Characteristics of Solenoid Actuated Hydrogen Injector (솔레노이드 구동 수소인젝터의 성능특성)

  • The solenoid actuated hydrogen injector and the capacitive peak-hold type driving circuit were designed and made, and the hydrogen supply system for in-cylinder injection was constructed with these. The performance of the injector was investigated through measuring the pintle lift profiles and the injection quantities, and the performance of the hydrogen supply system was confirmed through the experiments at the single cylinder engine. The injection quantity increased linearly as the duration of driving signal increased. At the single cylinder engine, the hydrogen injector was operated stably. The hydrogen flow rate of the injector with the peak-hold type driving circuit could be controlled precisely at high engine speed or low load condition only with the variation of signal duration.

  • In this paper, ultrasonic nozzle and driving circuit were manufactured and their electrical properties were investigated. Uitrasonic nozzle was fabricated using PSN-PMN-PZT ceramics showing excellent piezoelectric characteristics. In order to drive ultrasonic nozzle, PWM controller(KA3525A) was used. With increasing input voltage of nozzle, particle diameters of diesel were increased up tot 16V and then decreased. At the input voltage of 12V, volume particle diameter showed the minimum value of $37.3{\mu}m$ and also at the input voltage of 18V, volume particle diameter showed the maximum value of $51.3{\mu}m$.

  • Nowadays, Vacuum Circuit Breaker(VCB) is used in the most medium voltage level because vacuum has environment-friendly characteristics as well as excellent dielectric strength. In order to elevate the breaking performance, the improvement of vacuum interrupters and the driving mechanism should be proceeded. In this paper, the development of a Permanent Magnet Actuator could replace the mechanical spring mechanism which is the driving mechanism of existing VCB. The holding force and opening characteristics of magnetic actuator are analysed with FEM and the result is verified through experiment.

  • The main advantages of DSPSRM lie in the simple robust construction, low manufacturing cost and simple driving circuit. Especially, it is possible to make shortly the axial length of DSPSRM. therefore, it is suitable to setup this motor in a narrow space. For practical use, prototype of DSPSRM was already manufactured. In this paper, we explain driving method and design driving circuit of DSPSRM. And then speed, torque and efficiency are measured. As a result of measurement, the torque was constant at normal speed and the speed was linearly increased as the current increase. Therefore, we verify that DSPSRM is suitable for low-speed fan load.

  • In this paper, the Flexible information display was implemented uing AC powder electroluminescent device. ZnS:Cu and $BaTiO_3$ were used as a phosphor and dielectric respectively. The growth of phosphor and dielectric layer was performed with screen printing. The flexible information display in this paper was categorized as following; EL display, driving circuit, software for driving. EL spectrum and brightness was measured as the device properties.

  • The use of BLDC motor in Vehicle and industrial field, it is operated by continuous and intermittent driving. When the intermittent driving is occurred by the rise and fall of temperature repeatedly, it was represented by different characteristics in case of continuous driving. So, it is very important that heat source estimation according to the duty ratio. In this paper, temperature characteristics according to the operating method of BLDCM was calculated by using the thermal equivalent circuit, and the validity of the study was demonstrated as compared to the calculated and experimental results.

  • In this paper, an electromagnetic force driving actuator (EMFA) and three-link mechanism are proposed as a driving mechanism and connection device for low voltage air circuit breaker (ACB). As the result of dynamic characteristic analysis, the actuator and link mechanism are designed from the simulation and manufactured. The magneitc field of the EMFA is analyzed using the finite element method (FEM). The dynamic characteristic analysis with calculation of the circuit equation and kinetical equation is performed by the time difference method (TDM). Also, the result of the analysis is verified through the experiment of the fabrication model. In this paper, the EMFA size is smaller than the actuator for high voltage circuit breaker. Thus, the dynamic characteristic is analyzed with end-winding inductance that is calculated by the same method which is applied on the circle type end-winding of motors. The designed model for 1600 ampere-frame ACB and the three-link mechanism for connecting contact part with actuating part are manufactured. It is confirmed that the three-link mechanism is possible for improving the circuit breaker efficiency and reducing the size of the EMFA. It is proved that the improved 2-D analysis is more accurate than established method.

A Delta Modulation Method by Means of Pair Transistor Circuit (쌍트랜지스터 회로에 의한 정착변조방식)

  • A noble method of delta modulation by means of pair transistor circuit having negative resistance charcteristic is presented. An RC parallel circuit is inserted between two eiuitter tarminals of the pair transistor circuit, and their emitters are driven by a square pulsed current source. Basically this is a relaxation oscillator circuit. But when the value of capacitors and resistanc R, and the pulse height of driving source are properly chosen, the RC parallel circuit apparently functions as integrating circuit of driviving pulses. Compared with the integrated voltage of capacitor C, a signal input voltatage supplied in series with RC parallel circuit between two emitters makes on or off either of the pair transistors. as the result, one bit pulse is sent out from the coupling resistance terminal of conducted transistor. The circuit diagram used for this experiment is presented, it i% composed with simple mod ulster circuit, differential amplifier and pulse shaping amplifier, The characteristics of the components of this ciruit are discussed, and especially quantumized noise in this delta modulation system is discussed in order to improve the signal to noise ratio which has a close relation with circut constants, quantumized voltage, pulse height and width of driving current source.

A CMOS Voltage Driver for Voltage Down Converter (전압 강하 변환기용 CMOS 구동 회로)

  • A CMOS voltage driver circuit for voltage down converter is proposed. An adaptive biasing technique is used to enhance load regulation characteristics. The proposed driver circuit uses the NMOS transistor as a driving transistor, so it does not suffer from large Miller capacitances which is one of the problems with conventional PMOS driving transistor, and hence achieves good phase margin and stable frequency response. No additional complex circuit for frequency compensation such as compensation capacitor is required in this implementation. For the same current capability, the size of NMOS transistor in driver circuit is smaller than that of PMOS counterpart. So the smaller die area can be achieved. The circuits is implemented using a 0.8 ${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ CMOS process and has a die area of 150 ${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ x 360 ${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$. Proposed circuit has a quiescent power of 60 . In the current driving range from 100 $mutextrm{A}$ to 50 ㎃, load regulation of 5.6 ㎷ is measured.

  • A novel pixel circuit that uses only n-type low-temperature polycrystalline silicon (poly-Si) thin-film transistors (LTPS-TFTs) to compensate the threshold voltage variation of a OLED driving TFT is proposed. The proposed 6T1C pixel circuit consists of 5 switching TFTs, 1 OLED driving TFT and 1 capacitor. When the threshold voltage of driving TFT varies by ${\pm}0.33$ V, Smartspice simulation results show that the maximum error rate of OLED current is 7.05 % and the error rate of anode voltage of OLED is 0.07 % at Vdata = 5.75 V. Thus, the proposed 6T1C pixel circuit can realize uniform output current with high immunity to the threshold voltage variation of poly-Si TFT.
