  • 본 연구에서는 만타 형상 무인잠수정(Manta-type unmanned underwater test vehicle)의 제어 성능 평가를 하였다. PID제어, Fuzzy 제어가 적용되었으며, 6자유도 운동을 사용하여 Matlab Simulink로 시뮬레이션 프로그램을 구성하였다. 설계된 제어기로 수심 및 방위제어에 사용되었으며 조류의 외란 하에서의 제어 성능을 평가하였다.

  • The autopilot system targets decreasing labor, working environment, service safety security and elevation of service efficiency. Ultimate purpose is minimizing number of crew for guarantee economical efficiency of shipping service. Recently, being achieving research about Course Keeping Control, Track Keeping Control, Roll-Rudder Stabilization, Dynamic ship Positioning and Automatic Mooring Control etc. which compensate nonlinear characteristic using optimizing control technique. And application research is progressing using real ship on actual field. Relation of Rudder angle which adjusted by Steering Machine and ship-heading angle are non-linear. And, Load Condition of ship acts as non-linear element that influence to Parameter of ship. Also, because the speed of a current and direction of waves, velocity and quantity of wind etc. that id disturbance act in non-linear form, become factor who make service of shipping painfully. Therefore, service system of shipping requires robust control algorithm that can overcome nonlinearity. In this paper, Using GA algorithm,design autopilot system of ship that could overcome the non-linear factor of ship and disturbance and examined result through simulation.

  • A transceiver for ADSL systems contains an interpolated combfilter, halfband filters, oversampling sigma delta modulator, a current steering DAC and an analog filler. The circuit complexity of the architecture makes it necessary to use behavioral models to determine the system features. For this reason, we need a specific behavioral simulation environment using the Matlab program. The Matlab is crucial for these circuits to be rapidly incorporated in larger systems, in particular in the context of mixed-signal-test schemes. Design trade-off among the blocks has also been discussed. The design methodology is based on behavioral design and CMOS process.

  • First for high-qualify images and reducing process-error and driving speed, the designed 8-bit data driving circuit consists of a constant transconductance bias circuit, D-F/Fs by shift registers using static transmission gates, 1st latch and 2nd latch by tristate inverters, level shifters, current steering segmented D/A converters by 4MSB thermometer decoder and 4LSB weighted type. Second, we designed gray amp for power saving. These data driving circuits are designed with $0.35-{\mu}m$ CMOS technologies at 3.3 V and 18 V power supplies and simulated with HSPICE.

  • A novel InGaAsP/InP buried-ridge waveguide laser diode structure is proposed and demonstrated for use as a single-mode laser. The lateral mode of the proposed device can be controlled by adjusting the composition and thickness of the InGaAsP layer grown over the active region. Stable single-mode operation without kinks or beam-steering is achieved successfully with lateral and transverse in the junction plane even for the device with the ridge width of 9 ${\mu}m$ up to an injection current of 500 mA.

  • 브러시리스 DC 전동기(BLDCM)는 일반적으로 $120[^{\circ}]$ 구형파 전압을 인가하여 구동하며 속도 제어를 위하여 2상 PWM 형태의 펄스로 이를 인가한다. 본 논문은 네 가지 PWM 방법을 이용한 BLDCM 제어 시스템을 소개하고, 2차원 시간차분 유한요소법을 이용하여 각 PWM 방식에 따른 전동기 성능 특성을 해석하고 비교한다. 또한 제안한 해석 기법의 타당성을 입증하기 위하여 BLDCM 시작기를 제작, 실험을 통하여 해석치와 실험치를 비교한다.

  • In this paper, we propose a simulator for testing of the Navigation Control System(NCS) in Bimodal-tram. NCS uses values of all sorts of sensors installed in vehicle to decide current position, and to control speed and steering of vehicle to go to a next position. Major functions of simulator are input processing of the driver and generation of virtual sensor data and driving profile(navigation path, magnetic information), and the NCS function. Virtual sensor data is generated according to output data from the NCS, driving profile and input processing of the driver, and monitoring systems is operated separatedly to confirm of NCS operation. This paper discusses about the implementation of the simulator, and analyzes and evaluates the simulation results.

Accurate Simulation of a Shallow-etched Grating Antenna on Silicon-on-insulator for Optical Phased Array Using Finite-difference Time-domain Methods

  • We present simulation methods to accurately determine the transmission efficiency and far-field patterns (FFPs) of a shallow-etched waveguide grating antenna (WGA) formed on a silicon-on-insulator wafer based on the finite-difference time-domain (FDTD) approach. The directionality and the FFP of a WGA with >1-mm in length can be obtained reliably by simulating a truncated WGA structure using a three-dimensional FDTD method and a full-scale WGA using a two-dimensional FDTD with the effective index method. The developed FDTD methods are applied to the simulation of an optical phased array (OPA) composed of a uniformly spaced WGA array, and the steering-angle dependent transmission efficiency and FFPs are obtained in OPA structures having up to 128-channel WGAs.

  • A navigation system is one of the important components of an unmanned ground vehicle (UGV). A GPS receiver collects data signals transmitted by (Earth orbiting) satellites. However, these data signals may contain many errors resulting misinformation and depending on one's position (environment), reception may be impossible. The proposed self-driven algorithm uses three low-cost GPS in order to minimize errors of existing inexpensive single GPS's driving algorithm. By using reliable final data, which is analyzed and combined from each of three GPS's received data signals, gathering a vehicle's steering performance information and its current pin-point position is improved even with error containing signals or from a place where signal gathering is impossible. The purpose of this thesis is to explain navigation system algorithm using multiple GPS and compass sensor and prove the algorithm through experiments.

  • This paper suggests an example of modification of the durability test specifications of electronic control unit for an automotive system in phase of design validation. The basic concept to redefine the specifications of durability test is based on the Arrhenius relationship for accelerated temperature test and the modified Coffin-Manson model for temperature cycle test. The ambient temperature of the powered-event durability test is increased to reduce the required test time of the current specification. Furthermore, the holding time between the events to cool down the temperature of the components is shortened and the resultant temperature rise affects the durability of the components. Thus, the acceleration factor due to the increased temperature range of temperature cycle is also estimated by the modified Coffin-Manson model.
