WEAKLY DENSE IDEALS IN PRIVALOV SPACES OF HOLOMORPHIC FUNCTIONS

  • In this paper we study the structure of closed weakly dense ideals in Privalov spaces $N^p$ (1 < p < $\infty$) of holomorphic functions on the disk $\mathbb{D}$ : |z| < 1. The space $N^p$ with the topology given by Stoll's metric [21] becomes an F-algebra. N. Mochizuki [16] proved that a closed ideal in $N^p$ is a principal ideal generated by an inner function. Consequently, a closed subspace E of $N^p$ is invariant under multiplication by z if and only if it has the form $IN^p$ for some inner function I. We prove that if $\cal{M}$ is a closed ideal in $N^p$ that is dense in the weak topology of $N^p$, then $\cal{M}$ is generated by a singular inner function. On the other hand, if $S_{\mu}$ is a singular inner function whose associated singular measure $\mu$ has the modulus of continuity $O(t^{(p-1)/p})$, then we prove that the ideal $S_{\mu}N^p$ is weakly dense in $N^p$. Consequently, for such singular inner function $S_{\mu}$, the quotient space $N^p/S_{\mu}N^p$ is an F-space with trivial dual, and hence $N^p$ does not have the separation property.

Torque Density Improvement of Five-Phase PMSM Drive for Electric Vehicles Applications

  • In order to enhance torque density of five-phase permanent magnetic synchronous motor with third harmonic injection for electric vehicles (EVs) applications, optimum seeking method for injection ratio of third harmonic was proposed adopting theoretical derivation and finite element analysis method, under the constraint of same amplitude for current and air-gap flux. By five-dimension space vector decomposition, the mathematic model in two orthogonal space plane, $d_1-q_1$ and $d_3-q_3$, was deduced. And the corresponding dual-plane vector control method was accomplished to independently control fundamental and third harmonic currents in each vector plane. A five-phase PMSM prototype with quasi-trapezoidal flux pattern and its fivephase voltage source inverter were designed. Also, the dual-plane vector control was digitized in a single XC3S1200E FPGA. Simulation and experimental results prove that using the proposed optimum seeking method, the torque density of five-phase PMSM is enhanced by 20%, without any increase of power converter capacity, machine size and iron core saturation.

  • 인공위성의 반작용 휠 클러스터는 보통 4개의 반작용 휠로 구성이 된다. 각각의 반작용 휠은 인공위성의 자세 축과 일치하게 배치되지 않기 때문에 하나의 반작용 휠에 고장이 일어난 경우 반작용 휠 자체의 센서를 이용한 방법 외에는 고장 분리가 매우 어렵다. 본 논문에서는 이중 필터를 이용하여 고장 검출에 효과적인 파라미터를 구성하고, 인공위성의 반작용 휠 각각이 정지 고장을 일으킬 경우를 가정하여 이중 필터와 다중 가설 필터를 이용하여 반작용 휠의 고장분리기를 설계하였다. 또한 이를 4개의 반작용 휠로 자세제어가 이루어지는 인공위성 시스템에 적용한 시뮬레이션으로 고장 검출 및 분리 성능이 향상되는 것을 검증하였다.

  • 본 논문은 국내 최초로 그레인의 형상을 조절하여 설계한 이중추력형 로켓 모터의 개발에 관하여 기술하였다. 저연소속도 저연 추친제의 조성 및 finocyl형 그레인을 이용한 로켓 모터의 설계와 연소시험 데이터의 분석/평가 결과를 상술하였다. 개발된 이중추력형 로켓 모터는 비행시험에 성공적으로 적용되어 유도탄의 성능향상에 크게 기여하였고, 개발 결과는 향후 유사한 로켓 모터의 개발에 유용하게 사용될 것이다.

Optical Implementation of Triple DES Algorithm Based on Dual XOR Logic Operations

  • In this paper, we propose a novel optical implementation of a 3DES algorithm based on dual XOR logic operations for a cryptographic system. In the schematic architecture, the optical 3DES system consists of dual XOR logic operations, where XOR logic operation is implemented by using a free-space interconnected optical logic gate method. The main point in the proposed 3DES method is to make a higher secure cryptosystem, which is acquired by encrypting an individual private key separately, and this encrypted private key is used to decrypt the plain text from the cipher text. Schematically, the proposed optical configuration of this cryptosystem can be used for the decryption process as well. The major advantage of this optical method is that vast 2-D data can be processed in parallel very quickly regardless of data size. The proposed scheme can be applied to watermark authentication and can also be applied to the OTP encryption if every different private key is created and used for encryption only once. When a security key has data of $512{\times}256$ pixels in size, our proposed method performs 2,048 DES blocks or 1,024 3DES blocks cipher in this paper. Besides, because the key length is equal to $512{\times}256$ bits, $2^{512{\times}256}$ attempts are required to find the correct key. Numerical simulations show the results to be carried out encryption and decryption successfully with the proposed 3DES algorithm.

  • In this paper, we propose a flew technique to the design and real-time control of an adaptive controller for robotic manipulator based on digital signal processors. The Texas Instruments DSPs(TMS320C80) chips are used in implementing real-time adaptive control algorithms to provide enhanced motion control performance for dual-arm robotic manipulators. In the proposed scheme, adaptation laws are derived from model reference adaptive control principle based on the improved Lyapunov second method. The proposed adaptive controller consists of an adaptive feed-forward and feedback controller and time-varying auxiliary controller elements. The proposed control scheme is simple in structure, fast in computation, and suitable for real-time control. Moreover, this scheme does not require any accurate dynamic modeling, nor values of manipulator parameters and payload. Performance of the proposed adaptive controller is illustrated by simulation and experimental results for a dual arm robot manipulator with eight joints. joint space and cartesian space.

  • The KVN(Korean VLBI Network)-style simultaneous multi-frequency receiving mode is demonstrated to be promising for mm-VLBI observations. Recently, other Very long baseline interferometry (VLBI) facilities all over the globe start to implement compatible optics systems. Simultaneous dual/multi-frequency VLBI observations at mm wavelengths with international baselines are thus possible. In this paper, we present the results from the first successful simultaneous 22/43 GHz dual-frequency observation with KaVA(KVN and VERA array), including images and astrometric results. Our analysis shows that the newly implemented simultaneous receiving system has brought a significant extension of the coherence time of the 43 GHz visibility phases along the international baselines. The astrometric results obtained with KaVA are consistent with those obtained with the independent analysis of the KVN data. Our results thus confirm the good performance of the simultaneous receiving systems for the nonKVN stations. Future simultaneous observations with more global stations bring even higher sensitivity and micro-arcsecond level astrometric measurements of the targets.

  • In this manuscript we solve in the positive a question informally proposed by Enflo on the measure of the set of isometric reflection vectors in non-Hilbert 2-dimensional real Banach spaces. We also reformulate equivalently the separable quotient problem in terms of isometric reflection vectors. Finally, we give a new and easy example of a real Banach space whose dual has a non-trivial L-summand that does not come from an M-ideal in the predual.
