This study aims to verify whether field-dependence and field-independence cognitive style have regulatory effect or not on information quality and system quality of digital textbooks in learning satisfaction. In order to accomplish the purpose, the research was carried out with 325 students of digital textbook research school who are fifth and sixth grade at a primary school living in Seoul metropolitan city. Results from the verification of hypotheses are as follows: when learning satisfaction of digital textbooks is affected by information quality and system quality influence satisfaction, it is given a positive moderating effect by the variables of field-dependence and field-independence cognitive style.

According to the textbook utilization survey, university students buy 6.4 books and spend 94,000 won per semester. However, nearly half of books are left unused. Therefore many students buy used textbooks instead of buying new books at a fixed price. The existing used textbook trading platforms support basic functions, but don't support textbook recommendation function and reference book recommendation function. In this paper, we developed a used textbook trading platform BookCue that provides textbook recommendation function, reference book recommendation function, and consignment trading function reflecting the regional characteristics. It is expected that will contribute to reduce university students' burden that buying textbook by forming textbooks trading environment and preserve environment. In the near future our platform will need to expand to a platform that deals with a variety of goods, as well as used textbooks in the region.

The purpose of this study is to develop the eTextbook and to explore the usability of the eTextbook for accelerating mobile learning in university. This study was primarily based on needs analysis of students, and eTextbook was created based on digital publishing through Adobe DPS. The major design principles of the eTextbook based on previous studies were as follow. First, eTextbook should deliver learning contents in a simple and systematic way. Second, eTextbook should induce student's flows by providing segmented learning contents and various learning resources. Third, eTextbook should expand information accessibility by providing a wide variety of multimedia functions. The development principles of eTextbook have been developed based on cognitive psychology. Location and function of the link or icon used for eTextbook have been developed on the basis of the principles of cognitive psychology. The main development principles were Coherence, Signaling, Redundancy, Segmentation, Multimedia principle, and so on. In order to examine usability of the developed eTextbook, experts' and learners' reactions were evaluated. The primary responses of learners are that the eTextbook increased the learning accessibility and provided various multimedia factors, and thus increased the learning flows in the class.

One of the issues with the textbooks pertinent to the current study is whether or not the Universal Design for Learning (UDL) factors have been dealt to satisfy students with different aptitudes in learning the core objectives of the lessons. This study develops a modified version of the UDL analysis criteria from the cross curricular criteria to language teaching and learning and uses it to analyze the sequence of digital English textbooks to investigate the descriptive statistics of the UDL factors in the new textbooks. The result shows that the textbook is designed most favorably to the students with the talent of linguistic aptitude and less favorably to the students with other types of aptitudes. The sequence analysis shows that sentence/word length and appearance of new words are incrementally sequenced as students advance upper grades. However, the syntactic complexity of middle school curves up steeply which is different from the elementary school textbooks. The UDL analysis will provide learning factors to consider when designing digital English textbooks to cover different aptitudinal groups.

In this paper, we research into an effective operation environment of digital textbook according to the adaption of an electronic textbook and analyze the approval program and the authorization program of the paper textbook for the efficient utility of a digital textbook. We propose various criterions and methods of the approval and authorization program. Finally, we show the whole process of the proposed approval and authorization program. We hope that our study apply to the standard approval and authorization program of the Ministry of Education.

Recent technological advancements, along with an increase in mobile Internet access, have spurred on significant developments in the production of e-textbooks. This case study explored the affordances of an iPad e-textbook through teacher and student experiences in English lessons using observation and interviews. The results showed that English learners and teacher benefited from handy and quick web access and the all-in-one features of the e-textbook (dictionary, hyperlinks, and note-taking functions). However, information oversupply by the e-textbook confused students' learning and both students and teacher pointed out technical difficulties in using the e-textbook. In order to implement English pedagogy with technologies such as iPad e-textbooks, teachers should be equipped with the relevant technical skills and content knowledge in order to assist them in becoming autonomous learners in the digital classroom.

In the COVID-19 situation, digital textbooks have been used in many schools. In order for digital textbooks to become active even in the post COVID-19 era, the functions of digital textbooks must be improved. Digital textbooks are traditional book-type textbooks with glossaries, video materials, and evaluation questions added. Recently, they are being used usefully for practical education by providing realistic contents such as Augmented Reality, Virtual Reality, and 360 images. Therefore, in this study, in order to prepare for the post COVID-19, we found the functional problems of digital textbooks and suggested a way to improve them. First, the layout of digital textbooks should be developed as a responsive layout, deviating from the same form as a book-type textbook. Second, digital textbooks and learning management systems must be integrated. Third, by developing a digital textbook for teachers, teachers should be able to directly reorganize the contents or add external materials. Fourth, learning analysis should be possible using data recorded in digital textbooks. Fifth, in the 2022 revised curriculum, various subjects should be developed as digital textbooks.

This study was conducted to provide standards for the development of contents and systems for digital textbooks by examining the learners' satisfaction from digital textbooks, which are now being distributed to schools, in terms of ubiquitous learning, and by verifying the moderation effect of learners' computer self efficacy and digital textbook usage. SPSS win 13.0 was used for technical statistics, Cronbach's $\alpha$ coefficient calculation and correlation analysis for empirical analysis, and the MMR (moderated multiple regression) analysis was conducted for the hypothesis test. The following principal results were obtained from the hypothesis tests. First, the ubiquitous learning features had direct effects on the learning satisfaction from the digital textbooks. Second, when the ubiquitous learning features had positive effects on the learning satisfaction from digital textbooks, both the computer self efficacy and digital textbook usage reacted with the ubiquitous learning feature and showed moderation effects. These results were statistically significant.

In this study, a digital textbook was developed for effective career and vocational education of students with disabilities. The contents of developed digital textbook consisted of 'lesson 15: Sale(1)' of middle school career and vocational education of basic curriculum. It progresses six periods and each topic activities are composed of open learning, learning activity 1, learning activity 2, and organized learning in order. NamoPubTreeEditor Program was used to develop the text book in the study, digital textbooks were designed to be compatible with various devices including smartphone of android operating system, Tablet PC, the iOS system, iphone, ipad, etc. In addition, it was designed to offer a variety of learning materials such as sale multimedia materials, glossary, evaluation questions, and linked data related to sale, supported self-motivated learning. allowed students to evaluate their study for the learning of students with disabilities.

It is the concept of this paper to build up the convergence type of the total class service system, and the goal is to develop the education services, which are differentiated from existing digital textbooks and development tools. We establish developmental programs and convergence strategies from market analyses related to apps and digital education. Then this paper proposes 'E-Class Author Service System (ECA)' as an education service system based on the tablet PC. It is the convergence system of the app type of textbook development tool and class management system. Teachers can produce and develop class materials and textbooks using the app type of textbook development tool in ECA service system. They can also add necessary functions from the class management system for efficient class progress. ECA improves the interaction and communication between a teacher, student and parents in the sever-based network. This study expects that ECA will achieve prior occupation of the app market as an educational app development tool and reduce private education expenses.
