베인 펌프용 유량 제어부의 전산설계에 관한 연구 (A Study on the computer aided design for flow control valve of vane pump)

  • The modeling and the numerical analysis are done so as to develop the Computer Aided Design program for the design of flow control valve attached to the vane pump. The factors affecting the flow rate characteristics, are analyzed by the experiments and the numerical methods. It is shown that the main factor affecting to the first control flow is the diameter of small rod of the spool, the main factor affecting to the second control flow is the diameter of big rod of the spool, the main factors affecting to the cut off are the main spring constant, the initial displacement of main spring and small diameter of the spool, and the dropping slope characteristics of flow rate are decided by the chamfer of spool and the dynamic characteristics of the spool.

  • The purpose of this study is to establish the optimal induction heating conditions of various preform types used for TR forging. The finite element model coupled electro-magnetic and transient heat transfer was employed to evaluate the distribution of temperature at the billet. Power control method was applied to control temperature of preform in induction heating because TR forging is not a continuous process. Power schedule that consists of heating and holding stage was suggested. In heating stage, power is inversely proportional to diameter of preform but the time of heating stage is directly proportional to the diameter of preform. But, in holding stage, the required power for thermal equilibrium per unit volume of the billet decreases with an increase in a diameter of billet due to the increase of efficiency.

대형급 무인잠수정의 심도 및 속도 제어 (Depth and Speed Control of Large Diameter Unmanned Underwater Vehicles)

  • This paper deals with the depth and speed controls of a class of nonlinear large diameter unmanned underwater vehicles (LDUUVs), while maintaining its attitude. The concerned control problem can be viewed as an asymptotic stabilization of the error model in terms of its desired depth, surge speed and attitude. To tackle its nonlinearities, the linear parameter varying (LPV) model is employed. Sufficient linear matrix inequality (LMI) conditions are provided for its asymptotic stabilization. A numerical simulation is provided to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed design methodology.

열처리를 통한 금 나노입자의 크기 제어와 일벽 탄소나노튜브의 합성 촉매로의 이용 (Size Control of Gold Nanoparticles by Heat Treatment and Its Use as a Catalyst for Single-Walled Carbon Nanotube Growth)

  • We demonstrated size control of Au nanoparticles by heat treatment and their use as a catalyst for single-walled carbon nanotube (SWNTs) growth with narrow size distribution. We used uniformly sized Au nanoparticles from commercial Au colloid, and intentionally decreased their size through heat treatment at 800 oC under atmospheric Ar ambient. ST-cut quartz wafers were used as growth substrates to achieve parallel alignment of the SWNTs and to investigate the size relationship between Au nanoparticles and SWNTs. After the SWNTs were grown via chemical vapor deposition using methane gas, it was found that a high degree of horizontal alignment can be obtained when the particle density is low enough to produce individual SWNTs. The diameter of the Au nanoparticles gradually decreased from 3.8 to 2.9 nm, and the mean diameter of the SWNTs also changed from 1.6 to 1.2 nm for without and 60 min heat treatment, respectively. Raman results reconfirmed that the prolonged heat treatment of nanoparticles yields thinner tubes with narrower size distribution. This work demonstrated that heat treatment can be a straightforward and reliable method to control the size of catalytic nanoparticles and SWNT diameter.

  • The automatic diameter control system of the Crystal Grower has a good performance with only PD control. But it contained the integrator the plant which has a long time delay. In this paper. we show the secondary approximate model and applies time delay controller which is good performance for in the long time delay plant. It will be able to improve the response characteristic against a standard input and a load disturbance.

  • Diameter controlled carbon nanotubes (CNTs) were grown using surface modified iron nano-particle catalysts with aminpropyltriethoxysilane (APS). Iron nano-particles were synthesized by thermal decomposition of iron pentacarbonyl-oleic acid complex. Subsequently, APS modification was done using the iron nano-particles synthesized. Agglomeration of the iron nano-particles during the CNT growth process was effectively prevented by the surface modification of nano-particles with the APS. APS plays as a linker material between Fe nano-particles and $SiO_2$ substrate resulting in blocking the migration of nano-particles. APS also formed siliceous material covering the iron nano-particles that prevented the agglomeration of iron nano-particles at the early stages of the CNT growth. Therefore we could obtain the diameter controlled CNTs by blocking agglomeration of the iron nano-particles.

