ATP 시스템에서 열차속도에 따른 지상자에서 차상자까지의 자계의 세기 및 비트오류율에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Magnetic Field Intensity and BER from Wayside Device to On-board Device about the Train Speed in ATP System)

  • Electric railway system consists of rolling stock, track, signal and catenary system. ATP system in railway signaling system is the important one grasping the position and velocity of a train. The wayside device of ATP system is installed between rails. Recently, the research about increasing train speed has been developed in total departments of the railroad systems. The study on the information transmission between on-board device and wayside device is required for increasing the train speed in the ATP system. When the train speed is increased as to same transmission distance, the problem on information transmission occurs because the transmission time is decreased. In case that the transmission distance is extended, the transmission time is decreased with respect to the train speed. Therefore, we have to define the standard magnetic field intensity as to the train speed in order to transmit correctly telegram. In this paper, the transmission distance for the telegram is suggested on the basis of the train speed. Also, the standard magnetic field intensity from the wayside device to on-board device is proposed by using transmission distance regarding the train speed in the ERTMS/ETCS system by using Matlab program. Also, BER according to the train speed is presented by calculating electric field intensity from the magnetic field intensity.

  • 현재 일반적으로 사용되는 Time Domain Sampling(아래 TDS) 방식의 SAW Device는 빠른 Data 처리를 할 수 있지만 그만큼의 빠른 sampling 속도를 요구하기 때문에 고속의 AD 컨버터가 필요하다. 이 고속의 AD 컨버터는 고가의 장비로 Device 제작에 부담이 되는 실정이다. 반면에 Frequency Domain Sampling(아래 FDS) 방식으로 구현된 SAW Device는 고속의 sampling을 요구하지 않기 때문에 고가의 고속 AD 컨버터가 필요하지 않다. 이렇게 느린 sampling 속도는 상대적으로 고속의 processing을 요구하게 되는데 이는 저가의 Embedded System만으로도 구현이 가능하기 때문에 가격대비 성능에서 효율이 훨씬 높다고 할 수 있다. 그럼에도 FDS 방식의 SAW sensor를 제작하는 것이 까다롭기 때문에 현재 구현된 FDS 방식의 SAW Device는 매우 드문 실정이다. 본 연구에서는 이 문제를 해결하기 위해 기존의 TDS용 SAW sensor를 그대로 이용한 FDS 방식의 SAW Device에 대해 설계 및 구현한다.

Performance Analysis of a Flow Passage Opening Device through Low Speed Aircraft Captive Flight Tests

  • In a pressurized fuel supply system of aircraft, a flow passage opening device is required to keep fuel continuously transferred from one tank to the other. The device utilizes balancing weights in order to follow up an acceleration at special conditions such as negative g. It is very difficult to test the device in a real high-speed and high-altitude test since severe test conditions and expensive supports are needed. Therefore, this paper deals with performance analysis of a flow passage opening device through low speed aircraft captive flight tests (CFT) including roll and negative-g maneuvers. It is shown that balancing weights in the device can open the passage in accordance with fuel position.

고속용 풀리형식 장력조정장치 개발 (A Development of Pulley-type Tensioning Device for a High Speed Railway)

  • In the electrical railway, the tension ascension of contact wire is essential to speed up of train and current collection performance of catenary largely depends on the tension. The tension variation rate of the tensioning device used in existing line limits within 5%, and the tension variation rate of the spring-type tensioning device installed at the section where tensioning length is short bounds within 15%. So it is urgent for us to localize it for high speed line, which the tension variation rate is limited within 3%. Therefore in this study, a pulley-type tensioning device for high speed line is developed. To verify the performance of developed device, a performance test, overload test and failure test is carried out under the code of the Kyung-Bu High Speed line. And it is secured durability performance through a fatigue test.

  • The purpose of this study is to develop a noise reduction device installed at the top of noise barrier for further decreasing of noise level of 400 km/h class high-speed railroad. For this, the frequency spectrum of 400 km/h class high-speed railroad was analyzed through the field noise test, and the tuning frequency was determined to design a noise reduction device. The noise reduction device was designed to have noise reduction performance of at least 3 dB(A) using the prediction method(2D BEM) and through the laboratory test with the prototype. Finally, the outdoor test showed that this device could decrease noise level of 400 km/h class high-speed railroad even more than 3 dB(A).

  • The pulley-type tensioning device subjected to a maximum tension of 34 kN has been developed for 400 km/h high-speed railway. The tensioning device is to maintain the tension variation within 3% of the normal value, irregardless of temperature changes. Field tests shows that the tensioning device had a variation of tension which was as small as 0.6% as temperatures changed from $-5{\sim}7^{\circ}C$. Along with the tensions, we measured its X and Y movements due to the temperature changes. Based on a combination of its X and Y movements, we proposed a new performance index with which we can see if the tensioning device has troubles in operation without tension measurements.

  • High-speed device is essential to optoelectric IC for optical storage system such as CD-ROM, DVD, and to ADC for high-speed communication system. This paper represents the BiCMOS process which contains high-speed SAVEN bipolar transistor and analyzes the frequency and switching characteristics of it briefly. Finally, to prove that the SAVEN device is adequate for high-speed system, latched comparator operating at 500MHz is designed with the SPICE parameter extracted from BiCMOS device simulation.

가변속 왕복동 압축기의 급유 촉진기구 설계 (Design of Oil Supply Enhancement Device for a Variable Speed Reciprocating Compressor)

  • This paper addresses an oil supply enhancement device to resolve a shortage of oil supply or no oil supply at all encountered at low speed operation for a variable speed reciprocating compressor used for household refrigerators. The oil supply enhancement device comprises a moving cylinder attached to the lower end of crankshaft and two of fluid diodes, each one at the inlet and outlet of the cylinder. Up-and-down movement of the cylinder against the lower end of the crankshaft together with the functioning of the two fluid diodes produces net oil flow from oil reservoir to inside the crankshaft. The experiment on the test bench has shown that enough oil supply into the oil feeding hole cu be made by using this device even at low speed range. Some analytical study has also been carried out to under-stand its oil supply mechanism.

  • There are various walking devices based on Theo Jansen mechanism. And these systems controlled by complicate equations. So we decided to optimize the design of walking device with two points of view. The device is required to ensure stability while maintaining the high speed. To simplify the control system, we applied trigonometric ratio with ideal Jansen trajectory. As a result, we were able to draw the connection between height of barrier and Ground Length (GL). Also we could change traveling distance and Ground Angle Coefficient (GAC) by shifting the position of the joints. Through controlling these parameter, we can analyze stability and speed of the device. Ultimately, we develop the device that can walk more efficiently by the optimization process.
