After a short review of the iterative optimal blank method, a new method of measuring the shape error for stamped parts with 3D contour lines, which is an essential component of the optimal blank design, is proposed. When the contour line of the target shape does not exist in a plane, but exists in 3D space, especially when the shape of the target contour line is very complicated as in the real automotive parts, then the measurement of the shape error is critical. In the current study, a method of shape error measurement based on the minimum distance is suggested as an evolution of the radius vector method. With the proposed method, the optimal blank shapes of real automotive parts were found and compared to the results of the radius vector method. From the current investigation the new method is found to resolve the issues with the radius vector method.
This paper proposed ultrasonic distance measurement module development for correct distance detection with collision escaping or obstacle of mobile robot is traveling self-regulation. Representative ultrasonic module applied in existing was Polaroid company's 6500 series and Devantech company's SRF04/SRF08 series. This ultrasonic sensors are corrupted by systematic errors due mainly to the dependency of sound speed upon surrounding conditions and random errors of uncertain origin. Therefore Ultrasonic distance detecting means of error compensation method and high definition, narrow beam angle, board area distance detecting means to apply to ultrasonic mobile robot control urgently need. In this paper use internal type temperature compensation method to improve problem of ultrasonic distance measurement method instead of that volume that have shortcoming of used correct temperature compensation methods applied big addition device. Compensate error by environment change of temperature. Humidity density etc. and is applicable to mobile robot offering various interface and real-time processing developed possible distance measurement module.
This article presents a modeling method for the uncorrelated measurement error of the ultra-short baseline (USBL) acoustic positioning system for aiding navigation of underwater vehicles. The Mahalanobis distance (MD) and principal component analysis are applied to decorrelate the errors of USBL measurements, which are correlated in the x- and y-directions and vary according to the relative direction and distance between a reference station and the underwater vehicles. The proposed method can decouple the radial-direction error and angular direction error from each USBL measurement, where the former and latter are independent and dependent, respectively, of the distance between the reference station and the vehicle. With the decorrelation of the USBL errors along the trajectory of the vehicles in every time step, the proposed method can reduce the threshold of the outlier decision level. To demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method, simulation studies were performed with motion data obtained from a field experiment involving an autonomous underwater vehicle and USBL signals generated numerically by matching the specifications of a specific USBL with the data of a global positioning system. The simulations indicated that the navigation system is more robust in rejecting outliers of the USBL measurements than conventional ones. In addition, it was shown that the erroneous estimation of the navigation system after a long USBL blackout can converge to the true states using the MD of the USBL measurements. The navigation systems using the uncorrelated error model of the USBL, therefore, can effectively eliminate USBL outliers without loss of uncontaminated signals.

The accidential errors of horizontal angles are influenced by sighting, reading and eccentric errors etc. This paper deals with the influence of eccentric error by the formula of theory and evaluation, and actually testing measurement. The results show that the eccentric error is calculated through the sighting distance, observed angle, eccentric distance and angle. And then, three repeating method is of practical use, and also, eccentric error is able to evaluate through the sighting distance and observed angle in according to performance of each instrument.

The radome boresight error degrades the microwave seeker ability and the missile guidance performance. It increases the miss distance, also. This paper propose a method of radome boresight error measurement and compensation. The compensation method consist of radome analysis and radome compensation. In the radome analysis stage, we can know that the electromagnetic characteristics distorted by radome. In the compensation stage, the look-up table is built and used for compensation. The test uses a FMS(Flight motion simulator) and adjusts the FMS setup error for more accuracy. The result shows that not using an elaborate radome measurement equipment, the radome boresight error is well compensated easily.

In this research, we propose a momentum measurement system using the accelerometer sensor, MCU, and Bluetooth to measure the exact momentum. The proposed system can figure out information for the real time travel distance. We performed various experiments, and analyzed the results using the proposed momentum measurement system. In the simulation experiments, we compared the reliability and accuracy for the existing momentum measurement systems from the analyzed results. The proposed system showed travel distance error of less than 8% as compared to the existing system with the error of approximately 13%. We expect that the proposed system apply to the commercial products.

Google provides mapping services using satellite imagery, this is widely used for the study. Since about 20 years ago, research and business using drones have been expanding. Pix4D is widely used to create 3D information models using drones. This study compared the distance error by comparing the result of the road construction site with the DSM data of Google Earth and Pix4 D. Through this, we tried to understand the reliability of the result of distance measurement in Google Earth. A DTM result of 3.08 cm/pixel was obtained as a result of matching with 49666 key points for each image. The length and altitude of Pix4D and Google Earth were measured and compared using the obtained PCD. As a result, the average error of the distance based on the data of Pix4D was measured to be 0.68 m, confirming that the error was relatively small. As a result of measuring the altitude of Google Earth and Pix4D and comparing them, it was confirmed that the maximum error was 83.214m, which was measured using satellite images, but the error was quite large and there was inaccuracy. Through this, it was confirmed that there are difficulties in analyzing and acquiring data at road construction sites using Google Earth, and the result was obtained that point cloud data using drones is necessary.
CSS(Chirp Spread Spectrum) technology adopt SDS-TWR algorithms of TOA(Time of Arrival) using velocity of specific medium and ToF(Time of Flight) to measure a distance, but this method always has a regular error on distance regardless of a real distance, as a result, in far distance, it decrease a error on distance relatively, but in near distance, it increase a error on distance relatively. in this paper, we propose and test new method measuring a distance more precisely in near distance using CSS and RSSI

A non-contact precision measurement system is a theodolite system, a laser tacker and a photogrammetry system etc. Nowadays, the system reaches to a limit of measurement accuracy required from industrial product of middle and large scale. The one of the solutions for this problem is to maximize the accuracy of the existing measurement system. According to it we performed the study far a measurement accuracy of theodolite system when the distance between two theodolites is changed 1m to 5m. We could blow that the changes of distance affect the measurement accuracy of theodolite system and that the maximum measurement accuracy is $\pm$ 0.02 mm on theodolite distance 3∼4 m.

IEEE 1588 PTP is a precision time protocol in which two systems synchronize without the aid of GPS by exchanging packets including transmission/reception time information. In the time synchronization process, the propagation delay time can be calculated and the distance between the two systems can be measured using this. In this paper, we proposed a method to improve the distance measurement precision less than the modulation symbol period using the timing error information extracted from the preamble of the received packet. Computer simulations show that the distance measurement precision is proportional to the length of the preamble PN sequence and the signal-to-noise ratio.
