A silicon wafer is a highly customized product made to the individual order varying its electrical and physical characteristics. Therefore, it has distinctive supply chain structure that is different from highly standardized commodity product. For high-volume/high-standardization product, it is general that a main stream of information flow initiated by the production planning of the manufacturers is usually directed to push both ways in a supply chain: upstream to the suppliers and downstream to the customers. Contrastingly, for low-volume/high-customization product, the information flow triggered by the fluctuating customer demand usually propagates upward to the suppliers through the manufacturers. Furthermore, for R &D based hi-technology product like silicon wafer, the interactive information feedback mechanism between manufacturer and customer, which is essential to the new product development process, is to be embedded in the supply chain. This article is a case study of supply chain management system of LG Siltron, a major Korean silicon wafer manufacturer. The SCM system entails special information structure fitting well typical high-variety/high-customization product, and also gives application possibilities to the R&D based high-technology product made to the individual customer order.

Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is one of the most common malignancies, with a very poor prognosis. Despite significant improvements in diagnosis and treatment in recent years, the long-term therapeutic efficacy is poor, partially due to tumor metastasis, tecurrence, and resistance to chemo-or radio-therapy. Recently, it was found that a major feature of tumors is a combination of unrestrained cell proliferation and impaired apoptosis. There are now 8 recogized members of the IAP-family: NAIP, c-IAP1, c-IAP2, XIAP, Survivin, Bruce, Livin and ILP-2. There proteins all contribute to ingibition of apoptosis, and provide new potential avenues of cancer treatment. As a powerful tool to suppress gene expression in mammalian cells, RNAi species for inhibiting IAP genes cab be directed against cancers. This review will provide a brief introduction to recent developments of the application IAP-siRNA in tumor studies, with the aim of inspiring future treatment of HCC.

Caudal epiduroscopy has been introduced as an alternative technique for direct injection of epidural steroid and lysis of adhesion. Futher, it gives a better understanding of the role of epidural adhesion in recurrence of sciatica and low back disorder after surgery. We experienced a clinical application of flexible fiberoptic epiduroscope inserted through the sacral canal. A 37-year-old woman was suffering from right lumbar radiculopathy after an operation for a herniated disc. A series of volumetric caudal steroid injections and physical therapy had little effect on her symptoms. Patient was thought to be a good candidate for epiduroscopy. Flexible flberoptic epiduroscopy was as follows: 60 ml of normal saline irrigation and epidurogram, 40 mg of triamcinolone in 10m1 of normal saline was directed around right L5 nerve root. The following morning, patient reported reduced pain in her leg.

Objectives : This study was application problem-based learning(PBL) of performance oral health manage in dental hygiene education. and evaluate on learning effect - learning attitude, student assessment(good or bed). Methods : For this study, we sampled 31 dental hygiene students composed of PBL group, Dept of Dental Hygiene, A college. The period of this study was 1 semester(from september, 2008 to December, 2008). To identify the effect of PBL on learning attitudes, student assessment, we used a t-test and compared pre & post effects of PBL using a paired t-test and General Linear Model(GLM), McNemar test. Results : The results of this study that problem based learning(PBL) for dental hygiene students education was more effective in learning process and effect of PBL rather than direct instruction. students assessment results that problem based learning improves their medicine knowledge and communication. Conclusions : This study suggest that PBL contribute to enhancing learning attitudes, learning effect and solve the real problems through self-directed learning.

