Speed Control of Induction Motor Systems by a Digital Redesign Method (디지털 재설계법에 의한 유도 전동기 시스템의 속도제어)

  • The paper presents a digital speed control approach of induction motor systems by using a digital redesign method and adopting a well known 2nd order model as the system model equation. The basic concept using the modeling equation is induced from the control theory stand point such that we can describe usually the motor system connected by inverter, generator and load etc. just as a mechanical system to be controlled. The concept does not demand us the complicated vector-based modeling equation adopted in the traditional methods for the speed control of induction motor. The effectiveness of the servo control system composed by the above mentioned design concept is illustrated by the experimental results in the presence of step reference change and generator load variation. It is observed from the experimental results that the steady state error of the experimental set up becomes zero after some regulation time and the induction motor system is robust in spite of reference signal change and load variation of generator.

  • This paper describes the ultra precise position estimation of a servomotor using a sinusoidal encoder based on Arcsine Interpolation Method for the cost reduction of circuit design. The amplitude and offset errors of the sinusoidal encoder output signals, from the encoder itself and analog signal processing procedures, are effectively compensated and on-line tuned by utilizing a low cost programmable differential amplifier without any special expensive equipment. For a theoretical evaluation of the practical resolution of this system, the relationship between the amplitude of ADC(Analog to Digital Converter) input signal errors and the anticipated resolution is also addressed. The performance of the proposed method is verified by comparing it with speed control characteristics of the servomotor driving system using a digital incremental 50,000ppr encoder in the experiments.

  • 광 디스크의 용량을 증가시기키 위해선, 레이저 다이오드의 단파장화와 렌즈의 개구수 증가가 수년 동안 시도되어왔다. 불행히도 이러한 노력들은 디스크 틸트(tilt)로 인해 야기되는 코마(coma) 수차로 인한 부작용을 유발하였다. 이런 문제를 해결하기 위해, 램(random access memory, RAM) 디스크의 경우 몇 가지 검출과 보상 방법이 제안되었다. 그러나, 롬(read only memory, ROM) 디스크의 경우 아직까지 뚜렷한 해결책이 제시되지 않고 있다. 본 논문에서는 8분할 광 검출기에 의해 생성되는 차동 위상 검출(differential phase detection, DPD) 신호를 이용한 고밀도 롬 디스크에서 래디얼(radial) 틸트를 검출하는 방법을 제안한다. 3축 렌즈 구동형 액츄에이터(actuator)를 이용하여 개발한 래디얼 틸트 서보로 검출된 래디얼 틸트를 보상한다. 액츄에이터의 회전이 트래킹(tracking) 서보(servo)에 미치는 영향을 소개한다. 끝으로 제안된 방법의 유용성을 고밀도 롬 드라이브에 대한 실험을 통해 검증한다.

  • In this study applied the general controller into th 16bit ordinary controller and recommand the simulator features the real system's propeties without DSP(Digital Signal Processing)-card. This simulator is designed to be synchronized in real time using A/D(Analog-Digital) convert and D/A(Digital-Analong) convert. In this study DSP card which is usually used for complex calculation is replaced with personal computer and designed to control, control-force using with the 16-bit micro processor.

  • Recently the development of motor speed control systems with both good dynamic performance and simple implementation has been required. The vector control scheme considering flux harmonics for the permanent-magnet AC servo motor having low inertia, low weight, and high efficiency is proposed. To reduce the torque harmonics, current harmonics is employed. The vector control strategy is verified through digital simulation.

  • A new control method for position control of D.C. servo motor based on the variable structure control is presented. The desired trajectory satisfying the given performance requirement is used as the sliding curve. And the control input forcing the system to follow the desired model system is applied. As a result the method is robust to disturbance. The performance of the proposed controller is compared with that of the conventional state feedback controller through digital computer simulation.

  • The position error in multi-axis machine tools are due to many elements, such as the static friction, servo lag, a nonlinear disturbance, the gain mismatch between multi-axis controllers. In the work, modeling for the plant was carried out through the velocity response by the step input signal. Digital PI controllers, LQ optimal controllers and feedforward controllers are designed for a high tracking performance based on the model. The results of experimentation showed that the controllers worked properly.

  • The water-hammer phenomena caused by pump power failure are analysed by digital computer. Asan cool ins water pipe system has been chosen as a model. It is Shown that after power failure the pressure at the pump outlet drops sharply, and to prevent reverse flow, either butterfly valve or check valve can be used. After the valve closure, pressure oscillates behind the valve. To weaken the pressure wave, it is recommended to install a servo-operated valve in a bypass Line around the pamp and the check valve.

  • This paper presents a study on the accuracy position Controller design for the Composite Smoke Bomb Rotational driving system using a BLDC servo motor. Function of Smoke Bomb is blind in the enermy's sight so that need to high response. The BLDC servo motor controller was designed with DSP(TMS320VC33), IGBT(Insulated Gate Bipolar. Transistor), IGBT gate driver and CPLD(EPM7128). This paper implements those control with vector control and MIN-MAX PWM. Vector control requires information about rotor positions, a resolver should be used to achieve that. The main controller is implemented with a TMS320VC33 high performance floating-point DSP(Digital Signal Process) and PWM Generator is embodied using EPM7128.

  • The dynamometers which had made in a long time ago could not control the input/output quantity of water minutely and was sensitive to a noise since it was controlled by an analog control method. Therefore, a fully digital controlled system was urgently required to be robust against various noises. In this paper, the new system which can control the amount of circulated water in dynamometer was developed. This system is consisted of an industrial digital type controller and a servo motor. The industrial PLC was used as a main controller for the developed system, and the actuator and servo motor were used to control the inlet and outlet valve independently. The torque signal of load cell was fed back to the main controller to regulate the diesel engines load. Generally, an input/output valve position of the old dynamometer was fixed with a proper situation for an engine output test and the torque was changed according to the time interval. However, the torque value for the dynamometer could not be constantly kept because of the variation of the input water flow and fluid characteristic. Therefore, the automatic control of an inlet and outlet valve should be performed to keep the constant torque. So, the PID control method was applied to solve this problem. Also, the development of a web-based remote control system was described in this paper. This software will give us the convenience of operation, the more efficient operations, and the reduced operator workload for operation of the dynamometer. The application results of the system have been verified at actual diesel engine field.
