반복하중하의 FRP 시트 종류에 따른 부착특성 (Bond Characteristics of FRP sheet to Various Types under Cyclic Load)

  • 최근 지진, 노후화 등에 따라 손상된 많은 콘크리트 구조물을 보강하기 위하여 고강도이면서 가볍고 내구성이 뛰어난 특성을 가지고 있는 FRP(Fiber-reinforced polymer) 시트가 구미에서 뿐만 아니라 우리나라에서도 널리 사용되고 있으며 관련연구도 활발히 체계적으로 이루어지고 있다. 일반적으로 FRP 시트로 보강된 RC구조물은 지진, 교통, 온도 등에 의해 자주 반복하중을 받는다. 그러나 대부분의 연구가 일축 하중하에 이루어진 경우가 대부분이며 이러한 연구결과를 토대로 FRP의 부착특성을 확인하고 있으며 다양한 부착모델을 제안하고 있다. 이러한 관점에서 본 연구에서는 아라미드섬유, 탄소섬유, 폴리아세탈 섬유와 매수를 변수로 하여 총 18개의 시험체를 제작하고 최대부착강도, 최대변위, 변형률을 측정하고 그 결과에 근거하여 부착응력, 슬립을 계산하여 반복하중하의 FRP 시트와 콘크리트의 부착특성을 미시적으로 살펴보았다.

회전 마찰형 제진장치의 이력특성에 대한 실험적 연구 (Experimental Study the on Hysteretic Characteristics of Rotational Friction Energy Dissipative Devices)

  • Friction energy dissipative devices have been increasingly implemented as structural seismic damage protecting systems due to their excellent seismic energy dissipating capacity and high stiffness. This study develops rotational friction energy dissipative devices and verifies experimentally their cyclic response. Based on the understanding of the differences between the traditional linear-motion friction behavior and the rotational friction behavior, the configuration of the frictional surface was determined by investigating the characteristics of the micro-friction behavior. The friction surface suggested in this paper consists of brake-lining pads and stainless steel sheets and is normally stressed by high-strength bolts. Based upon these frictional characteristics of the selected interface, the rotational friction energy dissipative devices were developed. Bolt torque-bearing force tests, rotational friction tests of the suggested friction interfaces were carried out to identify their frictional behavior. Test results show that the bearing force is almost linearly proportional to the applied bolt torque and presents stable cyclic response regardless of the experimental parameters selected this testing program. Finally, cyclic tests of the rotational friction energy dissipative devices were performed to find out their structural characteristics and to confirm their stable cyclic response. The developed friction energy dissipative devices present very stable cyclic response and meet the requirements for displacement-dependent energy dissipative devices prescribed in ASCE/SEI 7-10.

SM490-TMC 강재를 적용한 기둥부재 이력거동의 특성 (Hysteretic Behavior Characteristics of SM490-TMC Steel Column)

  • TMCP 강재를 적용한 기둥부재의 정확한 내진설계를 위해서는 반복하중 작용시 기둥부재에 발생하는 이력거동의 특성을 명확히 파악해야 한다. 이러한 이력거동을 정확히 예측하기 위해서는 반복하중 작용시 TMCP 강재의 역학적 특성 및 응력-변형률 관계를 구현할 수 있는 반복소성모델이 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 먼저 단조 및 반복하중실험에 기초하여 SM490 및 SM490-TMC 강재의 반복소성모델을 정식화하였으며 이를 3차원 탄소성 유한요소해석에 적용하였다. 수치해석을 통하여 SM490-TMC 강재를 적용한 원형과 H형 기둥부재의 이력거동의 특성을 파악하였다. 또한 해석결과를 SM490강재가 적용된 기둥부재의 해석결과와 비교하여 SM490-TMC 강재가 원형 및 H형 기둥부재의 이력거동에 미치는 영향을 명확히 하였다.

Model tests on bearing capacity and accumulated settlement of a single pile in simulated soft rock under axial cyclic loading

  • The research reported herein is concerned with the model testing of piles socketed in soft rock which was simulated by cement, plaster, sand, water and concrete hardening accelerator. Model tests on a single pile socketed in simulated soft rock under axial cyclic loading were conducted and the bearing capacity and accumulated deformation characteristics under different static, and cyclic loads were studied by using a device which combined oneself-designed test apparatus with a dynamic triaxial system. The accumulated deformation of the pile head, and the axial force, were measured by LVDT and strain gauges, respectively. Test results show that the static load ratio (SLR), cyclic load ratio (CLR), and the number of cycles affect the accumulated deformation, cyclic secant modulus of pile head, and ultimate bearing capacity. The accumulated deformation increases with increasing numbers of cycles, however, its rate of growth decreases and is asymptotic to zero. The cyclic secant modulus of pile head increases and then decreases with the growth in the number of cycles, and finally remains stable after 50 cycles. The ultimate bearing capacity of the pile is increased by about 30% because of the cyclic loading thereon, and the axial force is changed due to the applied cyclic shear stress. According to the test results, the development of accumulated settlement is analysed. Finally, an empirical formula for accumulated settlement, considering the effects of the number of cycles, the static load ratio, the cyclic load ratio and the uniaxial compressive strength, is proposed which can be used for feasibility studies or preliminary design of pile foundations on soft rock subjected to cyclic loading.

