매개변수 변동을 갖는 2관성 시스템의 강건제어 (Robust Control of Two Mass Spring System with Parameter Variations)

  • In this paper, using $\mu$ synthesis algorithm with structured uncertainty, we design controller and apply it for the Two-Inertia resonance(TMS: Two Mass Spring) system. The TMS system is one of the simplest models which generate a torsional vibration. In this system, it is required to design a controller achieving the control performance while suppressing the torsional vibration. Furthermore, when vibration frequency for the system is varying by reason of parameter variations, we should consider parameter variations in controller design. Then, we design two other controller schemes of the PI controller and the standard $H_{\infty}$ controller and compare these controllers with the controller designed by the $\mu$ synthesis robust control method by using simulations and experiments.

  • As as result of development of new voyage route, especially Baltic seas, it is necessary for the design to meet ice class requirements as vessels continue to increase in this route. For this reason Finish-Swedish ice class has recently amended a regulation on the propulsion shafting design and engine output required for the ships which will be navigable in the brash ice channels broken by ice-breakers in Baltic seas. Therefore, this study shows the appropriate calculation methods for the design of engine output and propulsion shafting system based on ice class requirements.

  • By the reason of increased demand of high productivity, the researches on manufacturing process and equipments for reducing cycle time have been made in many directions of a machine tool industries. Among these, this paper proposed method of decreasing displacement in MC(machining center). Factors affecting displacement are a motor mass, head thickness, column thickness and base thickness. In this paper We could find design factors has much influence on decreasing the unclamping time using the Taguchi method and optimized the level of the factors using $ADAMS^{(R)}$.

  • In this research, we are trying to research about hydraulic system design and vehicle dynamic modeling far the development of the tire roller. The reason why we would like develop it is that tire roller is one of the most useful machine for the road construction site and application other construction equipments. Here, we conceptualize the new hydraulic system and derive the equations of motion fur dynamic analysis and also investigate system modeling by using a DAQ board. We design the hydraulic circuit of steering and traction mechanism system. This design can be used to create virtual prototypes of construction equipment. So, we studied tire roller to integrate development technology. In system analysis, we formulate hydraulic traction system model and hydraulic steering system model. Also, we integrate DAQ system to acquire experimental results in real tire roller equipment.

  • KEPCO is now promoting the new project of upgrading its highest system voltage from 345kV to 765kV. The main reason of this project is an insurance of bulk power transmission from power complexes at coast to power demand center at Kyoung-In area. The new system needs a careful approach to basic design to secure its reliability and to reduce the increase of investment cost. So, We introduced the basic philosophy of insulation design in spring meeting of this transaction. This paper, after preceding paper, deals with the insulation design example for 765kV transmission lines.

An Overview on Performamce Control and Efficient Design of Lateral Resisting Moment Frames

  • This paper presents a brief overview of the recently developed performance-control method of moment frame design subjected to monotonously increasing lateral loading. The final product of any elastic-plastic analysis is a nonlinear loaddisplacement diagram associated with a progressive failure mechanism, which may or may not be as desirable as expected. Analytically derived failure mechanisms may include such undesirable features as soft story failure, partial failure modes, overcollapse, etc. The problem is compounded if any kind of performance control, e.g., drift optimization, material savings or integrity assessment is also involved. However, there is no reason why the process can not be reversed by first selecting a desirable collapse mechanism, then working backwards to select members that would lead to the desired outcome. This article provides an overview of the newly developed Performance control methodology of design for lateral resisting frameworks with a view towards integrity control and prevention of premature failure due to propagation of plasticity and progressive P-delta effects.

미국에서의 RC무량판 내진설계기준과 개정 방향 (Seismic Design Provisions and Revisions to the Guides for RC Flat Plate Systems in the US)

  • Seismic design of reinforced concrete flat plate structures is often complicated as it deals with three dimensionality and continuous spans, and mostly material complexity and reinforcement variation. A great degree of uncertainty in such structural and material properties is thus inherent in the RC flat plate systems, and hinders simplification of the design process in terms of slab flexure, unbalanced moment transfer at a slab-column connection, and punching shear. For these reasons, there have been substantial changes and updates in building codes relating to flat plates and slab-column connections over a handful of decades. Also, for the same reason, some of codes never have been revised. As a consequence of nonsimultaneous development of each provision, it tends to confuse structural engineers when using a mixture of all different US code provisions. In this paper, in the step-by-step logical order, seismic design of the RC flat plate systems is re-organized and clarified to make it easier to apply. Furthermore, recent changes or proposed changes are introduced, and are explained as to how it will apply in practice.

연산공유 승산 알고리즘을 이용한 내적의 최적화 및 이를 이용한 1차원 DCT 프로세서 설계 (Optimization Design Method for Inner Product Using CSHM Algorithm and its Application to 1-D DCT Processor)

  • The DCT algorithm needs an efficient hardware architecture to compute inner product. The conventional design method, like ROM-based DA(Distributed Arithmetic), has large hardware complexity. Because of this reason, a CSHM(Computation Sharing Multiplication) was proposed for implementing inner product by Park. However, the Park's CSHM has inefficient hardware architecture in the precomputer and select units. Therefore it degrades the performance of the multiplier. In this paper, we presents the optimization design method for inner product using CSHM algorithm and applied it to implementation of 1-D DCT processor. The experimental results show that the proposed multiplier is more efficient than Park's when hardware architectures and logic synthesis results were compared. The designed 1-D DCT processor by using proposed design method is more high performance than typical methods.

  • 설계초기단계에서 고효율 조명기기의 채택을 원활하게 해주고, 동시에 LLF값을 산정 해줌으로써 건물설계에 적용되는 조명에너지를 절감해주기 위해서는 조명 설계 기법의 개선과 조명 설계 과정의 표준화가 필요하다. 이를 바탕으로 구역공간법(ZCM: Zonal Cavity Method)을 이용한 평균조도 계산용 소프트웨어를 개발하였다.

단상 유도형 동기전동기의 회전자 설계에 관한 연구 (A study on the Rotor Design in Single-phase Line-start Permanent Magnet Motor)

  • The purpose of this paper is the rotor design of a single-phase LSPM(Line-start permanent magnet) motor. A single-phase LSPM motor has a permanent magnet in the rotor that is same as induction motor. For that reason, magnet is operated by breaking torque in starting region and alignment torque in driving region. Therefore, we need the design process considering the trade-off relationship. In this paper, we propose the design process of a single-phase LSPM motor for a high starting torque and efficiency with FEM. And we use Taguchi Method for considering tolerance in manufacture. Finally, we compared the LSPM motor that is designed in this paper and conventional induction motor.
