  • Home networking and its security issues are directly related. Previous studies have shown that home-network and understanding the security of it is a problem for non-technical users. The existing network management tools or ISP adapter tools are far too technical and difficult to be understood by ordinary home-network users. Its interface is not non-technical user-directed and does not address the home user's needs in securing their network. This paper presents an interactive security monitoring tool, which emphasizes support features for home-network users. The tool combines an interactive visual appearance with a persuasive approach that supports sustainability. It is not only an easy-to-use tool for all categories of home-network users but also acts as a monitoring feature for the user to secure their home-network.

  • Recently, an unprecedented emerging infectious disease has rapidly spread, causing a global shortage of wards. Although various temporary beds have appeared, the supply of wards specializing in infectious diseases is required. Negative pressure isolation wards should maintain their function even after an earthquake. However, the current seismic design standards do not guarantee the negative pressure isolation wards' operational (OP) performance level. For this reason, some are not included in the design target even though they are non-structural elements that require seismic design. Also, the details of non-structural elements are usually determined during the construction phase. It is often necessary to complete the stability review and reinforcement design for non-structural elements within a short period. Against this background, enhanced performance objectives were set to guarantee the OP non-structural performance level, and a computerized tool was developed to quickly perform the seismic design of non-structural elements in the negative pressure isolation wards. This study created a spreadsheet-based computer tool that reflects the components, installation spacing, and design procedures of non-structural elements. Seismic performance review and design of the example non-structural elements were conducted using the computerized tool. The strength of some components was not sufficient, and it was reinforced. As a result, the time and effort required for strength evaluation, displacement evaluation, and reinforcement design were reduced through computerized tools.

  • This paper presents an efficient methodology for information system development by adopting the concept of extended components which can achieve the improvement of development productivity, reductrion of development time periods, quality improvement of information systems, etc. when information development projects are carried out. First of all, for efficient development of information systems, development steps of current methodologies for information system analysis are subdivided into components in detail and outputs required at each step are defined. The components are extended by types and various application methods are proposed in each step of information system development. In addition, a method which uses advantages of current methods such as SDLC, prototyping, and RAD, is also proposed. In this research, a CASE tool named S-Designer is used for the development of extended components and their interface, and a system development method called DSDM for the deviation of detailed steps and corresponding outputs.

  • The purposes of this study were to a) measure the IC identified of CFMC (contract foodservice management company) ,b) examine IC circumstance of CFMC, c) evaluate practically IC measurement tool of CFMC, and d) present information for selecting an adequate CFMC to clients. The questionnaires of IC measurement were handed out to 108 CFMCs, there composing of main office employees, foodservice managers, customers, and clients of 207 school,38 hospital, and 86 husiness/industry foodservices. The statistical data analysis was completed using SPSS Win (ver 12.0) for descriptive analysis, t-test, Mann-Whitney U test. First, CFMCs had operational experience for an average of 8 years and 8 months, and served an average of 38,540 meals a day. Most of the respondent companies specialized in the school foodservice field and managed an average of 66 clients for the contract period of 2 years and 3 months. Second, the respondent companies had gotten a score of 77.78 points for the total average, 77.7 points in the large enterprise group and 78.1 points in the small and medium-sized enterprise group. Therefore, the minimum number of points for the accrediting license on Qualification is suggested to be over 70 out of a 100 point scale; this study would be serve as reference for the certification license on qualification. On the level of evaluation category, the scores were 14.15 to 20 points on $\ulcorner$finance$\urcorner$, 19.24 to 25 points on $\ulcorner$customer$\urcorner$, 19.33 to 25 points on $\ulcorner$process$\urcorner$, 14.31 to 20 points on $\ulcorner$human resource$\urcorner$, and 8.6 to 10 point on $\ulcorner$renewal and development$\urcorner$ . $\ulcorner$Renewal and development$\urcorner$ and $\ulcorner$customer focus$\urcorner$ received better grades than other evaluation categories. Third, $\ulcorner$Finance$\urcorner$ indicated similar distribution overall. Small and medium-sized companies had lower grades than large companies on 'market ability' of $\ulcorner$customer$\urcorner$ , but, clients of small and medium-sized companies had higher grade for 'client satisfaction' than large companies. Most of the companies supported 'infrastructure support for foodservice operation' of $\ulcorner$process$\urcorner$ by the main office of CFMCs, but, the branch chain offices of CFMCs were not applied efficiently. Large companies made more effort to improve the 'employee ability' of $\ulcorner$human focus$\urcorner$ than small and medium-sized CFMC. The 'research and development cost' of $\ulcorner$renewal and development$\urcorner$ was increased compared to the previous year. In conclusion, if CFMCs were to perform self-evaluation and a routine checkups by utilizing CFMC's IC measuring tool, improvements in CFMC operational capacities as well as foodservice quality can be noted. • Today, the development of new technologies due to the 4th industrial revolution requires work performance methods such as non-face-to-face collaboration. In response to this, various VR collaboration tools are emerging, but VR collaboration tools for brainstorming, which are used in collaboration or design development work, are not provided. Therefore, despite the advantages and possibilities of VR for non-face-to-face collaboration, there are limitations in practical use. Accordingly, the development of VR collaboration tools in a digitalized work environment is necessary, and research on UI design development for this is required. The purpose of this study is to propose a VR collaboration tool prototype by developing an interaction UI design that applies user hand behavior elements that appear during collaboration sessions through user research. This study was a qualitative study. The research method was to conduct user research through observation and in-depth interviews, and as a result of analyzing the data obtained from this, five types of user hand behavior elements were derived. In this study, an interaction UI design was developed that reflects hand gestures as behavioral elements. And using Unity and the Oculus Integration SDK Kit, we created a prototype VR collaboration tool that can be used without a controller. As a result of conducting a user evaluation of the prototype produced in this study, it was found that users had difficulty making hand gestures accurately, and it was possible to find areas for improvement in UI design. It is expected that this study will help develop interaction UI design for VR collaboration tools that can increase work efficiency.

  • Recently, in automotive industry, there have been many researches related with hardware components and embedded software which controls hardware components. Since most of embedded software is tightly dependent on car manufacturers, there were some problems in reusability and interoperability of automotive software. In order to solve these problems, AUTOSAR standardized the component-based software architecture of automotive software. In AUTOSAR, several modeling diagrams should be described and their dependencies are also checked. Currently, a few company developed the prototypes of tools supporting AUTOSAR. In this paper, a component modeling tool based on AUTOSAR 3.0 is developed for enhancing the usability of existing tools using Eclipse GMF. The tool is composed of a graphical component modeling tool and a graphical network topology tool. Since these tools are generated based on GMF without hard coding, it is relatively easy to customize the tools for adopting company‘s needs and easy to follow the improvement of the standard and development environments.