주기전단 하중하의 암석 절리의 역학적 거동에 관한 실험적 연구 (A Experimental Study for the Mechanical Behavior of Rock Joints under Cyclic Shear Loading)

  • 주기전단하중 하의 암석 절리에 대한 역학적 거동을 규명하기 위해 정밀 주기전단시험 장치를 설계·제작하였다. 실험실에서 황등화강암과 여산대리석 인공 절리 시료로 펑면절리와 거친 절리에 대해 일련의 주기전단시험을 실시하였다. 시료에 대한 레이저 변위계를 이용한 3차원 거칠기 측정을통해 절리의 거칠기 특성을규명하였다. 주기전단시험 결과를 통해 주기전단 과정의 단계별 거동 특성과하중과제하시의 거동 차이, 전단거동의 이방성 등을고찰하였다. 거친 절리면의 역학적 거동 특성은 주로 2차 거칠기의 영향과 암석 재료의 높은 강도에 영향을 받았다. 주기전단시 거친 절리에 대한 돌출부 손상이 지수적인 거칢각 손상 법칙을 따름을 실험적으로 검증하였으며, 수직응력파 거칠기 종류, 하중 단계에 따라 돌출부들의 손상 기구가 다름을 확인하였다.

낙동강 모래의 실트함유량 변화에 따른 반복전단응력비 특성 (Characteristics of Cyclic Shear Stress Ratio by Silt Content for Nak-Dong River Sand)

  • 실트함유량 변화에 따른 낙동강 모래의 반복전단강도 특성을 살펴보고자 낙동강 유역에 분포하는 모래와 실트를 채취하여 실트함유량 0~50%의 범위로 실내에서 재성형된 실트질 모래시료에 대하여 일련의 비배수 반복삼축실험을 실시하였다. 실험 결과, 실트함유량 변화에 따른 반복횟수(N) 10에서의 반복전단응력비(CSR)는 모든 상대밀도에서 실트함유량 5%에서 최대였고, 20%에서 최소를 보였다. 반복비($N/N_L$)에 따른 간극수압비(${\Delta}u/p^{\prime}$) 관계로 부터 분석된 간극수압의 발달 경향은 실트함유량에 따른 CSR 크기변화와는 무관하였다. 압밀 후 간극비(e)와 skeleton 간극비($e_s$)를 비교해 본 결과, 전반적으로 실트함유량에 따른 CSR의 변화 경향과 일치하여 실트함유량에 따른 CSR은 실트질 모래의 전단거동에 영향을 미치는 모래만의 간극비인 skeleton 간극비($e_{s}$)에 큰 영향을 받는 것으로 나타났다.

전기점화기관에서 연소의 사이클 변화 측정 및 해석 (Measurement and analysis of the cyclic combustion variability in as SI engine)

  • An experimental study was carried out to investigate the characteristics of cyclic variability of combustion in a single cylinder spark ignition engine. Cylinder pressure of 240 consecutive cycles were measured for various engine operating conditions. From these data, a thermody-n amic analysis was performed for the typical cases in order to identify the cause and effect re -lation of the cyclic variation. In determining the number of cycles required for estimating the coefficient of variation of IMEP and so on, the oprating conditions must be cosidered to fit the objective of the analysis. It is thought that the variation in early flame stage is amplified through the flame propagation and results in the phase change between pressure and volume, which can be the major reason of cyclic variation of IMEP in case of lean operation.

Simulation of chloride penetration into concrete structures subjected to both cyclic flexural loads and tidal effects

  • Chloride induced corrosion is a concern that governs the durability of concrete structures in marine environments, especially in tidal environments. During the service lives of concrete structures, internal cracks in the concrete cover may appear due to imposed loads, accelerating chloride penetration because of the simultaneous action of environmental and service structural loads. This paper investigated the effects of cyclic flexural loads on chloride diffusion characteristics of plain concretes, and proposed a model to predict the chloride penetration into plain concretes subjected to both tidal environments and different cyclic flexural load levels. Further, a new experiment was performed to verify the model. Results of the model using Finite Difference Method (FDM) showed that the durability of concretes in tidal environments was reduced as cyclic flexural load levels, SR, increased, and the modeling results fitted well with the experimental results.

  • In the companion paper, the nonlinear consolidation of soft clays subjected to cyclic loading was analytically investigated. This paper reports the results of an experimental program conducted to verify some critical assumptions made in the analytical study. It, also, includes a numerical study carried out to examine the capability of the proposed theory to determine the consolidation characteristics of soft clays subjected to cyclic loading. Results show that the permeability of the soft clays does not significantly change during the cyclic loading. It is also shown that, compared to the Terzaghi's solution for a linear clay, the inherit nonlinearity of the clay tends to decrease the degree of consolidation due to the smaller rate of dissipation in the excess pore water pressure.

반복크리프 특성을 이용한 피로하중을 받는 RC 보의 휨손상 연구 (A Study on the Flexural Damage of RC Beams Under Fatigue Loading Using A Cyclic Creep Characteristics)

  • The creep strain of the compression zone of concrete beams subjected to cyclic loading should be a significant factor in increasing strain and deflections. An analytical model which is similar to a previous one is presented to predict the increase in cyclic creep strain and the damage using the properties of the constituent materials: concrete and steel. The analytical expressions are compared with our experimental data. The effect of concrete-creep is accounted by the term En, Icr,n, and Mcr,n. In this study, it is proved that cyclic creep exponents 'n' in Cyclic Creep Model, according to the parameters -strength, range of stress- have the various values. It is hoped that with the availability of more experimental data and better understanding of some of the complex behavior, the model could be further improved.
