PLC와 근접센서를 이용한 공압 실린더의 변위제어 (Displacement Control of Pneumatic Actuator Equipped with PLC and Proximity Sensors)

  • A pneumatic system was proposed to evaluate displacement accuracy of the pneumatic actuator without external load and to analyze capability of integration of the proposed valve system. The proposed pneumatic system consisted of a combination of pneumatic valves, two proximity sensors, and a programmable logic controller(PLC). The position controller is based on the PLC controller connected with the proximity sensors. Displacement accuracy of the pneumatic cylinder stroke was tested by varying air pressures of the supply and discharge-side and strokes of the pneumatic cylinder. The displacement accuracy of the pneumatic cylinder stroke increased as the supply and discharge side of air pressure increased at the stroke length of 133mm. Also the displacement accuracy increased as the stroke length increased with a fixed supply and discharge side of air pressure of the pneumatic cylinder as 3.5 and $4.5kg/cm^2$, respectively. The most accurate displacement of the pneumatic cylinder(i.e., standard deviation of 0.01 mm) was obtained at the supply and discharge side of air pressure of 4.0 and $5.0kg/cm^2$, respectively, and strokes of 170 and 190 mm among arbitrarily selected supply and discharge side air pressures and strokes.

  • High voltage plasma power supply was adopted to control polluted gases and an ozone generation. Bidirectional pulse power supply consisted of power semiconductor switch devices, a high voltage transformer, and a control board adapted switching method. Plasma power supply with sinusoidal bidirectional pulse, which has output voltage range of 0-20kV and output frequency range of 1kHz-20kHz, is realized. Using proposed system, pulsed high voltage/high frequency discharges were tested in a DBD(dielectric barrier discharge) reactor, and the spatial distribution of a glow discharge was observed. The system showed stable operational characteristics, even though the voltage and the frequency increased. Above features were verified by experiments.

일급수량 예측을 위한 인공지능모형 구축 (Implementation of Daily Water Supply Prediction System by Artificial Intelligence Models)

  • It is very important to forecast water supply for reasonal operation and management of water utilities. In this paper, water supply forecasting models using artificial intelligence are developed. Artificial intelligence models shows better results by using Temperature(t), water supply discharge (t-1) and water supply discharge (t-2), which are expressed by neural network(LMNNWS; Levenberg-Marquardt Neural Network for Water Supply, MDNNWS; MoDular Neural Network for Water Supply) and neuro fuzzy(ANASWS; Adaptive Neuro-Fuzzy Inference Systems for Water Supply). ANFISWS model which is applied for water supply forecasting shows stable application to the variable water supply data. As results, MDNNWS model shows the highest overall accuracy among proposed water supply forecasting models and the lowest estimation error with the order of ANFISWS, LMNNWS model.

  • For a R134a rotary vane compressor used for car air conditioners, characteristics of gas compression and oil supply have been studied. The compressor model under investigation has the low volume ratio of suction to discharge volumes so that there occur flow reversal from discharge port to compression chamber as the leading vane passes over the discharge port. As a result, the volumetric and adiabatic efficiencies turn out to be relatively low compared to other types of displacement compressors. Oil supply mechanism has been comprehended for mathematical modeling and oil flow rate has been calculated for the individual oil passages. This study on the gas compression and oil supply of a rotary vane compressor can be applied to a future design practice on a similar type of compressor.

A Protection Circuit for the Power Supply of a Gas Discharge Lamp

  • In order to drive gas discharge lamps, DC-AC converters with a LCC resonant tank, whose output voltage is adjusted by a variable frequency control are frequently used. However, when they are activated by varying the operating frequency, converters are frequently damaged by unstable operation, due to the rising and falling of the operating frequency near the resonant frequency. To solve this problem, a simple protection circuit for the power supply of a gas discharge lamp is proposed in this paper. This circuit senses the primary current of the main transformer. Using this protection circuit, the operating frequency of the lamp driving inverter system is kept close to and on the right side of the resonant frequency and the inverter is always operated in the ZVS condition. The resulting stable variable frequency operation allows various gas discharge lamps to be tested without the risk of damaging the main switches, because the protection circuit can protect the power MOSFETs of bridge converters from abnormal conditions. The validity and effectiveness of the proposed protection circuit are verified through the experimental results.

