라운딩 펀치에 의한 프레팅 상태에서의 균열 해석 (Crack Analysis under Fretting Condition by Rounded Punch)

  • Surface edge crack subjected to contact stresses is analysed. A punch with corner radii is considered to press the semi-infinite plane. Partial slip problem is solved when a shear force is applied to the punch. Dislocation density function method is used to solve the present mixed mode crack problem. The crack length of positive K1 is examined, which is affected by the ratio of the flat portion to the total width of the punch. Surface traction during one cycle of the shear force is evaluated to simulate the fretting condition. The compliance change of the contact surface is also investigated during the shear cycle. It is found that the crack grows during only a part of the cycle, which may be termed as effective period of crack growing. A design method for restraining the fretting failure is discussed, from which recommendable geometry of the punch is suggested.

  • Recorded injury identified the role of falls in producing injury througout all segments of the nation. The Economic and social costs arising from falls has been established in numerous sources, both nationally and from the intermational literature. Recorded injury also indicated the potential features of falls, the need for a basic understanding of the energy exchange mechanism involved and the subsequent rehabilitation processes required. It appears unlikely that any other major cause of injury has an etiology so little researched and consequently, so little understood, which in turn has prevented the development of an intervention strategy or a scientically based control technology of falls. This paper will emphasize how the postural changes of foot are related to slip/fall severity in different environmental conditions. Lidewise, we will examine the whole slip/fall cycle through the biomechanical parameters involved in a range of walking speed and floor slipperiness

Quality Assessment of GPS L2C Signals and Measurements

  • A series of numerical experiments with measurements observed at continuously operating reference stations (CORS) of the international GNSS services (IGS) and the national geographical information institute of Korea (NGII) have been intensively carried out to evaluate the quality of pseudo-ranges and carrier-phases of GPS L2C signal obtained by various receiver types, benign and harsh operational environment. In this analysis, some quality measures, such as signal-to-noise ratio (SNR), the magnitude of multipath, and the number of cycle slips, the pseudo-range and carrier phase obtaining rate were computed and compared. The SNR analysis revealed an impressive result that the trend in the SNR of C/A and the L2C comparably depends upon type of receivers. The result of multipath analysis also showed clearly different tendency depending on the receiver types. The reason for this inconsistent tendency was seemed to be that the different multipath mitigation algorithm built-in each receiver. The number of L2C cycle slip was less than P2(Y), and L2C measurements obtaining rate was higher than that of P2(Y) in three receiver types. In the harsh observational environment, L2C quality was not only superior to P2(Y) in all aspects such as SNR, multipath magnitude, the number of cycle slips, and measurement obtaining rate, but also it could maintain a level of quality equivalent to C/A. According to the results of this analysis, it's expected that improved positioning performance like accuracy and continuity can be got through the use of L2C instead of existing P2(Y).

오스테나이트계 Fe-25Mn-Al-0.5C강의 피로성질에 미치는 Al 첨가의 영향 (Effect of Al Addition on Fatigue Properties of Austenitic Fe-25Mn-Al-0.5C steels)

  • The effect of Al addition on the fatigue properties of austenitic Fe-25Mn-Al-0.5C steels was studied. When Al was not added to the Fe-25Mn 0.5C steel, the strain induced ${\varepsilon}$ martensites, deformation twins and slip bands were formed during fatigue deformation. When 2wt% of Al was added to the steel, the deformation twins and slip bands were formed during fatigue deformation. When 5wt% of Al was added, only slip bands were formed. In low cycle fatigue test, the alloys containing 0wt% and 2wt%Al showed the cyclic hardening due to ${\varepsilon}$ martensites and deformation twins, resulting in shorter fatigue lives than the alloy containing 5wt%Al. In fatigue crack propagation test, the alloy without Al showed the highest crack propagation rate. The fracture surface of the alloy without Al was flat, whereas that of the alloy with 2% or 5%Al was rough. The ${\Delta}K_{th}$, values of the alloys with 0%, 2% and 5%Al were 16, 17.5, and $20.5MPam^{1/2}$, respectively.

