언더필을 고려한 Sn-1.0Ag-0.5Cu 조성의 솔더볼을 갖는 플립칩에서의 보드레벨 낙하 및 진동해석 (Board Level Drop Simulations and Modal Analysis in the Flip Chips with Solder Balls of Sn-1.0Ag-0.5Cu Considering Underfill)

  • Drop simulations of the board level in the flip chips with solder joints have been highlighted for years, recently. Also, through the study on the life prediction of thermal fatigue in the flip chips considering underfill, its importance has been issued greatly. In this paper, dynamic analysis using the implicit method in the Finite Element Analysis (FEA) is carried out to assess the factors effecting on flip chips considering underfill. The design parameters are size and thickness of chip, and size, pitch and array of solder ball with composition of Sn1.0Ag0.5Cu. The board systems by JEDEC standard is modeled with various design parameter combinations, and through these simulations, maximum yield stress and strain at each chip are shown at the solder balls. Modal analysis is simulated to find out the relation between drop impact and vibration of the board system.

  • An experimental study on the refrigerant-side pressure drop of slit fin-tube heat exchanger has been carried out. A comparison was made between the predictions of previously proposed empirical correlations and experimental data for the pressure drop on design conditions of condenser in micro-fin tube for R22 and its alternatives, R407C (R32/125/134a, 23/25/52 wt.%) and R410A (R32/125, 50/50 wt.%). Experiments were carried out under the conditions of inlet refrigerant temperature of 6$0^{\circ}C$ and mass fluxes varying from 150 to 250 kg/$m^2$s for R22, R407C and R410A. The inlet air conditions are dry bulb temperature of 35$^{\circ}C$, relative humidity of 40% and air velocity varying from 0.68 to 1.43 m/s. Experiments show that pressure drop for R410A and R407C were 17.8∼20.2% and 5∼6.8% lower than those of R22 respectively for the degree of subcooling of 5$^{\circ}C$. For the mass fluxes of 200∼250 kg/$m^2$s, the deviation between the experimental and predicted values for the pressure drop was less than $\pm$20% for R22, R407C and R410A.

선박 내 유선망에서 차등화 서비스 지원을 위한 패킷 폐기 기술 (Packet Drop Technique for Differentiated Services in Wired Ship Area Networks)

  • 선내 유선 네트워크에서는 선내의 각종 센서와 제어기를 자율적으로 구성관리하고 원격제어를 제공하는 기능을 수행한다. 이러한 선박 내 유선 통신망에서 차등화서비스가 지원된다면, 우선순위가 높은 실시간 플로우는 최소전송률을 보장 받고 빠르게 전송되어, 지능적인 선박 통신망을 구현할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 선박 내 유선 네트워크에서 차등화 서비스를 지원하기 위해, 기존 RIO (RED In and Out) 방식보다 우수한 패킷 폐기 기술을 제안한다. 제안한 패킷 폐기기술은 개별 플로우별로 관리하지 않고 특정한 기준에 따라 몇 개의 플로우 그룹으로 나누어, 그룹별 관리를 통해서 동일 클래스 내 플로우 간 공평성을 제공한다. 시뮬레이션 결과에서는 RIO 방식보다 링크 이용률은 조금 감소하나, 다중 병목 구간을 경유하는 플로우들이 RIO 방식보다 더 많은 전송률을 보장 받음을 알 수 있다.

  • An experimental study was carried out to make clear heat transfer characteristics in flow boiling of binary mixtures of refrigerants R134a and R123 in a uniformly heated horizontal tube. Experiments were run at a pressure of 0.6 MPa both for pure fluids and mixtures in the ranges of heat flux $10{\sim}50{kW/m}^2$, vapor quality 0~100% and mass flux 150-600 $kg/m^2s$. Heat transfer coefficients of mixtures were reduced compared to the interpolated values between pure fluids both in the low quality region where the nucleate boiling is dominant and in the high quality region where the convective evaporation is dominant. Total pressure drop during two-phase flow boiling in a horizontal tube consists of the sum of two components, that is, the frictional pressure drop and pressure drop due to acceleration. The frictional pressure drop is the most difficult component to predict, and makes the most important contribution to the total pressure drop. On the other hand, the acceleration pressure drop resulting from the variation of the momentum flux caused by phase change is generally small as compared to the frictional pressure drop. There is no significant difference in measured pressure drop between mixtures and pure fluids. The correlation of Martinelli and Nelson predicted most of the present data both for pure and mixed refrigerants within 30%.

