In combining dispersed optimization models, either primal or dual(or both) decomposition method widely used as an organizing device. Interpreting the methods economically, the concepts of price and resource-directive coordination are generally well accepted. Most of deomposition/ integration methods utilize either primal information of dual information, not both, from subsystems, while some authors have developed mixed decomposition approaches employing two master problems dealing primal and dual proposals separately. In this paper a hybrid decomposition method is introduced, where one hybrid master problem utilizes the underlying relationships between primal and dual information from each subsystem. The suggested method is well justified with respect to the flexibility in information flow pattern choice (some prices and other quantities) and to the compatibility of subdivision's optimum to the systemwide optimum, that is often lacking in conventional decomposition methods such as Dantzig-Wolfe's. A numerical example is also presented to illustrate the suggested approach.

The dual singular function method [DSFM] is a solver for corner sigulaity problem. We already construct DSFM in previous reserch to solve the Stokes equations including one singulairity at each reentrant corner, but we find out a crucial incorrection in the proof of well-posedness and regularity of dual singular function. The goal of this paper is to prove accuracy and well-posdness of DSFM for Stokes equations including two singulairities at each corner. We also introduce new applicable algorithms to slove multi-singulrarity problems in a complicated domain.

In this paper, Eringen's nonlocal thermoelasticity is constructed to study wave propagation in a rotating two-temperature thermoelastic half-space. The problem is applied in the context of the dual-phase-lag (Dual) model, coupled theory (CD), and Lord-Shulman (L-S) theory. Using suitable non-dimensional fields, the harmonic wave analysis is used to solve the problem. Comparisons are carried with the numerical values predicted in the absence and presence of the gravity field, a nonlocal parameter as well as rotation. The present study is valuable for the analysis of nonlocal thermoelastic problems under the influence of the gravity field, mechanical force, and rotation.

The objectives of this study have been carried out to investigate the solubilization of municipal sewage sludge by single and dual frequency ultrasonic pretreatment, and the methane production characteristics of pretreated sewage sludge by specific methanogenic activity test for sewage sludge reduction. The waste activated sludge was collected from thickened tank of Suyoung sewage treatment plant in Busan city, and its concentration was adjusted to 1.0% total solids. Ultrasonic frequency was varied 15, 20, 15+20 kHz, and acoustic density was used a maximum 176W/L. The dual frequency ultrasonic pretreatment was found to be more effective than single frequency ultrasonic in the solubilization rate and methane production. The $SCOD_{Cr}/TCOD_{Cr}$, rate were 15.2%, 13.9%, 17.0% with single frequency of 15 kH2, 20 kHz, dual frequency of 15+20 kHz, respectively. The application of dual frequency ultrasound for sewage sludge pretreatment can be interest for sewage treatment plants having problems in sludge treatment and disposal.

인체의 하지 MR Angiography(MRA)를 위한 하지전용 dual birdcage RF 코일을 설계, 제작하였으며 Volunteer실험을 하여 그 유용성을 보였다. 제안된 코일은 인체의 하지 전체의 영상을 위한 코일로 허벅지로부터 종아리까지 전체를 두 번의 영상을 통해 cover하게 된다. 기존의 방식대로 한 개의 코일을 옮기며 두 번 촬영할 경우 코일을 도중에 옮기게 외어 다리를 움직일 수밖에 없어 두 set의 영상이 완전히 연결이 되지 않지만 제안된 코일의 경우 침대만 움직이게 되므로 이런 문제가 없게 된다. 제안된 코일의 성능은 Volunteer의 하지 MRI 및 MRA를 얻어 확인했으며 임상적으로 매우 유용한 것으로 확인되었다.

Recently, an optical disc system has been proposed using blue laser diode, high NA objective lens and groove only disc structure. A new method is needed to readout CD and DVD in this blue system. In order to readout CD and DVD in HD-DVD system, we adopted dual-lenses actuator in consideration of optical utilization efficiency, optical performance and insurance of sufficient W.D (working distance). This dual-lenses actuator has two objectives in radial direction, one is for CD/DVD and the other is for HD-DVD. We had to solve the induced problems of DC tilt increase, $2^{nd}$ resonance deterioration and AC sensitivity drop caused by disposing two lenses in an actuator. Especially, to solve AC sensitivity drop, we introduced two 2-pole magnets and separated focus and track magnetic circuits. Consequently we presented that dual-lenses actuator has been possessed good performance. And we measured eye patterns of CD, DVD and HD-DVD by using HD-DVD optical pick-up with dual-lenses actuator.

