Recently, drones have been used in various field to overcome time and space limitations. However, single drone still has a lot of restriction on transportation wight and travel time. Therefore many studies have been conducted to increase the utilization by swarm of drones. Many things should be additionally considered in order to operate swarming drones securely. Especially the group key management is a challenging research topic in tactical domain due to existence of adversary that has anti-drone skill. In this paper, we proposed an efficient group key management scheme for tactical swarming drone networks where an adversary equipped with anti-drone skills exists. The group key can be updated with a small number of message exchange compared to other convenience schemes. The numerical and simulation results demonstrate that the proposed scheme manages the group key efficiently and securely.
Recently, as the use of drones for military purposes is increasing, such as the Russia-Ukraine War, North Korea's reconnaissance against South Korea, and Army Tiger 4.0's dronebot system, anti-drone technology is developing a lot in each country. However, traditional anti-drone technologies in the form of using conventional weapons or electronic warfare weapons have the disadvantage of being expensive, so anti-drone technologies that can be performed at low cost are currently being newly researched. Therfore, in response to these anti-drone technologies, many efforts are being made to increase the survivability of our allies. In line with this trend, this study assumes a virtual anti-drone system applied with cyber domain and electronic warfare domain technologies that can be performed at low cost, rather than a technique using expensive conventional weapons or electronic warfare weapons among various anti-drone technologies. In response to this, we would like to present a plan to increase the survivability of friendly drones.

Recently, the technology of drones is developing remarkably. The role of military drones is so great that they can cause serious damage to the enemy's important strategic assets without any damage to our allies in all battlefield environments (land, sea, air). However, the battleship combat management system currently operated by the Korean Navy is vulnerable to defense because there is no customized defense system against drones. As drones continue to develop, they are bound to pose a major threat to navy in the future. This paper proposes a way for the warfare software of naval combat management system sets a combat mode suitable for anti-drone battle, evaluates the threat priority in order to preemptively respond to drone threats and eliminate drone threats through automatic allocation of self-ship-mounted weapons and sensors, and through a test of the improved warfare software in a simulated environment, it was proved that the time to respond to the drone was improved by 62%.

The progress in science and technology has widened the scope of the battlefield, leading to the emergence of cyber electronic warfare that exploits electromagnetic waves and networks. Drones have become more important due to advancements in battery technology and navigation systems. Nevertheless, tackling drone threats comes with its own set of difficulties. Radar plays a vital role in detecting drones, offering long-range capabilities and independence from weather conditions. However, the battlefield presents unique challenges like dealing with high levels of signal noise and ensuring the safety of the detection assets. This paper proposes various approaches to improve the operation of drone detection radar in cyber electronic warfare, with a focus on enhancing signal processing techniques, utilizing low probability of interception (LPI) radar, and implementing optimized deployment strategies.

The Ukraine-Russia war is a testing ground for High-Tech weapons and the first full-scale drone warfare. The Ukrainian military has been aggressively deploying a variety of reconnaissance and attack drones on the battlefield, and more recently, FPV drones, also known as racing drones, have been fitted with bombs as a game-changer in small-unit combat. To better understand these FPV drones, this article reviews their definition, aircraft components, and key characteristics, and draws implications from the Ukrainian military's FPV combat experience. In the future, the combination of artificial intelligence and swarming technology will make FPV drones even more lethal. Accordingly, the need to develop FPV drones suitable for the future operational environment on the Korean Peninsula is increasing, and follow-up research is needed to specify fighting methods and optimize related technologies.
The importance of combat drones has been highlighted through the recent outbreak of the Russia-Ukraine war. The combat drones play a significant role as a a game changer that alters the conventional wisdom of traditional warfare. Many pundits expect the role of combat swarm drones would be more crucial in the future warfare. In this regard, this paper aims to analyze the development of artificial intelligence-enabled combat swarm drones. To transform the human-operated swarm drones into fully autonomous weaponry system our suggestions are as follows. Developments of (1) AI algorithms for optimized swarm drone operations, (2) decentralized command and control system, (3) inter-drones' mission analysis and allocation technology, (4) enhanced drone communication security and (5) set up of ethical guideline for the autonomous system. Specifically, we suggest the development of AI algorithms for drone collision avoidance and moving target attacks. Also, in order to adjust rapidly changing military environment, decentralized command and control system and mission analysis allocation technology are necessary. Lastly, cutting-edging secure communication technology and concrete ethical guidelines are essential for future AI-enabled combat swarm drones.

