AE-CORDIC: 각도 인코딩 기반 고속 CORDIC 구조 (AE-CORDIC: Angle Encoding based High Speed CORDIC Architecture)

  • AE-CORDIC은 CORDIC 연산의 회전 방향을 미리 계산하는 알고리즘을 이용해 CORDIC의 연산속도를 향상 시켜준다. 회전방향을 예측할 수 없는 부분은 Lookup-Table로 대체하고, 예측 가능 부분만을 CORDIC 으로 처리하였는데, 회전방향 예측은 별도의 추가 하드웨어 없이 간단하게 인코딩 할 수 있게 된다. 그리고, Unrolled CORDIC 구조에서는 Lookup-Table입력 비트 수가 크지 않으면 Lookup-Table의 하드웨어 증가보다 CORDIC 연산 단에서 감소되는 ADDER의 하드웨어가 더 크기 때문에 오히려 전체 하드웨어 크기가 줄어든다. 본 논문에서는 회전방향 예측 가능 구간 및 예측 방법을 제안하고, 최적화된 Lookup-Table의 크기를 결정하여 기존의 회전방향 예측 알고리즘인 P-CORDIC 과 비교하였다. 그리고, 입력 각이 16비트 경우를 삼성 0.18㎛ 공정을 이용해 논리 합성하여 하드웨어 크기, 성능, 정확성을 검증하였다.

Two-Faults Detection and Isolation Using Extended Parity Space Approach

  • This paper proposes a new FDI(Fault Detection and Isolation) method, which is called EPSA(Extended Parity Space Approach). This method is particularly suitable for fault detection and isolation of the system with one faulty sensor or two faulty sensors. In the system with two faulty sensors, the fault detection and isolation probability may be decreased when two faults are occurred between the sensors related to the large fault direction angle. Nonetheless, the previously suggested FDI methods to treat the two-faults problem do not consider the effect of the large fault direction angle. In order to solve this problem, this paper analyzes the effect of the large fault direction angle and proposes how to increase the fault detection and isolation probability. For the increase the detection probability, this paper additionally considers the fault type that is not detected because of the cancellation of the fault biases by the large fault direction angle. Also for the increase the isolation probability, this paper suggests the additional isolation procedure in case of two-faults. EPSA helps that the user can know the exact fault situation. The proposed FDI method is verified through Monte Carlo simulation.

골프 퍼팅 시 지면 경사도에 따른 운동학적 변인 분석 (Analysis of Kinematic Variables according to Ground Slope Angle during Golf Putting)

  • Objective: The purpose of this study was to analyze kinematic variables according to ground slope angle during golf putting. Method: 26 collegiate golfers (age: 22.54±2.15 kg, height: 174.64±6.07 cm, weight: 71.35±9.27 kg, handicap: 5.11±4.50) were participated, and 8 motion capture cameras (250 Hz), Nexus, and Kwon3DXP software were used to collect data. It was performed repeated measures ANOVA and Bonferroni adjustment. Alpha set at .05. Results: Body alignments were not significantly different at address. Putter head trajectory and loft angle were significantly different, and AP direction of acceleration of putter head was significantly different. However, ML and SI direction of acceleration of putter head were not significantly different. Conclusion: Therefore, it was identified that ground slope angle was affected the kinematic variables during putting, and it will be performed that correlation analysis between putting success rate and kinematic variables according to ground slope angle during golf putting.

장애물 위치에 따른 GPS 기준국 측위정확도 변화분석 (An Analysis of GPS Station Positioning Accuracy Variations According to Locations of Obstacles)

  • 이 연구에서는 GPS 기준국 주변에 존재하는 장애물의 방향과 고도각이 좌표 정확도 변화에 미치는 영향을 시뮬레이션을 통해 분석하고자 한다. 최적의 관측환경에 있는 기준국의 정밀좌표를 산출한 뒤 고도각 $10^{\circ}$부터 $70^{\circ}$까지의 장애물이 동, 서, 남 방향에 각각 존재한다고 가정하고 관측자료를 재구성하였다. 10일간의 관측자료를 이용하여 일단위와 시간단위로 각각 처리하였다. 일단위 처리결과에서는 RMSE가 10mm 내외였으나 시간단위 결과에서는 100mm 수준까지 증가하였다. 장애물의 고도각이 높아질수록 수평 및 수직방향 RMSE는 증가하였고 높이 추정값은 감소하였다. 방향에 따른 분석에서는 동쪽이나 서쪽에 장애물이 존재할 때 남북방향에 비해 동서방향으로 위치오차가 더 크게 증가하였고 남쪽 장애물인 경우에는 동서방향의 오차폭이 상대적으로 작게 나타났다.

A Design of Simple and Precision Direction Finder with a Combination of an Amplitude Measurement and Phase Measurement

  • This paper describes a design of simple and precision direction finder that can be adapted to shipboard or mobile vehicles used for Electronic support measure, ELINT and radio signal monitoring systems. The direction finding technology has improved with monolithic integrated circuit, linear array antennas, and interferometer. Interferometer uses the phase-comparison principle and has a good direction finding accuracy but it has an ambiguity problem. We suggest a simple ambiguity solver using phase-comparison technology with amplitude-comparison principle. The direction finding device that has been designed by the suggested method has 0.7 degree RMS error in azimuth angle and 0.6 degree RMS error in elevation angle in 0.5 - 2.0 GHz.

