  • This study identifies technical barriers and trends on Radio Frequency Identification(RFID) applications for military force, and investigates technical requirements for the RFID implementation on military information systems, based on the preliminary research results from the introductory RFID applications on Ammunition Information System(AIS). We first obtain technical requirements using the Quality Function Deployment(QFD) methods, and identify the areas for research and developments. Furthermore, based on the survey results from military experts and users, we provide the potential application areas for military RFID implementation. Conversely, a technology and research roadmap for RFID in the military system is developed.

  • QFD(Quality Function Deployment) is design method which is focused to guarantee of quality and function to satisfy for customer’s need. QFD are used entire manufacturing, specially new production development and design. HOQ(House of Quality) are important tool of QFD, which is implement that complex function and communications of customer. Actually implementation of HOQ are difficult by HOQ's size. It is well known that complexity of HOQ are exponentially increasing by increasing of HOQ’s size. In this Paper, we study of HOQ Complexity reduction by Quantification Method of Type Ⅲ. That method is efficiency and minimize of loss information by reduction HOQ. We give example and prove our suggestion method is better than other methods.

  • Purpose: This paper proposes a structured approach based on Quality Function Deployment (QFD) for service development in the banking industry. Methods: SERVQUAL is modified and adopted as a tool to understand customer requirements for the QFD. Fuzzy theory is used to resolve the subjectivity and ambiguity of customer requirements and satisfaction. This research also uses the importance- satisfaction model to construct an additional House of Quality (HOQ). A pair of houses of quality provides a confluence of results to avoid a risk of depending solely on the results of a single HOQ. Results: A case study is introduced with three domestic banks. Conclusion: The proposed approach effectively addresses a service development problem.

  • Many mechanical systems are over-constrained if only rigid bodies are used to model the system. One example of such system is a satellite system with solar panels. To avoid this over-constrained problem, solar panels can be modeled as flexible bodies. The CMS(Component Mode Synthesis) method is widely used to analyze the flexible multi-body system because it can considerably approximate the deformation of the flexible bodies using small number of well-selected mode. However, it is very difficult to decide the boundary condition and the selection of modes. In this paper, the methods for mode synthesis and setting the boundary condition are presented to analyze the flexible multi-body system with over-constraints. Finally, the reliability of proposed method is verified by solar panel's deployment test.

  • Purpose: The primary purpose of this study is to integrate text mining and Quality Function Deployment (QFD) to automatically extract valuable information from customer reviews, thereby establishing a QFD frame- work to confirm genuine customer needs for New Product Development (NPD). Methods: Our approach combines text mining and QFD through topic modeling and sentiment analysis on a large data set of 56,873 customer reviews from Zappos.com, spanning five running shoe brands. This process objectively identifies customer requirements, establishes priorities, and assesses competitive strengths. Results: Through the analysis of customer reviews, the study successfully extracts customer requirements and translates customer experience insights and emotions into quantifiable indicators of competitiveness. Conclusion: The findings obtained from this research offer essential design guidance for new product develop- ment endeavors. Importantly, the significance of these results extends beyond the running shoe industry, presenting broad and promising applications across diverse sectors.

  • This study analyzes the characteristics of elementary math gifted classes through the development and application of teaching and learning materials. We used the guided reinvention methods including quasi-experiential perspectives. To this end, the applicability of Lakatos' quasi-empirical mathematical philosophy in elementary mathematics was examined, and the criteria for the development of teaching and learning materials for gifted students were presented, and then this study was conducted in this theoretical background. The subjects of the study were 21 elementary students at P University's Institute of Science and Gifted Education, and non-face-to-face real-time classes were conducted. Classes were divided into introduction, deployment1, deployment2, organization stages, and in each stage, small group cooperative learning was conducted based on group activities, and in this process, the characteristics of elementary mathematics gifted were analyzed. As a result of the study, elementary mathematics gifted students did not clearly present the essence of justification in the addition algorithm of fractions, but presented various interpretations of 'wrong' mathematics. They also showed their ingenuity in the process of spontaneously developing 'wrong' mathematics. On the other hand, by taking interest in new mathematics starting from 'wrong' mathematics, negative perceptions about it could be improved positively. It is expected that the development of teaching and learning materials dealing with various and original topics for the gifted students in elementary school will proceed through follow-up research.

  • The purpose of this study is to understand characteristic of expression in Korean style fashion design and investigated Korean style fashion design's deployment and design idea method as well as its esthetic value. The photographs for the research were selected from fashion collections during S/S 2003-F/W 2007 by four specialists in the department of textile and then analyzed with 288 final data. The results were as followings. First, the characteristics of design expression in Korean style fashion design were formation by separating partial shape from the whole, formation by shape's separation and repetition, and connecting formation by combination and transformation of parts. In the case of color, they were direct expression, contrasting formative expression, and gradual changing expression. In the case of pattern, they were the methods of filling, filling & emptying, and partial filling. Second, the deployments of Korean style fashion design were adding modern elements to traditional things, combining traditional elements and modern things, and adding traditional elements to modern things. The third, Korean style fashion design's idea methods were weaving, snatching, adding, and changing. Fourth, it was shown that esthetic values of Korean style fashion design were the interactive organism by building organic relationship, the optimum expressing beauty with minimum elements, the palpitation having dynamics and rhythmical beauty.

  • The security feature is essential in wireless sensor network such as intrusion detection or obstacle observation. Sensor nodes must have shared secret between nodes to support security such as privacy. Many methods which provide key pre-distribution need too many keys or support poor security. To solve this problem, probabilistic key pre-distribution is proposed. This method needs a few keys and use probabilistic method to share keys. However, this method does not guarantee key sharing between nodes, and neighbor nodes nay not communicate each other. It leads to waste of network resource such as inefficient routing, extra routing protocol. In this paper, we propose new key distribution method using quorum system which needs a few keys and guarantee key sharing between nodes. We also propose extension of the method which needs fewer keys and guarantee key sharing when node deployment knowledge is well known.

  • In this paper, we design and fabricate a de-orbiter using drag-sail and evaluate deployment characteristics. Without employing an actuator to deploy, the de-orbiter is activated by the SMA wire based the release mechanism and driven by the restoring force of the tape-spring. For efficient storage and deployment of drag-sail, an origami method of original ISO flasher is chosen and low priced mylar film is used as the material of the drag-sail. In addition, through the fault tree analysis method which is one of the one-shot device reliability evaluation methods, we confirm the reliability of the de-orbiter(0.997572) and the Roller failure has the highest criticality. Finally, we find feasibility of the proposed de-orbiter through the deployment demonstration of drag-sail.

  • CNUSAIL-1 is a 3U-sized cube satellite with $4m^2$ small solar sail which is currently being developed at the Chungnam National University. The primary purpose of the CNUSAIL-1 is successful sail deployment in LEO and its operation for investigating its effect on satellite orbit and attitude as well as performing de-orbiting using the sail membranes as drag sail at the final phase. The system design and mechanism of solar sail deployment is introduced, and optical and tensile tests are carried out for the material of membranes and booms for its safety and performance verification. The ground test is carried out to verify its performance for sail deployment and satellite through comparison between folding methods by determining its folding patterns, thickness of spiral spring and angular velocity measurement in a low-friction environment.
