  • A remote data communication system for monitoring of NC machine fault diagnosis and status is developed. This system communicates with host PC by using dial-up communication method on PSTN. The developed system consists of (1)remote communication module among NC's and host PC using PSTN, (2) 8 channels analog data sensing module, (3) digital I/O module for control of NC machine, (4) communication module between NC machine and remote data communication system using RS-232c, and (5) Software man-machine interface. This system may be applied for remote sensing of the status in Fms. To show the veridity of the developed system, several examples are illustrated.

  • After the launch of smart phones, various miniaturized smart devices such as wearable and IOT devices have deeply embedded in human life, and have created a technology-oriented society. In this technology-oriented society, technology development itself is important, however it seems more important to utilize existing technology appropriately and deliver effectively to human life. As the computer became personalized after the appearance of PC, human-centered computing such as HCI and UCD had begun to appear. However, most of the researches focused on technology that made human being convenient to interact with computer such as computer systems design and UX development. In the technology-oriented society, it seems more urgent to apply existing technology to human life. In this paper, we propose a methodology, 'Digital Leveraging' which guides how to effectively apply technology to human life. Digital Leveraging is the way of convergence between technology and humanities.

  • As cable TV networks have a media feature that is a broadband wire network, they can provide not only TV broadcasting services but also communication services. Accordingly, the cable TV network is mentioned as the optimal network for convergence of broadcasting and communication services. Recently, Available frequencies of the cable TV network have become insufficient as enhancement of video quality, increment of VoD service, and growth of high-speed internet service. This paper presents a new implementation method of switched digital video (SDV) technology that is introduced for obtaining additional frequency band. In the SDV system, only TV channels requested from viewer are sent and non-requested channels are dropped. The presented SDV uses a sharing method of TV broadcasting and communication service in a same frequency band. This method shows increase of spectrum efficient from switching of TV service channels without building a complex system.

  • The Ministry of Maritime Affairs & Fisheries have plaining the advancing fishery information integrated system for the fishing present condition, marine resource administration and applicability considering. The fishery information communication system is build up to the raw data & process-network-content. The communication system must be small size, low cost and adapted SSB transceiver, that is using fishery shipping. In this paper We present digital data communication network to exchange information for fishery and safety between fishing ship and coast station in cheeper communication fee using SSB in HF band.

  • Secret communication has developed from analogue communication to digital one. Secret communication which is based on digital communication has been designed succeeding safety of one-time pad. One-time pad's safety is attributed to the security of secret key's mutual storage and mutual synchronization that is the key's interchange basis is one of the essential factors. This manuscript examines mathematical stability of BB84 algorithm which is one of the quantum cryptography system, and conducts transmission of quantum key. The created key suggests One-time Pad algorithm which interchanges ciphertext implemented AES's 64th round.

  • Various messages generated in vehicles are transmitted based on the wireless telecommunication which is a core technology of vehicle to everything (V2X). However, the hackers attack them upon penetration to the system and network to cause the generation of users' inconveniences for vehicular communication. Moreover, huge damage could be occurred in terms of physical and materialistic areas if the users in the vehicles were attacked in the communication environment. Therefore, this study was to design the safe communication protocol using hash tree technique in the V2X environments. Using hash tree technique, processes of issuing certificate and registration and communication protocol were designed, and safety analysis was performed on the attacking technique which is occurred in the existing vehicles. Approximately 62% of decrease in the capacity analysis was found upon comparative analysis of telecommunication processes with the system to issue the certificate which is used in the existing vehicles.

  • This study is about Augmentative and Alternative Communication as handicapped people actively pursue their life. Especially, although there are many ways and devices for communicating the same as a normal person, descriptive supplementation and sustaining studies are needed for perfect communication as a normal person. The purpose of the paper is to help handicapped people who have hardships about communication. This study develops the function of Smart Workflow AAC(Augmentative and Alternative Communication) and IR sensor_based context aware function that can offer services convenient to classified handicapped people for helping them to communicate effectively. This system from an experimental basis has improved efficiency to communicate more harmoniously within individual handicapped situations to schedule management and communication of handicapped people.

  • Simple signs were usually exchanged as the means of underwater communications. As people recently, need more informations for underwater activities, necessities of underwater communication systems exchanging hunman voice are increased. The purpose of this paper is understanding the ordinary characteristics of underwater communication and investigating the necessary conditions for a good underwater communication system by making a basic communication module. The experiment is achieved by applying AM (Amplitude Modulation) which is mainly used for the underwater communication systems and using common ultrasonic transducers. Ultrasonic transducers usually have narrow bandwidth for transducing electrical energy to mechanical energy. For improvement of sound reconstruction, transducers need more bandwidth which covers voice's frequency range, and goof linearity characteristics in this frequency range. As underwater transmissions have many factors to distort signals. Amplitude Modulation is not a proper way for underwater communications. Using digital signal by sampling human voice should be a good way for this systems, because digital communication simplify transmitting signals.

  • DECT(Digital Enhanced Cordless Telecommunications) is the communication protocol and the pico-cellular network that provides a PABX with mobile services on the local area within its cell radius of about 100 to 200m. Compared with GSM, DECT provides low-cost communication services based on the PSTN and it is an ideal supplementary method for the type of in-building mobile communication. In order to implement the data link communication layer of the DECT system, in this paper we analyzed and designed the structures and functions of it that provided reliable communication and real-time services to the upper network layer by performing the functions of link controls, error controls, sequence controls, and flow controls.

  • The underground utility tunnel is an urban infrastructure that accommodates and manages important facilities such as water and sewage, electricity, and communication in the city, and is a national facility that needs to be protected from disasters such as fire, earthquake, and flooding. In establishing a disaster safety life cycle management system such as prediction, prevention, preparedness, response, and recovery, a disaster safety management platform for underground utility tunnel is being developed by utilizing digital twin technology in which advanced ICT technology and data are converged. In this paper, the maturity model for the disaster safety digital twin was reviewed, and the datasets necessary for implementing the digital twin at each stage were defined.
