  • In this paper we develop a dual storage device to store a lot of data safely and reliably in communication system. The device consists of micro-controller, FPGA and hard disk. It provides many functions those are rebuilding, automatic remapping, host service and remote host service. The developed device can be used instead of expensive storage device like flash memory in various communication systems.

  • This paper describes the design and implementation of dryer controller using the dual processor. This system has higher performance of system recovery from the noise than the existing single processor dryer. And in this paper temperature control method of Dryer using on-off fuzzy logic is proposed to improve the overshoot of temperature in dryer. Experimental results shows that the performance of fuzzy controller is better than that of controller based upon on-off control method.

  • In this article, as a way of pursuing high spectral efficiency and flexible cell planning, co-channel dual-polarization techniques are suggested for B-WLL applications. It provides a double down stream capacity compared with conventional scheme and also makes some flexibility in cell planning. In order to implement co-channel B-WLL system, some frequency plans, interference cancellation methods, and system block diagrams are presented here.

  • In this paper. to eliminate a cross-polarization interference caused by co-channel dual polarization technique of digital radio relay system(DRRS), a cross-polarization interference canceller(XPIC) is analysed in terms of the analytical modeling, digital design, and its performance. By virtue of a 13-tap adaptive equalizer and XPIC, about 23dB in XPIC improvement can be obtained by computer simulation. To show the operation of designed XPIC, some simulated results are reviewed under 64-QAM DRRS with co -channel dual Polarization.

  • In this paper, we designed sandwich type pressure regulator for air pressure control system. As a result of research, we obtained several important conclusions. First, we decided theory of poppet valve and relief valve which are used in sandwich type pressure regulator, and then designed prototype of pressure regulator. Second, we organized circuit diagram of dual pressure regulator of air pressure control system.

  • In the present paper, the hydrodynamic properties of a Rahmen-type, flexible, porous breakwater interacting with obliquely or normal- incident small amplitude waves are numerically investigated. This system is composed of dual vertical porous membranes, hinged at the side edges of a submerged horizontal membrane. The dual vertical membranes are extended downward and hinged at seabed. The effects of permeability, Rahmen-type membrane breakwater geometry, pre-tensions on membranes, relative dimensionless wave number, and incident wave headings are thoroughly examined.

Study on Effective Visual Surveillance System using Dual-mode(Fixed+Pan/Tilt/Zoom) Camera (듀얼 모드(고정형+PTZ 카메라) 감시 카메라를 이용한 효과적인 화상 감시 시스템에 관한 연구)

  • An effective dual-mode camera system(a passive wide-angle camera and a pan-tilt-zoom camera) is proposed in order to improve the performance of visual surveillance. The fixed wide-angle camera is used to monitor large open areas, but the moving objects on the images are too small to view in detail. And, the PTZ camera is capable of increasing the monitoring area and enhancing the image quality by tracking and zooming in on a specific moving target. However, its FOV (Field of View) is limited when zooming in on a specific target. Therefore, the cooperation of wide-angle and PTZ cameras is complementary. In this paper, we propose an automatic initial set-up algorithm and coordinate transform method from the wide-angle camera coordinate to the PTZ one, which are necessary to achieve the cooperation. The automatic initial set-up algorithm is able to synchronize the views of two cameras. When a moving object appears on the image plane of a wide-angle camera after the initial set-up positioning, the obtained values of the wide-angle camera should be transformed to the PTZ values based on the coordinate transform method. We also develope the PTZ control method. Various in-door and out-door experiments show that the proposed dual-camera system is feasible for the effective visual surveillance.
