광회선 다중화장치 원격감시시스템 구축 (Construction of the remote monitoring system for MX-13 digital multiplexer)

  • The MX-13 digital multiplexer for leased line is one of the main facilities, so it is periodically monitored by the operator. Operators connect dummy terminal to the MX-13 digital multiplexer manually, and execute preventing inspection. When alarms occurred, they are manually checked by the operator. But, in order to get mere efficiency of accident prevention and monitoring facilities with rapid response to the accident symptom, and to get higher reliability from the companies who lease communication lines, we need to construct this system which is adequate to monitor IvlX-13 digital multiplexer in almost real time. We construct remote monitoring system for MX-13 digital multiplxer to meet those requirement. After constructing the system, it's possible that the local operator can manage local monitoring system to check the status of MX-13 digital multiplexers. Also, Center operator can monitor the facility which has problems, and located in the specific local areas with the use of Center monitoring system.

  • 현재, 자동화 시스템을 위한 통신분야는 TCP/IP를 기반으로 하는 네트워크 기반 원격제어 부분과 시스템의 각 내부 장치들간의 통신을 위한 간단한 직렬통신으로 나뉠 수 있다. 네트워크의 비약적인 발전에도 불구하고 내부 제어를 위한 통신부분은 현재까지 간단한 RS232기반을 사용하고 있다. 또한, 시스템의 개발기법은 각 기능단위의 모듈러 프로그래밍 기법에서 객체지향 프로그램으로 발전하였으며, 현재는 소프트웨어의 부품단위인 컴포넌트 기반 개발기법으로 발전하였다. 이는, 비즈니스 로직을 포함하는 독립적인 운영단위를 조립하며 새로운 시스템의 개발로 이어지는 기법으로서 소프트웨어 개발기법의 새로운 대안으로 제시되고 있다. 따라서, 본 연구는 컴포넌트 기반의 개발 기법을 적용한 GUI기반의 RS232C에서의 내부통신 Emulate를 구현하였다. 이는, 수신부와 송신부로 나뉘어지는 통신 제어부분을 컴포넌트화 하였으며, 이를 합성함으로서 제어부에서는 송,수신 데이터의 핸들링을 담당하도록 하였다.

  • In this paper, we proposed a system for bit stream wireless communication using audio/video infrared transceiver and implemented a circuit. The proposed transmitter system converted bit stream into analog signal format that is similar to NTSC. Then the analog signal can be transmitted by infrared spatial coupler for A/V signals. And the receiver system recover the bit stream by inverse process of transmitter.

  • This paper describes the design of a force measurement and communication system for the force measuring system in industrial robots. The force measurement and communication system is composed of a multi-axis force sensor and a controller for measuring the forces (x-direction force, y-direction force and z-direction force) and sending the measured forces to the robot's controller (PLC: Programmable Logic Controller). In this paper, the force measurement and communication system was designed and fabricated by using a DSP (Digital Signal Processor). An environment test and a grinding and deburring test using an industrial robot with the force measurement and communication system with three-axis force sensor were carried out to characterize the system. The tests showed that the system could safely measure the forces from the three-axis force sensor and send the measured forces to the industrial robot's controller while the grinding and deburring test was performed. Thus, it is thought that the fabricated force measurement and communication system could be used for controlling the force for an industrial robot's grinding and deburring.

  • The proposed system in this paper utilizes the SIP and self-defined control protocol to provide global wireless communication over the data link of Orbcomm system. Main processor board connected to Orbcomm communication subscriber is designed to interface with digital I/O and AD/DA convertor for various application of control and .measurement. Hardware system implemented in this paper also includes the function of real-time clock and position report using GPS receiver The experimental result of the proposed global wireless communication system is evaluated via real-time experiments, and we have confirmed it works well according to the protocol designed in this paper.