  • 본 연구에서는 실제의 산업현장(MEMC Korea)에서 생산 공정에 투입되고 있는 단결정 실리콘 성장기 CZ-150 Crystal Grower의 직경을 자동으로 제어하는 시스템의 성능을 개선하기 위한 제어기를 설계하였다. 설계된 제어기의 설계파라미터들의 효용성을 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션을 통해 확인하고, 제안된 제어기가 항상 정상상태 오차가 존재하는 기존의 PD제어기보다 성능이 우수함을 보였다.

  • The PID controller have the simple structure and show the comparatively good control performance. Crystal Grower(FF-CZ150) melt polycrystalline silicon at the temperature of about 1450$^{\circ}C$, then grow it into a single crystalline ingot. The automatic diameter control system of the Crystal Grower has a good performance with only PD control. But it contain the integrator in the plant which has a long time delay. In this paper, we show the secondary approximate model and applies time delay controller which has good performance for the plant with long time delay. It will be able to improve the response characteristic against a standard input and a load disturbance.

Effects of Pelleted Sugarcane Tops on Voluntary Feed Intake, Digestibility and Rumen Fermentation in Beef Cattle

  • Four male crossbred beef steers about 2 years old were used in a 4$\{times}$4 Latin square design to investigate the effect of pelleted sugarcane tops on voluntary feed intake, rumen fermentation and digestibility of nutrients. Experimental treatments were; Control (dried-chopped sugarcane tops (DCST)); PS1 (Pelleted sugarcane tops at 1 cm of diameter); PS2 (Pelleted sugarcane tops at 2 cm of diameter) and PS3 (Pelleted sugarcane tops at 3 cm of diameter). Roughage intake and total dry matter intake were 1.59, 1.62, 1.61, 1.63% BW and 2.09, 2.12, 2.11 and 2.13% BW in control, PS1, PS2 and PS3 treatments, respectively (p<0.05). Digestibility of DM, OM and CP were similar in control and PS3 treatment but there was significant difference (p<0.05) between control and PS1, PS2 treatments. Digestibility of neutral detergent fiber (NDF) and acid detergent fiber (ADF) were 52.89, 50.01, 50.05 and 50.56% and 41.91, 39.96, 39.91 and 39.69% in control, PS1, PS2 and PS3, respectively (p<0.05). Total volatile fatty acids concentrations in rumen contents was 67.68, 65.93, 66.15 and 66.67 mM in control, PS1, PS2 and PS3, respectively (p<0.05). Even though, concentrations of acetate and butyrate (%) were significant different (p<0.05) but concentration of propionate (%) was not affected by treatments (p>0.05). Rumen pH, ammonia nitrogen and plasma urea nitrogen were significantly different (p<0.05) among treatments. From this experiment, it was found that dried-chopped sugarcane tops increased digestibility of nutrients whereas pelleted sugarcane tops increased feed intake in beef cattle. However, pelleted sugarcane tops at 3 cm of diameter did similar result in digestibility and rumen parameters with DCST. Therefore, it could be concluded that pelleting sugarcane top is an alternative way to improve the quality of sugarcane tops for use as ruminant roughage source.

Development of Diameter Growth Models by Thinning Intensity of Planted Quercus glauca Thunb. Stands

  • Background and objective: This study was conducted to develop diameter growth models for thinned Quercus glauca Thunb. (QGT) stands to inform production goals for treatment and provide the information necessary for the systematic management of this stands. Methods: This study was conducted on QGT stands, of which initial thinning was completed in 2013 to develop a treatment system. To analyze the tree growth and trait response for each thinning treatment, forestry surveys were conducted in 2014 and 2021, and a one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) was executed. In addition, non-linear least squares regression of the PROC NLIN procedure was used to develop an optimal diameter growth model. Results: Based on growth and trait analyses, the height and height-to-diameter (H/D) ratio were not different according to treatment plot (p > .05). For the diameter of basal height (DBH), the heavy thinning (HT) treatment plot was significantly larger than the control plot (p < .05). As a result of the development of diameter growth models by treatment plot, the mean squared error (MSE) of the Gompertz polymorphic equation (control: 2.2381, light thinning: 0.8478, and heavy thinning: 0.8679) was the lowest in all treatment plots, and the Shapiro-Wilk statistic was found to follow a normal distribution (p > .95), so it was selected as an equation fit for the diameter growth model. Conclusion: The findings of this study provide basic data for the systematic management of Quercus glauca Thunb. stands. It is necessary to construct permanent sample plots (PSP) that consider stand status, location conditions, and climatic environments.