나선형 파형강관에서의 유동특성 및 압력강하 예측 (Prediction of Flow Behavior and Pressure Drop of Spirally Corrugated Steel Pipe)

  • Numerical investigation has been conducted to figure out flow behavior and pressure drop characteristics of spirally corrugated steel pipe which is widely used in civil, industrial and agricultural field owing to many advantages such as good corrosion resistance and durability, strength, easy and quick installation. Also the poly-ethylene coating spirally corrugated steel pipe has the long life under condition of sea water immerged. In the present study, flow behavior in the spirally corrugated pipe and influence of P/d/sub h/(ratio of wave pitch to hydraulic diameter) to pressure drop are investigated by CFD with various Reynolds number. And also friction factor is estimated by pressure drop obtained by flow analysis. According to computation results, the flow runs spirally up and down along the spiral corrugation in the vicinity of wall, but the effect of spiral corrugation disappears in core region of pipe. As P/d/sub h/ becomes small, more pressure drop occurs in spirally corrugated Pipe. Besides, friction factor augmentation becomes much larger as Re increases. In case of p/d/sub h/=0.38, Pressure drop and friction factor of spirally corrugated pipe are about four times larger than smooth pipe at Re: 1.46×10/sup 6/.

  • Experimental study has been carried out on the characteristics of pressure drop and heat transfer of brazed plate heat exchangers using R-22. Data are presented for the following range of variables: the mass flux (40∼90kg/$m^2$s), chevron angle ($20^{\circ}$, $35^{\circ}$, $45^{\circ}$) and inlet pressure of the refrigerant (1.4 and 1.6MPa). For both subcooled and two-phase flow, as chevron angle increases, pressure drop and heat transfer coefficient decrease. Condensation heat transfer coefficient and pressure drop were compared with the previously proposed correlations. Among therm, Traviss correlation agreed with experimental results within -40%∼-84% for heat transfer coefficient and -59%∼62% for pressure drop.

  • 본 논문에서는 Push-Pull 패스 트랜지스터 구조로 인하여 향상된 Load Transient 특성을 향상시킨 LDO(Low Drop-Out)를 제안하였다. LDO 레귤레이터 내부의 오차증폭기의 출력단과 패스 트랜지스터의 게이트단 사이에 제안된 Push-Pull 회로와 출력단에 Push-Pull 회로를 추가하여 전압 라인에 들어오는 Overshoot, Undershoot를 개선시켜 기존의 LDO 레귤레이터보다 개선된 Load Transient 특성의 델타 피크 전압 값을 갖는다. 제안하는 회로는 Cadence의 Virtuoso, Spectre 시뮬레이션을 이용하여 삼성 0.13um 공정에서 특성을 분석하였다.

  • To investigate an in-pile behavior of the newly developed DUO fuel pellet, the irradiation test will be carried out in the domestic test reactor. Irradiation test capsule for the HANARO reactor, which is a specially designed equipment used for material, irradiation and creep test, must satisfy the operational requirement on the hydraulic characteristics and structural integrity. In this study, a pressure drop, a flow-induced vibration and a short-term endurance test for the newly developed non-instrumented test capsule were carried out using FIVPET as a out-pile evaluation test. The test results show that the new test rig satisfy the HANARO operational requirement with sufficient margin.

잎담배 및 제품담배의 재떨어짐에 관한 연구 (Ash Drop Measuring on Tobacco Leaf Grades and Brand Cigarettes)

  • In this study, we have investigated the natural and puffing combustibility of cigarette brands and the compulsory ash-drop, and analysed factors related to the materials. Cigarette combustibility was greatly affected by the tobacco weight in cigarettes rod. Combustion rate of 4AOR cigarette made by flue-cured tobacco was 5.02 $^{mm}/_{min}\;and\;10\%$ faster than 1BO cigarette. Combustion pattern has interrelation with sugars, chlorine and ash contents among tobacco components. Combustion rate of 4DL, flue-cured tobacco was 55 seconds faster than 1CL tobacco extremely much in sugars contents, and ash drop was maintained at $21\%$ longer. Combustion time and burning rate were fast in cigarette made by expanded tobacco slice and tobacco stem and the formation of ash was poor. The length of puffed ash drop of expanded tobacco slice and tobacco stem were 18.6 mm and 25.2 mm and these forced ash drop length were 3.8 mm and 4.9 mm respectively. Puffed burning rate of general cigarette was $14.3\%$ faster than static burning rate and super slim type cigarettes was $21.3\%$ faster. Combustion rate and ash drop of domestic and foreign cigarette brands were quite different depending on tar level and cigarette types. The lower tar level, the faster combustion rate and the shorter ash drop.

  • Muffler design in the exhaust system is critical to provide for low noise in shipboard spaces. In an attempt to effectively design the low noise muffler, it is important to evaluate the performance of the muffler considering not only the noise, but also pressure drop as well. For this purpose, a test system of large exhaust muffler for ship propulsion systems was designed based on ISO 7235. The substitution test for determining both the insertion loss and pressure drop of mufflers was carried out. A ship exhaust muffler is considered as a test example and the insertion loss and pressure drop are obtained.