댄스스포츠 룸바 Forward Walk 시 숙련도에 따른 운동학적 특성 (Kinematic Character istics to Skill Degree during Dance Sports Rumba Forward Walk)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the kinematic difference between skilled and less skilled group for the forward walk at dance sports rumba. Six female players(skilled group: 3, less skilled group: 3) were participated as the subjects. To obtain the three-dimensional location coordinates in the joints and segments, it shot with 100Hz/s using 8 video cameras. Step length, shoulder rotation angle, orientation angle and angular velocity of pelvis were analyzed for each trail. The skilled group showed a bigger movement than the less skilled group at the shoulder rotation angle and ROM. The skilled group showed a bigger movement than the less skilled group at the up/down obliquity and internal/external rotation movement for pelvis. And the skilled group showed a bigger movement than the less skilled group at Maximum angle (down obliquity) of P2 and Maximum angle (up obliquity) of P3 to pelvis ROM. The skilled group showed a faster angular velocity than the less skilled group at P2 (+ direction, posterior) of anterior & posterior tilt, P2 & P3 (- direction, up) of up & down obliquity, and P2 (+ direction, external) of internal & external rotation.

건강한 노인과 뇌졸중 노인의 일어서기 동작 수행 시 운동학적 특성 연구 (Kinematic Analysis of Rising from a Chair in Healthy and Stroke Subjects)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the kinematic characteristics during rising from a chair. Six stroke patients and three healthy subjects participated in the study. Three dimensional kinematic analysis was used to get the duration, center of mass, and lower extremity angle. The stroke patients performed longer duration(0.28sec) than the healthy subjects in rising from a chair. The stroke subjects stayed longer time than the healthy subjects did in phase 2(From the initiation of knee extension to the reversal of trunk flexion to trunk extension)(t=-1.01, p=.04). The healthy subjects showed longer time than the stroke subjects in phase 3(from the reversal of trunk motion to extension to full standing position). The healthy subjects displayed larger value of center of mass in anterioposterior direction than stroke subjects(t=5.79, p=0.05). The center of mass in the mediolateral direction did not change during the completion of movement. However, the center of mass in the anterioposterior direction began to increase throughout the completion of movement. The center of mass in the vertical direction increased extensively in phase 3. The significant difference was not found in the maximum dorsiflexion in ankle, the initiation angle of knee, and the minimum angle of hip between stroke and healthy subjects. Even though statistical results did not show any significant angle difference in the lower extremity, the patterns of the change in the knee and hip angle during rising from a chair were different. The stroke subjects showed smaller angle of knee extension than the healthy subjects in phase 3. The stroke subjects flexed their trunk more than the healthy subjects in phase 2.

레이저 보조 가공을 위한 2-축 틸팅의 회전각에 대한 연구 (Study on Angle Calculation of Two-axis Manipulator for Laser Assisted Machining)

  • Laser Assisted Machining (LAM) was often used in process of difficulty-to-cut materials. In previous study, Laser assisted machining was a straight path processing using 1-axis manipulator in laser module. But 1-axis manipulator in laser module was able to process only straight path. So, in this study, laser module in laser assisted machining equipped to 2-axis manipulator. 2-axis manipulator has two motors. First motor is machining direction motor and second motor is Vertical Motor. Machining direction motor rotates in the direction of machining and vertical motor rotates vertical direction in the direction of machining. Machining path of laser assisted machining was considered diagonal path and curved path of laser heat source. This study calculated the 2-axis manipulator's rotation angle in diagonal path and curved path.

3D 위상 배열 안테나를 이용한 DoA 추정과 빔 형성시 각도 퍼짐에 의한 BER 성능 분석 (BER performance analysis by angle spreading effect in the DoA estimation and beam-forming using 3D phase array antenna)

  • 본 논문은 GPS 신호를 기반으로하여 3D 배열 안테나를 사용한 전파의 도래각 (DoA : Direction of Arrival)을 추정한 후 빔 형성시의 재머 신호의 각도 퍼짐에의한 성능 비교에 관한 것이다. 배열 안테나를 사용하여 도래각을 추정한 후 공간 필터링에의해 도래 방향으로 빔을 형성하고, 다른 방향으로는 널링시킴으로서 수신 신호의 강도와 품질을 개선할 수 있지만 이 과정에서 다중 재머 신호에의한 각도 퍼짐으로 열화되는 성능이 얻어진다. 논문에서는 열화되는 성능의 비교를 위해 5 가지의 3D 배열 안테나를 제안하였고 도래각 추정은 MUSIC 알고리즘을, 빔 형성은 LCMV 알고리즘을 이용하였다. 또한 도래되는 재머 신호의 방위각과 앙각을 변화시키면서 BPSK 모뎀을 적용할 때 비트 오율을 계산하여 성능 비교를 하였다. 시뮬레이션 결과 Curved (B) 7-Element 형 3D 배열 안테나가 다른 안테나보다 성능이 가장 우월함을 알 수 있었다.

ML-Based Angle-of-arrival Estimation of a Parametric Source

  • In angle of arrival estimation, the direction of a signal is usually assumed to be a point. If the direction of a signal is distributed due to some reasons in real surroundings, however, angle of arrival estimation techniques based on the point source assumption may result in poor performance. In this paper, we consider angle of arrival estimation when the signal sources are distributed. A parametric source model is proposed, and the estimation techniques based on the well-known maximum likelihood technique is considered under the model. In addition, Various statistical properties of the estimation errors were obtained.
