최근 폭발적으로 늘어나는 인터넷 웹사이트들은 우리에게 새로운 형태의 시각정보를 제공하고, 지역을 초월한 세계 여러 나라와 정보를 교환할 수 있는 창구 역할을 하고 있다. 이러한 인터넷을 통한 정보는 컴퓨터 모니터 상에서 화소로 표시되며 전통적인 인쇄매체와는 달리 다양한 플랫폼을 통해서 보여진다. 인터넷 웹사이트의 초기화면(홈페이지)은 하부구조를 갖지 않는 첫째 장 전체를 의미하는 것으로 타이틀과 아이콘, 내용, 심볼, 주소, 배너광고 등으로 이루어지며 그래픽 적인 처리와 기획 력, 내용 등을 고려하여 제작하게 된다. 또한 홈페이지를 구성하는 레이아웃, 서채, 색채 등의 그래픽 적인 요소는 전체 이미지를 결정하는 시각적 표현이 되므로 중요하게 다루어지고 있다. 본 연구는 인터넷상의 웹사이트 홈페이지를 각 분야에서 무작위로 추출하여 홈페이지에서 보여지는 색채분야, 즉 색채 팔레트 및 바탕과 텍스트의 색채관계를 연구 분석하였다. 이러한 홈페이지 제작상의 그래픽 적 해결방법은 다분히 주관적이고 이에 따른 반응도 다양할 수 있으나, 새로운 미디어에 관한 객관적인 분석 자료로서 참고가 될 수 있으며, 또한 인터넷상에서 적용되는 그래픽의 특성과 Graphical User Interface를 바탕으로 한 디자인을 구성 기획하기 위한 기초 자료로서 활용할 수 있다.

Chair design in recent international furniture exhibitions showed that chair products were varied with several elements in simple and basic shapes. Likewise, the project supposedly referred to a group that could be classified as a design with a concept of ranges, and if the design were aimed at mass production, those group concept could be even stronger in the fields of design. Based on many modern and contemporary examples of mass-produced chairs from three Scandinavian countries namely Denmark, Sweden, and Finland, this study was aimed at discovering new points of view, characteristics, and chair design concerning dominant products. The six companies and three artists were selected as this research's samples. The companies have to have more than four kinds of ranges, and they were Fritz Hansen, Bl Station, K llemo, Lammhults, Artek, and Vivero. We have chosen the 3 artists such as Hans J. Wegner, Bruno Mathsson, and Alvar Aalto who have repeatedly used their own motives to reflect their national identities in various works. The method of the research was the analysis of the current situations of chair designs' ranges. The results of the analysis on the product group for each of the six selected companies show the following variables: 1)Formative characteristics 2)Structural characteristics 3)Emotional characteristics. The artists' groups have symbolically expressed personal identities, and consequently, national identities. Finally, the variation in the simple elements of chair design made the identification of product groups ultimately easier, as the expressions and applications of their identities were used within the scope of mass products in various designs.

Brick is not only aesthetically beautiful and emotional material, but also eco-friendly and good building commodity for human health. Nonetheless, the use of brick has declined, due to the difficulty of building high-rise buildings and the limitation of the free form implementation. However, modern society is increasingly interested in environmentally friendly finishing materials for solving environmental problems. From this point of view, the brick architecture is being reexamined as a material to improve the living environment and to provide comfort without destroying nature. In addition, the development of digital technology enables the implementation of various types of masonry method and curved forms. Parametric design is one of the ways to realize the curved forms and various architectural expressions for brick architecture. In this background, the purpose of this study is to develop algorithms that can easily generate curved brick walls through parametric design, enable various pattern designs, and respond to real-time feedback. The details of the study are as follows. First of all, we examine organic architecture, the trend of brick architecture, and the concept of parametric design. Secondly, In order to generate curved surface with complex curvature, major planning factors affecting form generation are examined. Finally, we develop a parametric design method that consists of generating a curved surface for brick arrangement, implementing a parametric algorithm, and generating a curved form using bricks. Consequentially, we propose an algorithm that can maximize the use of ready-made bricks without using cut bricks to design curved walls and present efficient and economical design alternatives.

새로운 미의식의 창조를 위해 이질적이고 대립적인 요소를 융합 혼합하는 절충주의는 다양성, 다원화에 기초하므로서 개성화, 다양화를 추구하는 현대인의 요구에 부합되어 각광 받고 있다. 본 연구는 현대직물디자인에 표현된 절충주의 양식을 파악하기 위하여 현대예술분야를 통해 그 특성을 규명하고 이를 직물디자인에 적용시켜 새로운 경향이 제시한 미적 효과와 조형적 특성을 고찰하므로서 현대직물디자인의 변화양상을 이해하고자 하였다. 연구결과 현대 직물디자인에 나타난 경향은 다음의 3개로 구별되는데, 1) 문화적 절충에 의한 고급문화와 저급문화의 복합, 2) 시대적 절충에 의한 다양한 시대적 감각의 융합, 3) 지역적 절충에 의한 지역적 특성의 혼합으로 나타나며, 이러한 경향으로 본 직물디자인의 특징은 1) 직물디자인에 대한 시각의 전환을 가져왔고, 2) 유희적 표현을 중시하였으며 3) 다문화적 표현이 강조되고 있다. 이와 같이 직물디자인의 절충주의적 경향은 다변화되고 있는 현대 사회를 대변해주고 미래 직물디자인을 위한 하나의 가능성을 제시하여 주므로서 이에 대한 연구는 지속적으로 필요하다.