Problem posing activity of which a learner reinterprets an original problem via a new problem suggested, is a learning method which encourages an active participation and approves self-directed learning ability of the learner. Especially gifted students need to get used to a creative attitude to modify or reinterpret various mathematical materials found in everyday usual lives creatively in steady manner via such empirical experience beyond the question making level of the textbook. This paper verifies the possibility of lesson on question making strategy utilization for creativity development of gifted class, and analyzes various cases of students' trials to modify the rules of a board game called Rummikub in application of their own mathematics after learning What-If-Not strategy.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to (a) synthesize nursing education literature using a smartphone for Korean nursing college students based on Whittemore and Knafl's integrative five-step review method and to (b) evaluate the quality appraisal of each article using Gough's weight of evidence. Methods: Articles published in Korea were identified through electronic search engines and scholarly websites using a combination of three search terms, including nursing student, smartphone, and education. Scientific, peer-reviewed articles in nursing education for Korean college nursing students, written in Korean or in English, and published between January 2000 and May 2018 were included in this review. Thirteen papers met the inclusion criteria and had above average ratings in quality appraisals. Results: Three characteristics related to nursing education using a smartphone were derived: (a) as a familiar media, motivating learning and enabling self-directed learning, (b) for the purpose of education or evaluation utilizing the educational movie of application, and (c) the iterative exercise of smartphone usage reinforces student learning. Conclusion: Smartphone use is an effective tool for improving nursing knowledge and skills for nursing college students in nursing education. Future research is needed to standardize smartphone applications across schools for nursing education.

This study was designed to identify how teachers and students solve problems and communicate with each other during the course of study through application of PBL questions that can be utilized in math ratio and graph sections of the 6th-grade elementary school curriculum in class. Therefore we haved figure it out that through pbl class student acquired a propound knowledge in math and showed self-directed learning through various communication activities, and that they finally showed positive attitude and confidence in this subject.

The development of ecological communal is directed toward realizing a sustainable society. If life styles are to become less dependent on ecological resources and reduce externalities, same as Ecological communal, then a wide range of renewable energy technologies and energy saving measures are required. Up to now, the development of ecological communal has been actively initiated and still continues by some venture farmers whit a vision and strong will. These study results are definitely very conducive to spread ecological communal knowledge among the public.

Tong-il, the high-yielding rice variety bred on early 1970, effected a turning point in modern rice production in Korea. As rice production reached the highest record yield in 1978 with HYV, Korea achieved self-sufficiency in domestic supply of rice (or the first time in (her own) history, HYV required high input of fertilizers and pesticides for proving its yielding ability and needed new techniques such as early nursery-planting to prevent chilling damage. But, farm economy did not follow the successful achievement of rice production because of increased farming cost and inflation.'Tong-il variety has been replaced by new high-yielding Japonica varieties from 1980 when record-low-temperature during summer months had persisted. Also, the cooked rice of Tong-il variety did not agree with the appetite of Korean people. Though the hectarage of Tong-il rice did reduce, farmers applied the same high-input cultural techniques for new Japonica cultivars as did for Tong-il variety. Heavy application of nitrogen fertilizer contaminated surface and ground water with nitrate ions while phosphorous fertilizer was blamed for algae pollution. Frequent spray of pesticide and herbicide reduced significantly the biotic population in paddy ecosystems including insects and soil microorganisms. The new technologies of the 21st century must be directed to produce safe food, to save natural resources, and to preserve a clean environment for human welfare. We need low-input sustainable farming techniques to provide high-yielding crops and to preserve a healthy ecosystem.

When it comes to the value of modern education, teachers are required to perform the role of a helper to promote interaction between learners, the role of a manager to facilitate smooth learning, and the role of a guide who has expert knowledge in the learning contents. Therefore, this study investigated what kind of learner-centered teaching methods there are, which require teachers to perform the roles of helper, manager, and guide, and conducted a pedagogical research on coding education to explore class models for self-directed learning. Subsequently, a class model was proposed by applying the flipped learning and havruta learning to a coding class. In this study, the learner-centered education methods of flipped learning and havruta method were applied to constructing a coding class as a university general education course. The feature of this class is that it enables dynamic interaction between teachers and learners as well as active interaction between leaners in a classroom instruction. After applying the proposed method to the actual class and analyzing it, the students taught using suggested method were more positively assessed in learning interest than those taught using a traditional method. And that in academic achievement as well, suggested method was more effective.