In this paper, we proposed a hybrid type robot that simultaneously surveillance and reconnaissance on the ground and in the air. It was possible to expand the surveillance and reconnaissance range by expanding the surveillance and reconnaissance area of the ground robot and quickly moving to the hidden area through the drone. First, ground robots go to mission areas through drones and perform surveillance and reconnaissance missions for urban warfare or mountainous areas. Second, drones move ground robots quickly. It transmits surveillance and reconnaissance images of ground robots to the control system and performs reconnaissance missions at the same time. Finally, in order to secure the interoperability of these hybrid robots, basic performance and environmental performance were verified. The evaluation method was tested and verified based on the KS standards.

Currently, drones are used in various fields such as transportation, agriculture and military. Especially, drones for military use are developed and utilized in many ways such as reconnaissance and bombing to minimize one's own damages. Nevertheless, they are developed as new weapons of modern types, so it is difficult to use them together with existing weapons. In this study, a drone program for effective bombing of mortar, which is often used in modern warfare, is developed. In mortar, a forward soldier comprehends the location of enemy for its distance and altitude, input them in data computer of launching angle, and applies the result value to cannon to launch. However, the existing method has low accuracy of bombing because observing shall be done within 1km from the target, and measuring accurate direction and velocity of the wind is difficult. Whereas, in the program of this study, the location of target, GPS, direction and velocity of the wind, and altitude are measured through drone. Each digit is used to calculate bombing specification for optimal bombing through the calculating formula of launching angle. In addition, when specifications are input in the program, the calculation is done automatically, so that it can be used in various mortars and shells. With the use of the program in this study, the location of enemy can be comprehended, and bombing specifications can be calculated quickly. It also enables the intensity of the wind to be applied for accurate bombing.

In major wars of the 21st century, drones are expanding beyond surveillance and reconnaissance to include land and air as well as sea and underwater for purposes such as precision strikes, suicide attacks, and cognitive warfare. These drones will perform multi-domain operations, and to this end, they will continue to develop by improving the level of autonomy and strengthening scalability based on the High-Low Mix concept. Recently, drones have been used as a major means in major wars around the world, and there seems to be a good chance that they will evolve into game changers in the future. North Korea has also been making significant efforts to operate reconnaissance and attack drones for a long time. North Korea has recently continued to engage in provocations using drones, and its capabilities are gradually becoming more sophisticated. In addition, with the recent emergence of new strategic Drones, wartime and peacetime threats such as North Korea's use of these to secure surveillance, reconnaissance and early warning capabilities against South Korea and new types of provocations are expected to be strengthened. Through this study, we hope to provide implications by analyzing the capabilities of North Korea's strategic Drones, predicting their operation patterns, and conducting active follow-up research on the establishment of a comprehensive strategy, such as our military's drone deployment and counter-drone system solutions.

Although the SEAD(suppression to enemy air defenses) mission is a strategically important task in modern warfare, the high risk of direct exposure to enemy air defense assets forces to use of unmanned aerial vehicles. this paper proposes a path planning algorithm for SEAD mission for an unmanned aerial vehicle and a method for calculating the mission effectiveness on the planned path. Based on the RRT-based path planning algorithm, a low-altitude ingress/egress flight path that can consider the enemy's short-range air defense threat was generated. The Dubins path-based Intercept path planning technique was used to generate a path that is the shortest path while avoiding the enemy's short-range anti-aircraft threat as much as possible. The ingress/intercept/egress paths were connected in order. In addition, mission effectiveness consisting of fuel consumption, the survival probability, the time required to perform the mission, and the target destruction probability was calculated based on the generated path. The proposed techniques were verified through a scenario.