  • 고주기 피로조건에서 응력진폭은 항복점이하의 응력이므로 변형은 일반적으로 탄성적이다. 만약 변형이 완전히 탄성적이라면 피로는 생겨나지 않을 것이다. 그러나 이는 항복점의 개념과 항복점 아래에서의 순수탄성변형의 가정을 과도하게 단순화한 것이다. 인장실험 시 시편 전체가 파괴 절차를 따르는 반면, 고주기 피로실험에서는 국부적 영구 슬립띠가 파괴절차를 따른다. 그러나 두 경우에서 파괴 전변형영역의 단위체적 당 변형의 축적은 두 재료가 동일하기 때문에 국부적으로 동일하다. 미소 소성변형이나 Luders band, 탄성영역에서의 인장실험곡선의 기울기변화는 재료속에 포함된 경도가 높은 침입형 또는 침탄형 원자의 구름에 기인한다. 이들이 구름운동(Rolling movement)을 일으켜 다음 격자로 이동하면 소성변형이 발생되는 반면, 완전히 구르지 못하고 제자리로 되돌아오는 운동을 반복하는 경우가 바로 피로한계인다.

Analysis of dry friction hysteresis in a cable under uniform bending

  • A cable is considered as a system of helical wires and a core with distributed dry friction forces at their interfaces. Deformations of the cable subjected to a uniform bending are analyzed. It is shown that there is a critical bending curvature when a slip at the wire-core interface occurs. It originates at the neutral axis of the cross section of the cable and then spreads symmetrically over the cross section with the increase of bending. The effect of slippage on the cable stiffness is investigated. This model is also used to analyze a cable under the quasi-static cyclic bending. Explicit expression for the hysteretic losses per cycle of bending is derived. Numerical examples are given to show the influence of dry friction and helix angle on the bending stiffness and hysteretic losses in the cable.

장섬유로 보강된 세라믹 복합재료에서 섬유파단이 마찰일에 미치는 영향 (Influence of Fiber Breaks on the Frictional Work in a Continuous Fiber-Reinforced Ceramic Matrix Composite)

  • Theoretical equations for an influence of fiber breaks on the frictional heating phenomenon in a uniaxially fiber-reinforced ceramic matrix composite are formulated. The microslip and gross slip phases are considered for deriving the equations. During a complete loading/unloading cycle, the work done against friction is derived. In order to estimate interfacial shear in a unidirectionally reinforced ceramic matrix composite which has fiber fractures as well as matrix cracks, parametric studies using the derived equations are done. In a case of less than 10% fiber fractures, additional frictional work due to fiber breaks can be neglected compared to the rest.

  • 본 논문에서는 효율적인 제어를 위하여 캡슐 앤도스코피에 대한 모델링을 실시하였다. 방법론적으로 루그레 모델에 대한 시스템 특성파악을 위한 수학적 모델링을 이용하였다. 비선형 마찰 모델인 루그레 모델에 바탕을 둔 stick-slip 모션 시스템이 인체내에서의 캡슐 앤도스코피의 활동을 묘사하는 시뮬레이션 모델로 이용하였다. 다양한 상황을 고려하여 루그레 마찰모델에 대한 시뮬레이션을 Matlab Simulink 를 작성하여 수행하였다. 전체적인 모션과 파라미터의 영향이 엔도스코피의 속도에 미치는 영향에 대한 것에 주안을 두어 실시하였다.

Influence of high-cycle fatigue on the tension stiffening behavior of flexural reinforced lightweight aggregate concrete beams

  • The objective of this study was to experimentally investigate the bond-related tension stiffening behavior of flexural reinforced concrete (RC) beams made with lightweight aggregate concrete (LWAC) under various high-cycle fatigue loading conditions. Based on strain measurements of tensile steel in the RC beams, fatigue-induced degradation of tension stiffening effects was evaluated and was, compared to reinforced normal weight concrete (NWC) beams with equal concrete compressive strengths (40 MPa). According to applied load-mean steel strain relationships, the mean steel strain that developed under loading cycles was divided into elastic and plastic strain components. The experimental results showed that, in the high-cycle fatigue regime, the tension stiffening behavior of LWAC beams was different from that of NWC beams; LWAC beams had a lesser reduction in tension stiffening due to a better bond between steel and concrete. This was reflected in the stability of the elastic mean steel strains and in the higher degree of local plasticity that developed at the primary flexural cracks.

견실한 비선형 마찰보상 이산제어 - 이론 (Robust Digital Nonlinear Friction Compensation - Theory)

  • This paper suggests a new non-linear friction compensation for digital control systems. This control adopts a hysteresis nonlinear element which can introduce the phase lead of the control system to compensate the phase delay comes from the inherent time delay of a digital control. A proper Lyapunov function is selected and the Lyapunov direct method is used to prove the asymptotic stability of the suggested control.
