In autobody assembly, thin-wall, tubular connections have been used for the frame structure. Recent interest in light materials, such as aluminum or magnesium alloys, has been rapidly growing for weight reduction and fuel efficiency. Due to higher thermal expansion coefficient, low stiffness/strength, and low softening temperature of aluminum and magnesium alloys, control of welding-induced distortion in these connections becomes a critical issue. In this study, the material sensitivity to welding distortion was investigated using a T-tubular connection of three types materials; low carbon steel (A500 Gr. A), aluminum alloy (5456-H116) and magnesium alloy (AZ91C-T6). An uncoupled thermal and mechanical finite element analysis scheme using the ABAQUS software program was developed to model and simulate the welding process, welding procedure and material behaviors. The predicted angular distortions were correlated to the cumulative plastic strains. A unique relationship between distortion and plastic strains exists for all three materials studied. The amount of distortion is proportional to the magnitude and distribution of the cumulative plastic strains in the weldment. The magnesium alloy has the highest distortion sensitivity, followed by the other two materials with the steel connection having the least distortion. Results from studies of thin-aluminum plates show that welding distortion can be minimized by reducing the cumulative plastic strains by preventing heat diffusion into the base metal using a strong heat sink placed directly beneath the weld. A rapid cooling method is recommended to reduce welding distortion of magnesium tubular connections.
The object of this study was to measure of the distortion of various dental waxes under condition simulating clinical usage. Eleven commercial product (table) including the inlay and baseplate waxes were tested, and compared in the study. Test specimens were prepared $5{\times}5{\times}65mm$. split brass mold. Placed this rod wax specimens and the brass wax distortion test mold into the water bath and tested the distortion values for waxes at $35^{\circ}C,\;40^{\cric}C,\;45^{\circ}C\;and\;50^{\circ}C$. Measured the distortion as the difference between the final (Df) and original (Do) distance between the ends of the specimen. Recorded Df, Do and Df-Do (Distortion) to the nearest 0.5mm. A minimum of five specimens were tested for each material. The following conclusions may be drawn from this study. 1) It can be seen that, a significant wax distortion was obtained with the temperature of forming the pattern, and the length of time and the temperature at which it was stored. 2) It was found that, when the storage time was increased, the wax distortion was correspondingly increased. At the sametime, the higher the storage time was employed, the distortion was obviously much greater. 3) It can be observed that the higher the temperature at which the wax was manipulated, the less was the resulting distortion upon storage.
In this paper, we designed and manufactured the distortion cancellation module which is able to compensate thermal-noise distortion by software The distortion cancellation algorithm not only bring forth system non-linear distortion by input level but also bring compensate component of distortion by thermal to get rid off distortion from now on. After TMS320C6711 DSP to recognize our algorithm, we manufactured the module for every kinds of system To evaluate efficiency of the distortion cancellation module, we designed and manufactured communication system. By measured result, if system output power is -3dBm equally, 12dB of ACLR has improved in 1MHz away from a center frequency, and also gain has increased up to 0.5dB.
The welding distortion of a hull structure in the shipbuilding industry is inevitable at each assembly stage. The geometric inaccuracy caused by welding distortion tends to preclude the introduction of automation and mechanization and requires additional man-hours for adjustment work during the following assembly stage. To overcome this problem, a distortion control method should be applied. For this purpose, it is necessary to develop an accurate prediction method that can explicitly account for the influence of various factors on the welding distortion. The validity of this prediction method must also be clarified through experiments. For the purpose of reducing the weld-induced bending deflection, this paper proposes the plastic counter-deforming method (PCDM), which uses line heating as the optimum distortion control method. The validity of this method was substantiated by a number of numerical simulations and actual measurements.

Stainless steel and titanium used for orthopedic prosthetic metal, magnetic resonance imaging was measured quantitatively the extent of distortion. Based on reading tests at varying metal magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) were investigated. To two image acquisition conditions for having three metal bodies mutually quantitative it compared analyzed the image of cross direction and the image of lengthwise. As for the distortion of the magnetic resonance image, as for the distortion of image it became small in the order of Clip, Strainless and Titanium. In addition, with T1WI and T2WI which are image acquisition condition T2WI the distortion of image became small. As for the distortion of the image by the metal, you could see the distortion of image in elliptical shape, the metal a bigger image distortion appeared in many parts. If clinical doctor has the condition of the same operation, use the Titanium material, it can, raising the diagnostic value of magnetic resonance image inspection after the operating from Stainless.

Angular distortion in welding process is decided by the various variables. We can make the prediction of welding distortion in similar reality by the analysis of data through many specimen tests. However it is difficult that prediction of welding distortion applies to the ship building. We can establish that angular distortion varies directly as the specimen size. And, it makes clear distortion's difference between constraint and unconstraint, according to the change of a plate thickness.
The welding distortion of a hull structure in the shipbuilding industry is inevitable at each assembly stage. The geometric inaccuracy caused by the distortion tends to preclude the introduction of automation and mechanization. Thus, additional man-hours are needed for the adjusting work in the assembly stage. To overcome this problem, a distortion control method should be applied. For this purpose, it is necessary to develop an accurate prediction method that can explicitly account for the influence of various factors on the welding distortion. In order to minimize the weld-induced residual deformation, this paper proposes the optimum welding sequence as a method for distortion control. The validity of this method has been substantiated by a number of numerical simulations and experiments.
