Boundary Element Anslysis of Multilayered System for Moving Loads (이동하중에 대한 다층반무한체의 동적경제요소 해석)

  • In this study, the boundary element analysis in dynamics for the multilayered semi-infinite plane is developed using the fundamental solution for moving loads. Also the indirect method and superposition method are introduced to consider the multilayered systems and moving loads. At each layer the fundamental solution can be obtained by solving the governing equation which is transformed by the Fourier transform. The governing equation can be solved by three conditions; continuity conditions of displacement and stress, the traction free condition at the surface and the radiation condition at the surface and the radiation condition at the infinite distance. To verify the solution and the developed algorithm, the theoretical solution for the homogeneous layer and commercial FEM program is compared with the results of this study.

Parallelism for Nested Loops with Simple Subscripts

  • In this paper, we propose improved loop splitting method for maximizing parallelism of single loops with non-constant dependence distances. By using the iteration and distance for the source of the first dependence, and by our defined theorems, we present generalized and optimal algorithms for single loops with non-uniform dependences (MPSL). By the extension of the MPSL method, we also apply to exploit parallelism from nested loops with simple subscripts, based on cycle shrinking and loop interchanging method. The algorithms generalize how to transform general single loops with non-uniform dependences as well as nested loops with simple subscripts into parallel loops.

A Priori Boundary Estimations for an Elliptic Operator

  • In this article, we consider a singular and a degenerate elliptic operators in a divergence form. The singularities exist on a part of boundary, and comparable to the logarithmic distance function or its inverse. If we assume that the operator can be treated in a pointwise sense than distribution sense, with this operator we obtain a priori Harnack continuity near the boundary. In the proof we transform the singular elliptic operator to uniformly bounded elliptic operator with unbounded first order terms. We study this type of estimations considering a De Giorgi conjecture. In his conjecture, he proposed a certain ellipticity condition to guarantee a continuity of a solution.

SLAM with Visually Salient Line Features in Indoor Hallway Environments (실내 복도 환경에서 선분 특징점을 이용한 비전 기반의 지도 작성 및 위치 인식)

  • This paper presents a simultaneous localization and mapping (SLAM) of an indoor hallway environment using Rao-Blackwellized particle filter (RBPF) along with a line segment as a landmark. Based on the fact that fluent line features can be extracted around the ceiling and side walls of hallway using vision sensor, a horizontal line segment is extracted from an edge image using Hough transform and is also tracked continuously by an optical flow method. A successive observation of a line segment gives initial state of the line in 3D space. For data association, registered feature and observed feature are matched in image space through a degree of overlap, an orientation of line, and a distance between two lines. Experiments show that a compact environmental map can be constructed with small number of horizontal line features in real-time.

  • In this paper, we propose an iris recognition system using Homogeneous Texture descriptor of MPEG-7 standard. The texture of iris is generally used in iris recognition system. We segment the pupil with Hough transform and the boundary of iris with it's gray level difference between the white of the eye. To extract Homogeneous Texture descriptor, this iris image is transformed into polar coordinates. The extracted descriptor is then compared with the reference in DB. If their distance is larger than threshold, they are recognized as different iris. Test results will show that Homogeneous Texture descriptor can be a good measure for iris recognition system.

  • In this paper, we propose an active shape image segmentation method for three-dimensional(3-D) medical images using a generation method of the 3-D shape model. The proposed method generates the shape model using a distance transform and a tetrahedron method for landmarking. After generating the 3-D model, we extend the training and segmentation processes of 2-D active shape model(ASM) and improve the searching process. The proposed method provides comparative results to 2-D ASM, region-based or contour-based methods. Experimental results demonstrate that this algorithm is effective for a semi-automatic segmentation method of 3-D medical images.

  • Three dimensional (3-D) object detection and pose estimation from a single view query image has been an important issue in various fields such as medical applications, robot vision, and manufacturing automation. However, most of the existing methods are not appropriate in a real time environment since object detection and pose estimation requires extensive information and computation. In this paper, we present a fast 3-D object detection and pose estimation scheme based on surrounding camera view-changed images of objects. Our scheme has two parts. First, we detect images similar to the query image from the database based on the shape feature, and calculate candidate poses. Second, we perform accurate pose estimation for the candidate poses using the scale invariant feature transform (SIFT) method. We earned out extensive experiments on our prototype system and achieved excellent performance, and we report some of the results.

  • 본 논문에서는 산업전반에 걸쳐 널리 사용되는 유도전동기의 고장상태를 검출하기 위해 DFT(Discreet Fourier Transform)와 LDA에 기반을 둔 진단 알고리즘을 제안하고자 한다. 실험에 의해 측정된 전류값을 DFT에 의해 시간공간에서 주파수 공간으로 변환한 후에 LDA기법을 이용하여 특징벡터를 산출한 후 거리 유사도에 의해 진단이 수행된다. 제안된 방법의 타당성을 보이기 위해 여섯 가지의 고장을 대상으로 다양한 조건하에서 실험한 결과 기존 방법에 비교하여 우수한 결과를 나타냈다.

  • In this paper, the effect of unobtainable channel frequency response (CFR) inside virtual subcarreiers on DFT-based channel estimation is derived and introduced numerically because the CFRs cause the leakage to the estimated channel and degrade the estimation performance. In addition, the performance of DFT-based channel estimation is analyzed with respect to the number of virtual subcarriers, pilot spacing and the number of unobtainable CFRs at equi-distance subcarriers inside virtual subcarriers.

  • 본 논문에서는 3D 디지털 영상 컨텐츠의 저작권 보호를 위해 DWT(Discrete Wavelet Transform)를 이용하여 강인성(robustness), 비가시성(invisibility), 보안성(security)을 만족하는 블라인드(Blind) 워터마킹 방법을 제안한다. 이 방법은 깊이 영상 기반 랜더링(DIBR, Depth Image Based Rendering)에 효과적으로 대처하기위해 고안된 알고리즘으로, 랜더링시 발생하는 왜곡에 영향이 적은 1-Level DWT LH 부대역에 워터마크를 삽입하는 방법이다. 이 방법에서 저작권에 대한 판단은 추출한 워터마크 정보를 통합 판단하는 방법을 사용한다. 이 방법은 저작권 보호를 위해 원본 영상을 보관할 필요가 없으며, 깊이 영상 기반 랜더링 baseline distance 5% 공격에 좌,우시점 영상 모두 효율적으로 적은 에러율을 보이며 워터마크로서 충분한 강인성을 보여준다.
