSS/${pc}^+$ program was used in order to promate the feasibility in statistical analysis. The major findings of the study are as follows : 1) Self-disclosure in married couples in generally higher than expected(M=40.4) : wife's self-disclosure(M41.5) is higher than husband's self-disclosure(M=39.4) 2) Between self-disclosure and perceived self-disclosure in married couples correlated considerably high(husband r=0.67, wife r=.75) 3) Self-disclosure in married couples are affected by the variables such as age, length of marriage, everage family income a month. 4) Self-disclosure in married couples correlated relatively low with dyadic trust(husband r=0.21, wife r=.31)
This study focused on appreciative inquiry(AI) of salespeople who have to respond to various types of emotions according to the desires of individual customers at service contact points and the effect of emotional labor on adaptive selling behavior and customer satisfaction. Dyadic questionnaires were administerd to 115 automobile salespeople and 2 customers who received service from each salesperson, and the collected data was analyzed by using structural equation modeling. The results showed that AI had positive influences on deep acting and surface acting. Only deep acting was found to have positive relationship with adaptive selling behavior, but not to surface acting. Adaptive selling behavior had a positive effect on customer satisfaction. This study will contribute to identifying the need for AI access for salespersons and for activating adaptive selling behavior through emotional labor related to AI practice.
This study showed that the association between solidarity and conflict is mediated by the communication of grandmothers and an adult child at the dyadic level. The common fate model (CFM) was designed to model mediation effects at the level of dyads. Participants consisted of 297 grandmother dyads and their adult child who were rearing preschool-aged grandchildren in Seoul and Gyeonggi-do. For analysis at the dyadic level, grandmothers and adults responded to the same questionnaire on the same variables. SPSS 23.0 performed descriptive statistical analysis and correlation analysis. The structural equation model (SEM) was estimated with AMOS 23.0. We tested the mediation model using the maximum likelihood method. Model fit index used the chi-square statistic, the incremental fit index (IFI), the comparative fit index (CFI), the root mean square error of approximation (RMSEA). The statistical significance of the indirect effect was examined using a bootstrapping procedure. The results are as follows. First, in the CFM, the direct effect between solidarity and conflict was significant. Therefore, the higher the solidarity, the lower conflict of grandmothers and an adult child. Second, the association between solidarity and conflict is mediated by communication at the dyadic level. Based on the results of this study, we discussed ways to strengthen the capacity of co-parenting between grandmothers and an adult child.
In business-to-business setting, dyadic relationships between firms are of paramount interest. Recent developments in business practice strongly suggest that to understand these business relationships, greater attention must be directed to the embedded context within which dyadic business relationships take place. As a result, it is important to develop an understanding which is to move from dyadic business relationship to business networks. The purpose of the current study is (1) to identify types of network benefits: information acquisition, access to tangible resources, cooperative support from network members, (2) to model network benefit efforts on a customer orientation for customer firm, (3) to examine the relationship between network characteristics and network benefits. Adopting resource-based view and social capital theory, the conceptual model is proposed. In order to develop and test a model, this paper was empirically to examine how network characteristics can reinforce network benefits leading to focal firm's customer orientation using 123 firms. Through structural equation modeling, this research found that (1) density influences information acquisition, access to tangible resources, cooperative support from network members, (2) centrality increases information acquisition, access to tangible resources. We also find that information acquisition, access to tangible resources, cooperative support from network members enhances focal firm's customer orientation. Finally, We discuss several theoretical and practical implications, and suggest limitations for the research and future research issue.
Building on the DC interaction model between a parent company and its spin-offs, we examine that a dyadic relationship can be differentiated within the functions of space, motivation, and time. We investigate that these three factors encompassing the parent-spin-off DC relationship can be applicable to both linear(i.e., geographic proximity and low spin-off CEO's salary is positive) and nonlinear(i.e., too much frequency of new spin-off creation is as harmful as too little) effects on determining the performance of spin-off firms. The direction of causality is underpinned by social capital, human capital, and compensation-activation theory rather than by the normal consequences of previous empirical research. Further, our results suggest the overlap between DC and entrepreneurship; namely, spin-off firms create, learn, and exploit opportunities through a reconfiguration of parent DC so that DC establishes itself as a key concept in the entrepreneurship domain.
