  • Five crystalline forms of cimetidine, four anhydrous and a monohydrate, have been prepared, and their thermal behavriours have been studied by differential thermal analysis and thermo-gravimetry. The dissolution rates of the five forms were determined in distilled water at $37^{\circ}C$. The results showed a significant difference in the dissolution rate. Polymorphic transformation occurred spontaneously during storage at room condition and was accelerated by applied energy during formulation process-milling.

  • Two crystal forms of ziprasidone have been isolated by recrystallization from different organic solvents and characterized by differential scanning calorimetry, powder X-ray diffractometry and thermogravimetric analysis. It was confirmed that Form 2 has the same crystal structure as Form 1.

  • Five polymorphic modifications of Cephradin were prepared by recrystallization from organic solvents. The isolated crystal forms were characterized by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) and X-ray crystallography powder diffractometry. Modificaition 1 was the most stable form and decomposed at $201.3^{\circ}C$. Modification 3 and 4 were metastable. The dissolution of modification 3 and 4 was faster than that of marketed form.

  • This paper deals with the free vibrations of horizontally curved beams supported by non-homogeneous elastic foundation. Taking into account the effects of rotatory inertia and shear deformation, differential equations governing the free vibrations of such beams are derived, in which the linear elastic foundation is considered as the non-homogeneous foundation. Differential equations are solved numerically to calculate natural frequencies. In numerical examples, the parabolic curved member is considered. The parametric studies are conducted and the lowest four frequency parameters are reported in tables and figures as the non-dimensional forms.

  • Given a complex submanifoldM of the projective space $\mathbb{P}$(T), the hyperplane system R on M characterizes the projective embedding of M into $\mathbb{P}$(T) in the following sense: for any two nondegenerate complex submanifolds $M{\subset}\mathbb{P}$(T) and $M^{\prime}{\subset}\mathbb{P}$(T'), there is a projective linear transformation that sends an open subset of M onto an open subset of M' if and only if (M,R) is locally equivalent to (M', R'). Se-ashi developed a theory for the differential invariants of these types of systems of linear differential equations. In particular, the theory applies to systems of linear differential equations that have symbols equivalent to the hyperplane systems on nondegenerate equivariant embeddings of compact Hermitian symmetric spaces. In this paper, we extend this result to hyperplane systems on nondegenerate equivariant embeddings of homogeneous spaces of the first kind.

  • In this study, Taylor matrix algorithm is designed for the approximate solution of linear and non-linear differential equation systems. The algorithm is essentially based on the expansion of the functions in differential equation systems to Taylor series and substituting the matrix forms of these expansions into the given equation systems. Using the Mathematica program, the matrix equations are solved and the unknown Taylor coefficients are found approximately. The presented numerical approach is discussed on samples from various linear and non-linear differential equation systems as well as stiff systems. The computational data are then compared with those of some earlier numerical or exact results. As a result, this comparison demonstrates that the proposed method is accurate and reliable.

  • The objective of this work was to investigate the existence of new crystal forms of tulobuterol which is used to prevent morning asthma attacks by ${\beta}_2$ agonist and the transformation of crystal forms. Three crystal forms of tulobuterol have been isolated by recrystallization and Form 2 was transformed to Form 4 at 52% RH and 95% RH and these four crystal forms are characterized by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), powder X-ray diffractometry (PXRD) and thermogravimetric analysis (TG). The DSC and PXRD patterns of four crystal forms of tulobuterol were different respectively. The dissolution patterns of these three crystal forms of tulobuterol were studied and they showed significant differences in the dissolution rate. After storage of 2 months at 0% RH (silica gel, $20^{\circ}C$), 52% RH (saturated solution of $Na_2Cr_2O_7{\cdot}2H_2O/20^{\circ}C$) and 95% RH (saturated solution of $Na_2HPO_4/20^{\circ}C$), Form 1 and Form 3 were not transformed. But Form 2 was transformed to Form 4 at 52% RH and 95% RH.

  • Border cells are differentiated cells which originate from meristematic cells in The root cap. Experimentally border cells can be released from the root cap by a physical treatment, for example dipping the root tip in the waters After 20-25 hours of release, the new border cell layer forms in the root cap. During the border cell differentiation, new gene expressions were observed in the root cap of pea which was determined by mRNA differential display These new gene expressions may be involved in the border cell differentiation Border cells had unique gene expressions which were determined by mRNA differential display, This suggests that border cells are differentiated cells which are different from the other tissues (ie., leaves, stems, roots or root caps).

  • Four crystal forms of cephradine were isolated by recrystallization and characterized by powder X-ray diffractometry, differential scanning calorimetry, and thermogravimetric analysis. The dissolution patterns of four crystal forms of cephradine were studied in water at $37{\pm}0.5^{\circ}C$, 90 rpm for 120 min. The amount dissolved at 120 min was highest for Form 1 ($100\%$), followed by Form 3 ($98.9\%$), Form 4 ($77.83\%$), and Form 2 ($75.55\%$). After storage for two months at $0\%$ RH (silica gel, $20^{\circ}C$), $52\%$ RH (saturated solution of $Na_{2}Cr_{2}O_{7}{\cdot}2H_{2}O/20^{\circ}C$), and $95\%$ RH (saturated solution of $Na_{2}HPO_{4}/20^{\circ}C$), none of the crystal forms showed transformation.