영산강 하구의 식물플랑크톤 군집 및 수 환경: 해수역의 주별 변동 (Phytoplankton Community and Surrounding Water Conditions in the Youngsan River Estuary: Weekly Variation in the Saltwater Zone)

  • In this study we conducted a weekly monitoring exercise at a fixed station in the saltwater zone during the dry season (Jan-Mar, 2013) and wet season (Jun-Aug, 2013) to understand the fluctuations in phytoplankton communities and environmental factors in the Youngsan River estuary altered by a dike constructed in the coastal area. Phytoplankton communities displayed seasonality; diatoms were dominant during the dry season whereas dinoflagellates were dominant during the wet season. T-test analysis showed that water temperature was significantly different between the seasons whereas freshwater discharge from the dike was not significantly different. This suggests that seasonal variations of phytoplankton are more likely affected by water temperature than freshwater discharge. However, a short-term fluctuation was also observed in response to freshwater discharge; freshwater species appeared during or after the discharge in the dry and wet seasons and blooms of harmful species developed after the discharge. Phytoplankton communities may be affected by changes in physical factors such as turbidity and salinity and nutrient supply resulting from freshwater discharge. Especially, the nutrient supply may directly contribute to the harmful algal blooms (HABs) composed of dinoflagellates which can adapt to low salinity after freshwater discharge.

  • AC plasma power supply is used to control a ozone generator and a air pollution gas. AC plasma power supply is composed of power semiconductor switch devices and control board adapted SHE(Selected Harmonic Elimination) PWM method. AC plasma power supply with sinusoidal VVVF(variable voltage and variable frequency) is realized. Its output voltage range is from 0 [V] to 20[kV] and output frequency range is from 8[kHz] to 20[kHz]. Using proposed system, AC high voltage and high frequency discharge is tested in the DBD(dieletric barrier discharge) reactor, and the space distribution of a its non-thermal plasma is observed. In spite of the increasement of voltage and frequency, the proposed system have a stable operation characteristics. It is verified by the experimental results.

  • Recently deep interests have been paid on the effective generation of ozone, which has been widely used for water treatment, deoderization, color removal and chemical processing of exhausted smoke. The silent discharge reaction has been proposed as the most effective in the many ozone generation methods by electric discharge, because silent discharge excel others in the condition of high ozone generation yield and low power consumption. In this paper, ozone water generated system measure with silent discharge characteristics and pulsed power supply.

MODSIM을 이용한 농업용 수리시설의 용수공급율 평가 - 금강권역을 중심으로 - (Assessment of the Potential Water Supply Rate of Agricultural Irrigation Facilities Using MODSIM - For Geum River Basin -)

  • 농업가뭄에 대한 대책 마련을 위해서는 가뭄기간 동안의 농업용 수리시설에 의한 용수공급 가능량의 파악이 매우 중요하다. 본 연구에서는 네트워크 물수지 모형인 MODSIM을 이용하여 농업용 수리시설을 고려한 물수지 네트워크를 구성하고 36개년(1967-2002) 동안의 물수지 분석을 수행하여 농업용수 공급측면의 가뭄을 평가하였다. 분석 결과, 과거 가뭄발생 기간에 농업용수 부족량이 다른 기간에 비해 많이 발생함을 확인할 수 있었으며, 대표적인 가뭄 년인 1994, 1995, 2001년의 부족량은 745.8백만 m$^3$, 661.1백만 m$^3$, 696.8백만 m$^3$으로 분석되었다. 또한 소유역 평균 용수공급 가능량은 생 공용수의 경우 99.1 %, 농업용수의 경우 84.4 %로 비교적 낮은 공급 가능율을 보였으며, 1994, 1995, 2001년의 농업용수공급 가능량은 74.8 %, 79.2 %, 77.9 %로 소유역 평균보다 낮은 수준으로 분석되었다. 농업용 수리시설물의 기여도 평가를 수행한 결과 양수장과 보의 기여율은 32.5 %, 집수암거와 관정의 기여율은 4.0 %로 분석되었으며, 집수암거와 관정은 양수장과 보에 비해서 상당히 적은 기여율을 갖지만 농업가뭄 해소에 어느 정도 도움을 주는 것으로 분석되었다.

무선전력전송의 송전 공진코일에서 발생하는 방전현상 연구 (Study on Discharge Phenomenon Occurring in Transmitting Resonance Coil of Wireless Power Transmission)

  • 본 논문에서는 4-코일 방식의 자기공진 무선전력전송 시스템을 구현하는 데 있어서, 송전 공진코일의 끝단에서 발생하는 선간 방전현상을 연구하였다. 자기공진 무선전력전송은 급전코일, 송전 공진코일, 수전 공진코일, 부하코일로 구성되어 있다. 여기서 송전 공진코일은 급전코일에서 발생한 자기장을 증폭하여 전방의 수전 공진코일로 전달하는 역할을 한다. 큰 전력을 전송하기 위하여 급전코일에 높은 전류를 흘려주면 송전 공진코일 끝단에 높은 전압이 유기되어 선간 방전현상이 일어나게 된다. 선간 방전현상은 송전기 케이스를 손상시키게 되고, 송전기를 사용할 수 없는 상태로 만든다. 따라서 이러한 선간 방전현상을 제거하기 위하여, 선간 방전을 일으키는 송전 공진코일에 유기되는 전압을 분석하고, 해결 방안을 제시하였다.
