In rapidly changing an information=oriented society, it is essential to control massive document information by electronic file. In relation to these electronic document, it is also important to keep and maintain all kinds of information without any losses. It should be allowed to trace previous contents as well as recently updated contents by controlling updated contents with version. For these, XML is recommendable. In this thesis, we intend to save the document storing space by saving only updated contents with version without saving whole documentation, when document is updated. In case of controlling the history of document update by version, we designed system so as to omit "JOIN operation" if document size is under a certainspecific size. Therefore, we implemented a new XML document repository system which is possible for quick search and efficient XML document saving by reducing perfomance deterioration caused by JOIN operation.

In various fields of information technology, it is growing up the needs about dynamic content management systems to store and manage SGML(Standard Generalized Markup language) documents in a database system. In this paper, we consider the issue of storing SGML documents that having complex hierarchical structure into a database system, and then propose a data model based on ODMG(Object Database Management Group) object model in order to store SGML documents without loss of information. Because the proposed data model reflects physical element structure and logical entity structure of SGML documents, it is able to store the SGML document in a database system at the system at the element- level granularity without any information loss. And also the proposed data model can be adapted among ODMG-compliant object database management systems. Finally, we will discuss on the implementation details of SGML repository system supports the functionality of automatic database schema creation for any DTD(Document Type Definition0, the functionality of storing the SGML document, the functionality of dynamic document assembly from stored database objects to SGML document, and the functionality of indexing and searching for database objects.

SGML(ISO 8879) has been proliferated to support various document styles and to transfer documents into different platforms. SGML documents have logical structure information in addition to contents. As SGML documents are widely used, there is an increasing need for database storage and retrieval system using the logical structure of documents. However. traditional search engines using document indexes cannot exploit the logical structure. In this Paper, we have developed an SGML document storage system, which is DTD-independent and store the document type and the document instance separately by using Grove which is the document model for DSSSL and HyTime. We have used the Object Store, an object-oriented DBMS, to store the structure information appropriately without any loss of structural information. Also, we have supported a index structure for search efficiency like the relational DBMS, and constructed an effective user interface which combines content-based search with structure-based search.

In restricted resources based on mobile environment, we can use an embedded database technology for management of MPEG-7 data. At this time, some XML clustering methods can be used. But, to improve the performance efficiency better, a new clustering method is need to store effective MPEG-7 document. In this paper, we have designed and implemented a MPEG-7 document management system to store MPEG-7 document effectively in mobile device such as PDA. The system used the 버클리 DB XML as a native embedded XML database system based on the clustering method of MPEG-7 data.

In construction projects, it is common to exchange documents using email because of convenience. In this study, a method extracting and organizing block information automatically based on email was developed. This method is composed of document exchange and archiving processes, which are difficult to manage and vulnerable to loss. Therefore, this study aims to develop a solution that can automatically link email and block information. The block data components are designed to derive from email exchange and user-additional input information. Also, automatically generating blocks process including extraction and conversion of information was proposed. This solution can lead to promote the convenience of project document management in terms of identifying the document flow and preventing loss of information.

CeDA (Certified e-Document Authority) was adopted in March 2005. It is possible to register/store/send/receive/transfer/revoke e-documents by using trusted third party, CeDA. It is important to store not only e-documents of users but also logs produced by CeDA. Thus all logs must be electronically signed using certificate of CeDA. But management of electronically signed logs is difficult. In this paper, the method which can be applicable to authenticate all logs of CeDA using "Hash Tree" is present.

The Request of the information exchange is increasing because of the advanced rapid science and technology. But a different system environment has occurred many problems on the information exchange. The information exchange on based XML is a solution to the problem. It takes effect in the standard document management application that is make standard document to cooperate with many researchers mutually. Can speak that DTD is meta data that define meaning of expressed data on XML document. Therefore, In case DTD information is damaged this information to base security of XML document dangerous. Not that attach digital signature on XML document at send-receive process of XML document in this research, proposed method to attach digital signature to DTD. As reading DTD file to end first, do parsing, and store abstracted element or attribute entitys in hash table. Read hash table and achieve message digest if parsing is ended. Compose and create digital signature with individual key after achievement. When sign digital, problem that create entirely other digest cost because do not examine about order that change at message digest process is happened. This solved by method to create DTD's digital signature using DOM that can embody tree structure for standard structure and document.

In this paper, we propose a Smart Adapted Service which can manage a schedule automatically. Smart Adapted Service gives a notice beforehand regarding information associated with the schedule, by searching the Internet. If the user has written down the name of goods or food which he wants to buy, Smart Adapted Service finds the most suitable store nearby him using the user's favorite list. The user's favorite list is created by Outlook Web Access System by analysing the schedule and habits of the user. User can access Smart Document System remotely through the Internet using Outlook Web Access System. We developed an Auto AP Roaming System for seamless communication and Smart Document System for arranging the information. We evaluated the system and verified that it is convenient to use and working well.

The value of XML as electronic documents is increasing nowadays. The XML document has properties of semistructured data. It can be modeled as object-oriented model which can be easily adapted by object-oriented database. For storing XML documents to conventional database system, extracting schema information from the DTD of a XML document has been studied for several years. In this paper we store XML documents into object-oriented database, which preserve the semantics of the documents. We can store and query by OQL and make applications by C++ and make applications by C++ binding which is the access method of object-oriented database. Therefore, existing database applications can be used without modification.