String, as clothing material, has played a functional, symbolic and decorative role in garment traditionally. The string has a shape of continuous line, which is one of the basic elements for the design: points, lines and sides. It can effectively represent the silhouette by making our vision flow to a certain direction. This study reinterprets the traditional form of string in a new modern way by developing "Tube-Shaped String" which has an empty hole in the middle. As a creative attempt, the new tube-shaped string can be used for fashion design by applying it to unique shapes, colors, textures, and draping expressions. In a role dimension, this string can become the main fabric material. The methods of the study are as follows. First, it examines the traditional shape and role of string in the history of garment. Second, it studies modern designers, such as Christian Dior, Ann Demeulemeester, Dolce & Gabbana, and 3.1 Phillip Lim, who have applied the string to their design, and have explored the various potentials of the string in the past four years. Finally, based on the theoretical research and practical analysis, this study creates a new tube-shaped string, applying its own technique to fabricating three garments: jacket, dress, and body suit. As a result, each garment shows unique silhouettes, rich texture and color, and rhythmical movement. The unique silhouettes reflect the shape and movement of different bodies. The texture and color are created through the shades of the string which come from the overlapping strips. The garments come with an unbeatable aesthetic design compared to conventional uniform design. As a new material in clothing, this tube-shaped string can be developed to satisfy the public, which has widely varying tastes in fashion.

For a shunt power quality controller (SPQC) the DC side voltage value which is closely related to the compensation performance is a significant parameter. Buy so far, very little discussion has been conducted on this in a quantitative manner by previous publications. In this paper, a method to design the DC side voltage of SPQC is presented according to the compensation performance in the single-phase system and the three-phase system respectively. First, for the reactive current and the harmonic current compensation, a required minimal value of the DC side voltage with a zero total harmonic distortion (THD) of the source current and a unit power factor is obtained for a typical load, through the equivalent circuit analysis and the Fourier Transform analytical expressions. Second, when the DC side voltage of SPQC is lower than the above-obtained minimal value, the quantitative relationship between the DC side voltage and the THD after compensation is also elaborated using the curve diagram. Hardware experimental results verify the design method.

As the needs for the mega-sized, high-rise and irregular shape of building increase, domestic application of BIM in construction industry is increasing in recent years. In this circumstance, interests in BIM modeling and modeling detail level have been also increased. BIM that is based on a three-dimensions, requires a specific and precise building expressions. And model expression level required for each phase such as design, construction, and maintenance of the construction project could be different as its needs. Because that it is not clear to define the criteria for the expression level of construction BIM model, It is difficult to decide how detail and what to model is appropriate in the practical application of BIM model. It could be the reason why the productivity in construction project became lower and lower. In this study we consider the way how to improve the productivity of BIM and analyze the appropriate representation level of construction BIM model through the experts' survey. The results of study could suggest the basis for an appropriate expression level of construction BIM model.

The meaning of the characteristics of formative expression in contemporary residential architecture is flowing elements as important means to inbreathe emotional feeling of movement and as automatic and positive wats of expression. So the purpose of this study was to analyze the characteristics of formative expression in contemporary residential architecture, and to plan residential design linked with this kind of concept. For this study, analysis of case studies were used and the cases were selected in contemporary residential architecture which were represented having formative expressions since 2005. The major results found that the characteristics of formative expression were ex-center, reiteration, dispersibility, diagonality, plasticity, non-linearity, and deconstruction. In addition to that, we derived various methods expressing the formative characteristics, which were mass transformation, plan variation and composition element transformation. Summing these results up, the various characteristics of formative expression in contemporary residential architecture are understood as the results of the free modeling will of architects fulfilled with the spirit of inquiry and experiment to escape from the standard architecture in order to differentiate themselves.

The purpose of this study is to consider various characteristics in the graffiti-look in the modem fashion by interpreting meanings and properties of graffiti, transferred from street art to a new main stream in art. The scope of this study is limited to works from the 1990s to the present, and the materials for the literatures and exploratory study are fashion-related portfolios and the domestic and foreign fashion magazines. The first characteristic is satire. The graffiti-look conveys directly or indirectly with phrase or symbol various messages of politics, social ideology, wealth and poverty, environmental pollution, anti-war, etc. Body is even more used for graffitiand designers express freely their identity or ideology through the formative style of graffiti. The second characteristic is pleasure. Fantastic expressions from a fairy-tale or fable in the graffiti-look give humor meaning freedom and sense of liberation in a sense of catharsis to the modem people's emotion. The graffiti-look uses graffiti works to introduce its original message of humanism, happiness, humor, etc. to clothing; as a result, the graffiti-look features pleasure. The third characteristic iscommercial application. Brand logo designed by graffiti style is decorated with clothing, accessory, or ornament. This may not only emphasize brand name through lingual function of graffiti, but also be used for a distinctive marketing strategy against other brands. Logo which is regarded motive or pattern of design leaves a image instead of a meaning and performs a design function stressing formative sense.

The $21^{st}$ century is the age of sentiment and image. As industrial development pushes the demands of consumers for various goods, the marketing patterns of these goods have individualized. They are expressions embedded with various meanings. Retail shops, now going beyond the practical purpose of display and sales of goods, enhancing brand images and establishing a consumer-oriented strategy, play a key role in reacting to and creating overall cultural issues. This study will analyze and investigate the Prada retail shop, which has distinguished its brand image and effectively promoted its identity through a sustained management strategy. The Prada retail shop has established an image of a cultural icon through cultural marketing. It suggests individuality and creativity along with diversity It reflects the basic concepts of cultural marketing, freedom of expression combined with information and high technology. The Prada building symbolizes the brand itself. To foster these kinds of retail shops, data and information based on continuous studies must be provided and shared, and also the systematic reinterpretation and the effective presentation of expressive trends in interior design needs to be studied on an ongoing basis.
