Development of RAD Tool for JDBC Application Development (JDBC 응용 개발을 위한 RAD TOOL 개발)

  • The currently and most widely used client/server architecture is composed of database servers and clients that include both application and presentation logic. To date, due to the rapid growth in WWW, these client/server applications are implemented using Java language, especially in GUI design at client sides and client/server applications development using JDBC. To develop the applications using JDBC, developers should design database schema, code source code for JDBC connection, design report forms to display selected columns from server-side database. In this paper, we propose a development environment based on JavaBeans component for client/server applications development using JDBC. The proposed environment minimizes manual coding and enables developers to develop client/server applications easily with the designed JavaBeans components and their custom property editor.

Development of Dynamic Simulator for Light Rail Transit Depot (경량전철 차량기지 동적 시뮬레이터 개발)

  • Recently, in the era of low carbon and green growth, the importance of railway transportation is being emphasized However, there is a lack of research on simulation for railway depot. This paper presents the development of the dynamic simulator for LRT(Light Rail Transit) depot. This study presents explanations of requirement analysis, architecture, database design, simulation algorithm, and design and development of the simulation tool. The dynamic LRT depot simulation tool consists of four modules; a Network Editor to create and modify information regarding railroad, train, signal, turnout, job and station, a Simulator to calculate train movement algorithm, a Reporter to show simulation results in table and graphs, and an Animator to animate simulation results dynamically. It is hoped that this study on general details of structure, design and development of LRT depot dynamic simulator will perform as a good reference to future development of new simulation tools.

  • The paper addresses an issue of industry-joint engineering education paradigm with the purpose of setting a new standard for engineering education by development and support of competitive curriculum for the interdisciplinary team-based product development, a specialized and innovative engineering education program. In the department of MSDE (Mechanical and System Design Engineering), students are educated via three major courses for targeting engineering design, Creative Engineering Design (freshman), Design Process (Senior), and Creative Product Development (Junior). All these courses are based on personal tool exercises for design software and hardware and team-project group activities of the students with other team members. This paper will briefly discuss the main focuses of these courses and case studies of the teaching results targeting the development of telecommunication device.

  • As the functional and nonfunctional requirements of defence systems become more complex and precise, concerning about the systematic development of software embedded into the defence systems has become surged up. In order to develop more reliable and correct software, and to extend the life cycle of the developing software, adoption of some engineering technologies such as development process, methodology, CASE tools and documentation is essentially required. This paper introduce an approach to technical information management in embedded software development process, with an instance, airborne ECM system development project. Particularly, we suggest and explain how to guide the software development according to process and methodology, and how to generate technical documents using CASE tool.

  • The objective of this paper is to present the development and application of interface software between robot and F/T sensor for force control. The interface software for among the robot controller, F/T sensor, and host PC is based on interrupt-driven method. To show the suitability of developed interface software, writing-task is performed in real time using F/T sensor that mounts on the wrist of the robot and Scara type 4-axis robot.

  • Petri Nets are a graphical and mathematical modeling and promising tool for describing and studying that are characterized as being concurrent, asychronous, dynamic, distributed and parrallel. The purpose of this paper is to analyze FMS Throughout-Rate by development of Petri Nets So, it applied to FMS composed of 7 machines and 4 different job types. The result of this paper shows the advantage of using Petri Nets.