컴퓨터 그래픽스나 기하 정보 분석 및 검색 등의 애플리케이션에서 일반적인 octree가 널리 사용된다. 그러나 거리장 등 공간에 분포하는 특정한 연속 정보를 샘플링하기 위한 목적으로 일반적인 octree를 적용할 경우 샘플링 데이터 중복과 샘플링 지점과 표현 단위의 불일치가 발생한다. 이 문제를 해결하기 위해 dual octree가 제안된 바 있다. 본 논문에서는 dual octree가 일반적인 octree의 단점은 해결했으나 무한하게 분할을 수행하더라도 특정한 연속 영역에 액세스하지 못한다는 사실을 증명하고 이러한 모든 문제들을 해결할 수 있는 대안으로 Lefebvre와 Hoppe가 제안한 primal tree를 응용할 수 있음을 제시한다. 또한 트리 구조의 병렬화에 널리 사용되는 Morton code를 응용한 3차원 primal tree 검색 알고리즘을 제안한다.

This paper presents a design for a throughput-efficient online relay selection scheme for dual-hop multi-relay cooperative networks. Problems arise with these networks due to unpredictability of the relaying link quality and high time-consumption to probe the dual-hop link. In this paper, we firstly propose a novel probing and relaying protocol, which greatly reduces the overhead of the dual-hop link estimation by leveraging the wireless broadcasting nature of the network. We then formulate an opportunistic relay selection process for the online decision-making, which uses a tradeoff between obtaining more link information to establish better cooperative relaying and minimizing the time cost for dual-hop link estimation to achieve higher throughput. Dynamic programming is used to construct the throughput-optimal control policy for a typically heterogeneous Rayleigh fading environment, and determines which relay to probe and when to transmit the data. Additionally, we extend the main results to mixed Rayleigh/Rician link scenarios, i.e., where one side of the relaying link experiences Rayleigh fading while the other has Rician distribution. Numerical results validate the effectiveness and superiority of our proposed relaying scheme, e.g., it achieves at least 107% throughput gain compared with the state of the art solution.

WiBro/WLAN Hierarchical 네트워크 구성 시 듀얼모드 단말기는 Hotspot 지역 이외의 WiBro 네트워크만 존재하는 지역에서도 Vertical 핸드오프를 위해서 항상 WLAN 모듈을 Power on 상태로 유지해야 한다. 핫스팟 지역이 아닌 WiBro 네트워크에서도 듀얼모드 단말기의 WLAN 모듈을 Power on 상태로 유지하기 때문에 사용자의 단말은 불필요한 전력을 소모하게 된다. 본 논문은 이를 보완할 수 있는 WiBro/WLAN Hierarchical 네트워크에서 듀얼모드 단말기의 Power Saving 전략에 관해 다루었다. 본 논문에서는 WiBro 네트워크 내의 핫스팟에 대한 정보를 이용하여 듀얼모드 단말기의 효율적인 Power Saving 전략을 수립하고자 한다.

본 논문에서는 SD-TDQAO (Sequential Dual - Two-point Diagonal Quadratic Approximate Optimization)라는 쌍대기법을 이용한 순차적 최적설계 알고리즘을 제안한다. 이 방법은 비선형 목적함수와 제한조건이 포함되어 있는 공학적인 문제를 효과적으로 풀 수 있도록 하는데 목적이 있다. 기존의 볼록성과 분리성이 만족되지 않는 eTDQA2 방법을 이용하여 쌍대기법에 이용할 수 있도록 이차 근사함수의 헤시언 대각요소에 이를 적용하여 쉽게 볼록성과 분리성을 보장할 수 있도록 하였다. 또한 이를 수학적 예제와 위상 최적설계문제를 통해 기존의 쌍대기법 알고리즘인 MMA 와의 비교로 그 성능을 입증하였다.
