  • The educational environment, where the change to blended learning and AI convergence education through non-face-to-face is accelerating, is based on the cultivation of digital literacy. This study attempted to verify the effectiveness of future competencies by creating a collaborative SW education program on the metaverse platform that emerged by supplementing the problems through non-face-to-face. Twenty programs on how to design and create software were organized for small-scale elementary classes in the metaverse. In order to verify the effectiveness 4C competency tool presented as future educational competency was selected, and homogeneity test for the experimental group and t-test were conducted. The results showed the SW education programs based on metaverse was effective in improving collaborative communication skills, confirming the possibility of SW education through blended learning.

  • This paper aimed to explore research trends for the conceptualization of IT humanities. Reflecting domestic and international references which focused on the possibility of the integration of digital technology and humanities, the authors examined the beginning, background, and relevant concepts of IT humanities to figure out the meaning and the research trends. In addition, using the search word "IT humanities," the authors analyzed network topics of the keywords retrieved from 1,566 KCI and 64 SCI journal articles published since 2001. The concept of IT humanities in the previous studies has tended to associate with competencies that allow considering various fields of IT based on the lens of humanities perspectives. The result of the topic modeling revealed four groups as fields to be integrated with IT humanities, methods of implementation, connections of literature or culture, and creations of IT humanities. Instead of instrumentalization or merger by one stance of IT or humanities, it is imperative to collaboratively work for the generation of a new viewpoint through mutual respect of disciplines.

  • The purpose of this study is to present a guide for the development of research data management education programs for researchers affiliated with domestic universities and research institutions. In order to present the relevant program guide, first, we investigated and analyzed educational programs for overseas research data management. The educational programs studied and analyzed are RDMRose, RDMLA, DataONE, Digital Research Alliance of Canada, NNLM, PARTHENOS and Coursera. In addition, in order to confirm the appropriateness of the education program, it was reviewed through the detailed competency of data literacy researched in Korea. As a result of the review, most of the detailed competencies for data literacy were satisfied. Finally, a program guide for researchers was presented by synthesizing the research data management education programs that were investigated and analyzed. The results of this study will help develop research data management education programs that can systematically support and activate researchers belonging to universities and institutions.

  • The goal of this study was to examine the PCK required for science teachers and PCK required for university teacher educators in terms of school science knowledge, science teaching and learning, and the role of science educators, which are the main axes of science education in future schools, and to explore the relationship between them. This study is a follow-up to a previous stage of research that explored the prospects for changes in schools in the future (2040-2050) in terms of school knowledge, educational methods, and teacher roles. Based on in-depth interviews, qualitative and semantic network analyses were conducted to derive and compare the characteristics of PCK and PCK. As for the main research results, science teacher PCK in future schools should include expertise in organizing science classes centered on convergence topics, expertise in digital platforms and ICT use, and expertise in building a network of learning communities and resources, as part of the expertise of human teachers differentiated from AI. Teacher educators' PCK includes expertise in the research and development of T-L methods using AI, expertise in the knowledge construction process and practice, and expertise in developing preservice teachers' research competencies. Discussed in the conclusion is the change in teacher PCK and teacher educator PCK with changes in science knowledge, such as convergence-type knowledge and cognition-value integrated knowledge; and the need to emphasize values, attitudes, and ethical judgments for the coexistence of humans and non-humans as school science knowledge in the post-humanism future society.

  • In this study, we analyzed elementary school teachers' perception and method of establishing a new subject according to their computing competency. First, we developed a survey on the need to establish a new elementary school informatics. We also collected data from 166 elementary school teachers. As a result of the analysis, opinions differed on the establishment of information subjects depending on teachers' computing competencies. Teachers also showed differences in the characteristics of their subjects, number of class hours, and methods of organizing classes. As the results, we found that in order to establish a new information subject, a plan must be prepared to raise awareness and the need for informatics subjects among teachers who have low computing compency or no major in computer-related fields. We hope that many elementary school teachers will recognize the necessity and importance of establishing a new information subject.

  • The purpose of this study is to understand the public needs for AI education actively promoted and supported by the current government. In doing so, 11 metropolitan news articles and Twitter posts regarding AI education that have been posted from January 1, 2018 to December 31, 2019 were collected. Then, word frequency analysis using TF(Term Frequency) method and LDA(Latent Dirichlet Allocation) method of topic modeling analysis were conducted. The topics of the news articles turn out to be a macroscopic policy support such as 'training female manpower in the AI field' and 'curriculum reform of university and K-12', whereas the topics of twitter delineate more detailed social perception on future society, such as future competencies and pedagogical methods, including 'coexistence with intelligent robots', 'coding education', and 'humane education competence development'. The findings are expected to be used to suggest the implications for the composition and management of AI curriculum as well as the basic framework of human resources development in the future industry.

  • In Korea, the number of recalled products is steadily increasing annually, but the recall participation rate of consumers is very low. This study looked at recall competency as a necessary factor for active recall participation by consumers. And identify the components of the recall competency and identify the recall competence factors that influence recall experience. To this end, we examined the recall experience and recall capacity of 1,626 adult consumers in Korea. As a result, five factors of recall participation will, recall related skill, recall policy recognition, subjective knowledge and objective knowledge were derived. As a result of comparing recall competencies among recall experience and non-recall experience, there were statistically significant differences in all competency factors. Recall related skill and subjective knowledge competency were significant factors for recall experience. In order to improve the effectiveness of the recall system, it is important to improve the recall information and increase access to information retrieval in order to increase the recall participation rate by strengthening the recall capacity of consumers.

  • Recently, our society is seeing cultural value in a new light, perceiving it as an element that creates new values added. Reflecting this trend, the local governments in various levels focus on reviving the regional economies by enhancing cultural competencies and developing the culture and tourism industries. This research is conducted to perform the policy project 'administrative support plans to make Seongnam a hub of international culture and tourism,' which was proposed as part of the urban renewal strategy of the city. This study proposes the establishment of 'policy communities' to build the infrastructure for 'creative cultural content tourism' as a plan to accomplish the policy goal pursued by Seongnam. The focuses include what the policy communities are, how they work, and what the local government has to do with them for a successful implementation of proposed policies, by theoretically examining the composition variables of policy communities. In particular, the study concentrates on how to reconstruct the infrastructure for the culture content technology (CT) in the IT-based city and to transform itself into a city of "creative cultural content tourism". If the policy communities are formed under the proposed model in this paper, it is expected that they will become the viable alternatives in the field.
