  • Since one decade. the detection of High frequency Partial Discharge has been proposed as one of the effective method for the diagnosis of the power component under service in power grids. As a tool for this detection. UHF sensor based on the antenna technology has been commercialized for mainly GIS due to its advantages. However, regarding the recognition of the vital defects introducible into the GIS. different types of softwares have been proposed and employed without any convincing probability of identification. In this regards, our work leads us to suggest a novel method named "PA Map" to identify the defects inside the GIS based on the HFPD detection by use of HFCT sensor which is designed according to our patent.

  • PL data에 의해 다이아몬드가 HPHT(고온고압)으로 처리하는 과정을 거치면서 격자 내에 불순물 원자뿐만 아니라 공공과 침입형 원자의 움직임과 감소, 소멸, 생성 등으로 일부 격자가 재배열됨이 드러났다. 특히, PL spectrum은 Type IIa 다이아몬드가 가지는 매우 작은 양의 질소 불순물도 명확히 나타났으며, 이로 인해 상당한 수의 점결함이 결정 격자 내에 분산되어 있음을 알 수 있었다.

  • Today we are observing a lot of injuries, casualties, and property losses that are mainly caused by the defects of products. In order to derive safety designs, which minimize the possibility of such product liability-related accidents, we need to take into account the user-product interaction as an important part of the danger factor analysis. Existing risk analysis techniques, however, have some limitations in detecting comprehensive danger factors that are peculiarly involved in human errors and the functional defects of products. Researches on danger factor analysis regarding the user-product interaction have been carried out actively in ergonomics. In this paper, we suggest a novel product risk analysis technique, which is more objective and systematic compared to the previous ones, by combining a modified TAFEI (Task Analysis For Error Identification) technique with SASA (Systematic Approach to Accident Scenario Analysis) technique. By applying this technique to the product design practice in industry, corporations will be able to improve the product safety, consequently strengthening the competitiveness.

영상인식 기술을 이용한 프로젝션용접 자동화시스템 (An Automated Projection Welding System using Vision Processing Technique)

  • 수작업에 의한 기존의 프로젝션(projection) 용접시스템은 작업자의 부주의로 인한 불량이 자주 발생한다. 본 논문에서는 비전카메라를 사용하여 부품과 제품의 인식, 용접 및 수량 관리를 자동으로 수행하는 프로젝션 용접시스템을 제안한다. 제안 시스템은 비전카메라를 사용하여 용접에 사용되는 부품의 유무와 놓인 상태를 검사한다. 그리고 부품의 용접 후에는 제품 수량 카운터와 드레싱 등의 항목을 자동 갱신한다. 기존 시스템과의 비교 실험을 통해 불량률을 감소시키고 생산성을 높일 수 있음을 보인다.

  • Computer-aided surgery is popular and useful in the field of oral and maxillofacial surgery, because of the possibility of simulation with a high accuracy. In all aspects of surgery, proper planning facilitates more predictable operative results, however before the use of virtual planning, much of this relied on 2-dimensional (2-D) imaging for treatment planning on a 3-dimensional (3-D) object and surgical trial and error. With real-time instrument positioning and clear anatomic identification, a computer-assisted navigation system (CANS) is exceptionally helpful in maxillofacial surgery. These techniques enable performing precise bony ablation and reconstruction, and also decrease surgical time and donor site defect.

신세뇨관 산증 (Renal Tubular Acidosis)

  • Renal tubular acidosis (RTA) is a metabolic acidosis due to impaired excretion of hydrogen ion, or reabsorption of bicarbonate, or both by the kidney. These renal tubular abnormalities can occur as an inherited disease or can result from other disorders or toxins that affect the renal tubules. Disorders of bicarbonate reclamation by the proximal tubule are classified as proximal RTA, whereas disorders resulting from a primary defect in distal tubular net hydrogen secretion or from a reduced buffer trapping in the tubular lumen are called distal RTA. Hyperkalemic RTA may occur as a result of aldosterone deficiency or tubular insensitivity to its effects. The clinical classification of renal tubular acidosis has been correlated with our current physiological model of how the nephron excretes acid, and this has facilitated genetic studies that have identified mutations in several genes encoding acid and base ion transporters. Growth retardation is a consistent feature of RTA in infants. Identification and correction of acidosis are important in preventing symptoms and guide approved genetic counseling and testing.

  • A company wishes to obtain a competitive edge by adopting an efficient logistics information system to control the logistics management process. The elements of the competitive edges a company targets are to maintain good quality, reduce cost and on-time delivery and those competitive edges are closely related to the cycle time of a product. The logistics information system in a company is also closely tied with other business activities than the logistics itself. Therefore it is essential to choose a system that will help rationalize the logistics but also overall business operations along the supply chain from manufacturing to distribution of the products. This paper aims to research and analyze a problem with a logistics information system through case study and to suggest a logistics information system with RFID in place adopted to eliminate problems such as damages, loss and defect rates.

Identification of HGD mutations in an alkaptonuria patient: using the Internet to seek rare diseases

  • Alkaptonuria (AKU, OMIM: 203500) is a rare autosomal recessive disorder of tyrosine metabolism due to a defect of enzyme activity, homogentisate 1,2-dioxygenase (HGD). The patients with AKU initially presented with dark urine discoloration, and ochronosis and arthritis develop after third decades of life. With advances of Internet resources, web-based health seekers for rare disease are increasing. Here, we report the case of an 18-year-old boy with AKU who visited our center due to dark black urine based on self-diagnosis via web searching of this rare condition. Compound heterozygous mutations in HGD gene, IVS5+3A>C and IVS12+6T>C were identified and both of mutations were detected in his parents. Our case illustrates the utility of publicly available Internet resources for diagnosis of rare disease.

Gravure롤 코팅방식에서 비산도료에 의한 비디오 신호의 dropouts (Liquid mist and videotape signal dropouts in gravure roll coating)

  • Dropouts in magnetic media are a primary quality deficiency which is detrimental to magnetic signal quality and thus the major impediment to error-free recording, especially in high density digital recorders. The specific form of defects and causes found to be responsible for signal dropouts occurring in magnetic tape were studied. Dropout occurred when the RF signal falls to low level due to the various types of surface defects. However, the fall in the level of the RF signal in gravure roll coated tapes was most often caused by foreign particles adhering to the magnetic tape. It was also shown from the present study that scattered particles trapped under the tape surface or put on the top can lift it as it crosses the head, creating a spherical tent shaped defect and causing a temporary signal drop. Dropout producing substances were identified through optical and microchemical analyses. The results were correlated with measured electrical signal losses combined with analytical microscopy to clarify source identification of defects.

타 의료기관으로 이탈한 암환자의 특성 파악 (The Identification of the Characteristics of Cancer Patients Who Defected to Other Medical Institutions)

  • This study intends to identify the characteristics of cancer in-patients and those of cancer patients who defected to other medical institutions based on the summary of hospital discharge information of a university hospital for the purpose of improving work efficiency and maximizing the number of patients. The study used data on cancer patients registered in the database of C University Hospital in Gyeonggi Province for a period of one year between January 1 and December 31. The analysis results suggest that the commonalities of the cancer patients who defected to other medical institutions include no specific job, old age, and hospitalization through emergency room. In conclusion, hospitals need to identify the characteristics of cancer patients classified as patients who are prone to defect and the defection factors through this prediction model.
