This paper was aimed to identify the hand and sensibility of silk woven fabrics for neckties to find their relationships to the hand and purchasing preferences and to make their image scale. 56 male and female students evaluated 20 specimens with semantic differential scale of 21 hand and 25 sensibility adjectives. Data were analyzed through factor analysis pearson correlational coefficient t-test using PC SAS package. the hand adjectives were grouped as 4 surface property thermal property flexibility and dryness. The sensibility adjectives were modern classic character and natural,. The flat fabrics with warm hand displayed 'modern' sensibility but those with col hand show 'classic' The rough fabrics with warm hand showed 'natural' but those with cool hand showed 'character' The fabrics rated as high hand preference and purchasing preference showed soft and flat hand occuring 'modern' and 'classic' sensibility.

It has been well known that mushroom polysaccharide extracts have superoxide and hydroxyl radical scavenging activities. So we studied the efficacy and anti-oxidative effect of mushroom(Auricularia auricula U.) in rats treated with water and ethanol extracts of Auricularia auricula U after inducing dryness of skin by the application of detergent. The results of the research for of the efficacy and anti-oxidative effect Auricularia auricula U. are as follows thats. Weight gain and feed intake in animals treated with water extracts and ethanol extracts are significantly higher(p<0.05) than animal treated with detergent. Animals treated with water extracts of Auricularia auricula U. compared to animals treated with ethanol extracts have the higher HDL-cholesterol levels in the blood and the lower LDL-cholesterol levels in the blood. SOD-like activity of the ethanol extracts of Auricularia auricula U. was $27.39{\pm}1.61%$ at 2000ppm.

Avocado, superfood, contains a variety of essential nutrients and phytochemicals. The purpose of this study was to explore whether avocado could modulate skin inflammation in vivo. We elucidated the pharmacological effects of avocado on compound 48/80- or histamine-induced scratching behaviors and 2, 4-dinitrochlorobenzene (DNCB)-induced atopic dermatitis (AD)-like skin lesions in mice. Additionally, we investigated the anti-inflammatory activity of avocado and its underlying mechanism including its effect on the expression levels of inflammatory-related genes and nuclear factor-κB (NF-κB) in DNCB-induced AD-like skin lesions. The findings of this study demonstrate that avocado attenuated AD-clinical symptoms including itching, eczematous, erythema and dryness and histamine levels in mice. Moreover, avocado suppressed both inflammatory cytokines expression as well as NF-κB and caspase-1 activation in AD-like skin lesions in mice. Taken together, these results demonstrate that avocado may be a potential candidate for treating skin inflammatory diseases like AD.

In this paper, a fish drying process control system is proposed, which predicts the proper change with time in weight of the material fish and the drying conditions in advance, based on the performance of skilled worker. In order to implement a human expertise into an automated fish drying process control system, an experimental analysis is made and a model for the process is built. The proposed system divided into two procedures: The procedure before drying and the one during drying. The procedure before drying is for the prediction of necessary drying time. To estimate the necessary drying time, first, the proper change in weight for the product is obtained by using fuzzy reasoning. The condition part of the production rule consists of the factors of fish body and the expected degree of dryness. Kext, the necessary drying time is obtained by regression models. The variables employed in the models are the factors, inferred change in weight and drying conditions. The model for the procedure during drying is also proposed for more accurate estimation, which is described by a system of linear-differential equations.

This study was performed to investigate the optimum moisture content and the best packaging method of dried persimmons for long term storage at room temperature. The package material to be used were 0.05mm polyethylene film, Wrap film, 0.08mm LDPE film exchanged nitrogen gas, and non package for untreated control. Before the storage, the initial moisture contents of dried persimmons were treated with 40%, 35% and 30%, respectively; 40% as traditional dryness, 35% as extending dry period one more week, and 30% as for two more weeks. The best package method was 0.08mm LDPE film exchanged nitrogen gas, and the optimum moisture control was 35%

Objective: This study was done to investigate the safety of Fel Ursi pharmacopuncture solution manufactured with freezing dryness method to use eye drop. Methods: The eye irritation test of this material was performed according to the Regulation of Korea Food & Drug Administration(2005. 10. 21, KFDA 2005-60). After Fel Ursi pharmacopuncture solution was medicated in the left eye of the rabbits, the author observed eye irritation of the cornea, iris, conjunctiva at 1, 2, 3, 4 & 7day. Results: 1. After Fel Ursi pharmacopuncture solution was medicated in the left eye of the rabbits, there wasn't physical problem at 9 rabbits. 2. After Fel Ursi pharmacopuncture solution was medicated in the left eye of the rabbits, there wasn't eye irritation of the cornea, iris, conjunctiva at 1, 2, 3, 4 & 7day. Conclusions: I suggested that Fel Ursi pharmacopuncture solution didn't induced eye irritation in rabbits.

We observed and treated a 19 year-old female who had atopic dermatitis. Even though she had been treated with western medicine, she still complained of severe itching, erythema, lichenification, scaling, dryness, oozing and insomnia especially on her face and neck. We treated her with Sasang Constitutional Therapies(Kupoong-san, Teumchoui-tang, Kalkunsungki-tang), apcupuncture, herbal irrigation and moisture emulsion. Having been treated for 24 days in hospital admitted, her symptoms were reduced and changed from severe to mild grade in SCORAD(SCORing Atopic Dermatitis)

East Asian traditional medicine(Asian medicine) should be understood correctly on the basis of Asian medical network. For the correct understanding we analyzed Asian medical history which could be divided into three categories based on Dong-Eui-Bo-Gam. There are three mechanisms of human diseases, which are the pathogenesis of six external etiological factors(wind, cold, summer-heat, dampness, dryness and fire) due to affection by exopathogen [外感六氣], the pathogenesis of five viscera due to internal injury [內傷五藏], and the pathogenesis of physical constitution due to vital activity [生命體質]. While Chinese medicine has mainly developed the pathogenesis of the former two, Korean traditional medicine has mainly developed the pathogenesis of physical constitution.

The skin is related the lung as follows ; 1. The lung control skin and give a nutrition to skin. The skin and hair 'hab' (合) the lung. 2. As a damage of lung is a damage of skin, skin and hair 'chi-lag' (聚落) 3. A defensive energy of lung give a nutrition to skin, and strengthen the body surface. 4. Dryness damage the lung, and so damage the skin. According to the above findings, we know the body surface are closely related to the lung functionally.