  • 2D 게임에 등장하는 캐릭터의 비언어적 커뮤니케이션은 정확한 대사 전달과 캐릭터의 감정을 구체적으로 표현하기 위하여 중요한 역할을 담당한다. 이때 캐릭터에 의해 사용되는 비언어적 커뮤니케이션 행위는 많은 양의 대사와 결합되어 게임에서 표현된다. 본 연구에서는 2D 애니메이션에서 나타난 캐릭터의 비언어적 커뮤니케이션 행위의 유형을 분석하여 분류하였다. 다음으로 2D 게임 캐릭터 동작 제작을 위하여 Bone을 적용하여 캐릭터의 동작의 크기와 움직임을 설계하였다. 끝으로 캐릭터의 움직임을 시각화하였다. 이를 토대로 2D 게임 캐릭터의 감정표현을 위한 비언어적 커뮤니케이션 시스템 구축을 위한 기반을 제안하였다.

  • This paper presents observer-based on-line overload monitoring scheme for a PMSM(Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor) drive system. Proposed scheme is to monitor overload status of motor drive system at remote place. The drive system is previously installed on main system and has no communication function. Proposed scheme consists of intelligent sensing head and monitoring part. Intelligent sensing head acquire motor 3-Phase currents and transmit data to monitoring part over serial communication interface. Monitoring part estimates motor speed using state observer. By comparing estimated speed with reference speed, we can detect motor fault. In this scheme observed information must coded and transmitted over a digital communication channel with finite capacity. We consider communication constraint as time delay and we design discrete-time observer. The proposed scheme is tested on the actual drive system.

Comparative Navigation system for Experiencing 3D Digital Archives of Cultural Heritage

  • We have developed a method that enables a user to better understand and enjoy the contents of 3D digital archives, thereby enhancing the user's experience. The system's interactive interface, built using virtual reality technology, enables the user to "walk through" the archives, comparing two or the same content at different points in time. For example, a user can compare the proposed design for a building with the actual building and can compare the states of restoration of a cultural heritage site over time. This ability to perform multilateral comparisons enables the user to clarify the relationship between contents, the influence of one content on another, and the causal relationship between contents. Testing of a prototype system for a 3D digital archive of cultural heritage sites showed that it worked smoothly and that the users could easily operate the navigation system.

Performance of SDR-Based Digital-IF Channelization for Dual-Band DS-CDMA System in Wideband Multipath Channel

  • In this paper, we analyzed the performance of SDR-based dual-band CDMA system in wideband multipath channel employing RAKE receiver with MRC diversity. For the simulation of SDR-based dual-band CDMA system, we used digital IF techniques, polyphase analysis filter bank as channelizer. Also, Remez exchange algorithm is employed in the realization of the digital filter in the polyphase analysis filter bank. For performance analysis of dual-band CDMA system, we consider power loss of IF signal after passing through channel and the filter. Also, the performance for different sampling rates is analyzed.

FSK 통신 및 에러 정정을 통한 Intra-Body Communication (Electrostatic Coupling Intra-Body Communication Based on Frequency Shift Keying and Error Correction)

  • The IBC (Intra-Body Communication) benefits from a wireless communication system for exchanging various kinds of digital information through wearable electronic devices and sensors. The IBC using the human body as the transmission channel allows wireless communication without the transmitting radio frequency waves to the air. This paper discusses the results of experiments on electrostatic coupling IBC based on FSK (Frequency Shift Keying) and 1 bit error correction. We implemented FSK communication and 1 bit error correction algorithm using the MCU boards and aluminum tape electrodes. The transmitter modulates digital data using 50% duty square wave as carrier signal and transmits data through human body. The receiver performs ADC (Analog to Digital Conversion) on carrier signal from human body. In order to figure out the frequency of carrier signal from ADC results, we applied zero-crossing algorithm which is used to detect the edge characteristic in computer vision. Experiment results shows that digital data modulated as square wave can be successfully transmitted through human body by applying the proposed architecture of a 1ch GPIO as a transmitter and 1ch ADC for as a receiver. Also, this paper proposes 1 bit error correction technique for reliable IBC. This technique performs error correction by utilizing the feature that carrier signal has 50% duty ratio. When 1 bit error correction technique is applied, the byte error rate at receiver side is improved around 3.5% compared to that not applied.
