In addition, many researches have represented that interaction and high motivation are very critical factors in order to improve students' motivation and teaching effectiveness in online learning and education. Therefore, it is very meaningful for students and educators that motivation and effectiveness are observed by positive expectation and interaction satisfaction in their online counseling courses. For this study, two important instruments are used: Modified Short Forms of Instructional Materials Motivation Survey and Student Evaluation of Online Teaching Effectiveness. Results show that high expected students who are satisfied with interaction indicate higher motivation and evaluation on the online teaching effectiveness than low expected students who are not satisfied with interaction.

  • Cyber-university has a higher rate of dropout freshmen due to various educational factors, such as social background, economic factors, IT knowledge, and IT utilization ability than students in twenty offline-based university. These students require a different dropout prevention method and improvement method than offline-based universities. This study examined the main factors affecting dropout during the first semester of 2017 and 2018 A Cyber University. This included management and counseling factors by the 'Decision Tree Analysis Model'. The Management and counseling factors were presented as a decision-making method and weekly methods. As a result, a 'Dropout Improvement Model' was implemented and applied to cyber-university freshmen in the first semester of 2019. The dropout-rate in freshmen applying the 'Dropout Improvement Model' decreased by 4.2%, and the learning-persistence rate increased by 11.4%. This study applied a questionnaire survey, and the cyber-university students LMS (Learning Management System) learning results were analyzed objectively. On the other hand, the students' learning results were analyzed quantitatively, but qualitative analysis was not reflected. Nevertheless, further study is necessary. The 'Dropout Improvement Model' of this study will be applied to help improve the dropout rate and learning persistence rate of cyber-university.

  • This study analyzed the effect of family meals on the psychological problems of children. We performed focus group interviews (FGI) on the basic characteristics of family meals, and chose several scales (such as Child Behavior Checklist (CBCL), self-esteem, and a daily hassles questionnaire), to measure the psychological variables. We collected data from 442 dyads (mother-child) and used 440 from dyads. In our results, the frequency of family meals affected the psychological problems of children, especially aggression and emotional instability. The atmosphere during meals also affected depression/anxiety, concentration difficulties, emotional instability, self-esteem, peer relationships, and sociality. There were significant correlations between meal atmosphere, family bonding, maternal personality, and psychological problems of children. We performed covariation analysis to examine and control the influence of family bonding and maternal personality; despite controlling for these variables, family meals still influenced children's psychological problems. We conclude that the family meal is a significant variable that impacts the emotional and behavioral problems of children and stress the importance of frequent family meals.

  • Emotional labor is the process of regulating feelings or emotions and expressing them in the way that fulfill job requirement. There have been many studies about characteristics or related variables of service workers' emotional labor, but are few studies comparing emotional labor between service workers and non-service workers. Therefore we are to examine the differences of emotional labor among the different types of workers. And as depression and lowered quality of life are well known negative consequences of emotional labor, we also intend to study the relationship between depression, quality of life, and emotional labor. Data were collected from 125 sales workers, and 186 cyber university full time students. And as to assure the student participants to be non-service workers, we limited the participant job as administrator, soldier or housewife. To compare differences of groups, one-way ANOVA was performed with Fisher's LSD as post hoc comparison. On overload in customer reception, service workers showed significantly higher scores, and on demand of emotional regulation/emotional dissonance/depression, both service workers and housewives showed significantly higher scores. Also analysis of multiple regression was performed, and the result showed that, emotional dissonance increased depression but decreased quality of life, while support/care increased quality of life, but decreased depression. With the result, implications and limitations of this study were discussed.

  • This study analyzed the relationship of socially prescribed perfectionism, academic burnout, academic stress, and academic procrastination. In addition, this study examined whether academic stress/procrastination has a mediating effect on the relationship between socially prescribed perfectionism and academic burnout. Data was collected from 283 cyber university students and analyzed using the correlation and structural equation model. The results showed that, socially prescribed perfectionism was positively correlated with academic stress and burnout, academic stress was correlated with academic procrastination and burnout, and academic procrastination was also correlated with academic burnout. Using the result of structural equation model analysis, socially prescribed perfectionism was found to enhance academic burnout through academic stress, or increase academic procrastination through academic stress, then resulted in academic burnout. This result suggested that to prevent academic burnout in a socially prescribed perfectionist, it is essential to lower their level of academic stress and prevent them from procrastination.

  • The researcher designed and applied the cyber consultation system by making use of high-speed information networks and getting away from the established face-to-face consultation patterns in our society. The system is characterized by the means of communications to hold consultation with interviewees which enables us to feel free to converse with students in trouble and to more actively engage in interaction with the help of client-centered system. And it can also be used to help clients to change their attitudes towards consultation by relieving them of distrust, dislike and vague anxiety and to take active part in consultation. The established on-line consultation websites fail to continue consultation due to being able to hold secret consultation through e-mails. In this context, the researcher has produced the cyber consultation system to continuously hold various kinds of consultation including closed consultation between consultants and interviewees with the help of web servers where individual homepages are used.

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of SNS addiction tendency and social support on cyber violence among college students. Data collection was conducted through a structured questionnaire for 330 college students and analyzed through SPSS 18.0 program. As a result of the analysis, SNS addiction tendency was low as $1.81{\pm}0.55$, social support was $4.00{\pm}0.78$ and cyber violence was $1.38{\pm}0.59$. There was a significant positive correlation between SNS addiction tendency and SNS posting frequency, and there was a significant negative correlation between social support and grade. Cyber violence increased as the tendency of SNS addiction increased, as social support decreased, and cyber violence decreased in the second and third graders compared to the first grade. For this purpose, it is necessary to strengthen cyber education and group counseling program suitable for college students and it will be necessary to make effort to raise self - control.

  • Background: The purpose of this study is to investigate whether peer attachment serves as a positive emotional resource for children who have experienced school violence and cyber violence victimization. In addition, we aim to present alternative programs to reduce school violence and promote positive peer attachment among children. Design: We utilized data from the 13th year(2020) of the Panel Study on Korean Children for this study. Methods: The survey was conducted through a questionnaire administered by surveyors, and the total number of cases was 1,357. Results: First, the effects of school violence and cyber violence victimization experiences were confirmed. Second, it can be inferred that children with isolation in peer relationships may ultimately be more vulnerable to cyber violence victimization, as their interactions in cyberspace may also be undermined, highlighting the potential impact of social relationships on cyber violence victimization. Third, it can be observed that children with high levels of peer attachment are emotionally stable, even when exposed to school violence and cyberviolence victimization, which may enable them to regulate the degree of victimization they experience. Conclusion: School violence experience and cyber violence experience interact with each other, and in this relationship, positive peer attachment is a positive resource. Therefore, it emphasizes the importance of the relationship between friends in preventing and overcoming school violence and provides suggestions for solutions based on this understanding.
