Stream Control Transmission Protocol(SCTP) is a new connection-oriented, reliable delivery transport protocol operating on top of an unreliable connectionless packet service such as IP. It inherits many of the functions developed for TCP, including flow control and packet loss recovery functions. In addition, it also supports transport layer multihoming and multistreaming In this paper, we study the impact of multi-homing on the performance of SCTP. We first compare performance of single-homed SCTP. multi-homed SCTP, TCP Reno and TCP SACK. We, then describe potential flaw in the current SCTP retransmission policy, when SCTP host is multihomed. Our Results show that SCTP performs better than TCP Reno and TCP SACK due to several changes from TCP in its congestion control mechanism. In particular. multi-homed SCTP shows the best result among the compared schemes. Through experimentation for multi-homed SCTP, we found that the current SCTP retransmission policy nay deteriorate the perfomance when the retransmission path it worse than the original path. Therefore, the condition of retransmission path is a very important factor In SCTP performance and a proper mechanism would be required to measure the condition of the retransmission path.

As the structure of a construction, such as a building and a shopping mall, becomes more wide and complex, it is difficult for an user to find out a path to a desginated destination. However, since the existing navigation systems exploit the Global Positioning System in order to measure a current position, it is impossible to be used on the indoor environment. To solve this problem, we propose an indoor navigation system using beacon signal. The proposed system connects to a pre-installed beacon exploiting bluetooth on the user's smartphone. After receiving the data of the beacon, the system generates and displays a path based on the destination which the user put on and the current position measured by the beacon's data. The implemented indoor navigation system has the benefit to show the path to the destination easily at the complex indoor structure.

At the computer games, we can experience a variety of environments using a virtual object. It is similar to that be trained in War-game simulator of the defense. Actual soldiers and a computer-generated virtual group(Computer Generated Force: CGF) in 3-D virtual battlefield environment are training. However, path finding algorithm, one of the techniques of simulation models, to the current level only considers the shortest time path. So, this current level at the special situation of the army in the battlefield for selecting the optimal path is limited. The focus of this paper is to select the least-cost path using the deadline with several different mission conditions(METT+TC). For the only shortest time path algorithm and the least-cost path algorithm using dealine,($d_t$, one of METT+TC elements), Its usefulness is verifying the change of the move spent time(t) for all possible paths and the fighting power of the combat troops(Troops ability, a) through a comparison of the total cost of moves(c(t)). According to the results, when considering the deadline, the proposed algorithm saves about 62.5% of the maximum cost.

This paper has analyzed the change of threshold voltage and conduction path for the ratio of top and bottom gate oxide thickness of asymmetric double gate MOSFET. The asymmetric double gate MOSFET has the advantage that the factor to be able to control the current in the subthreshold region increases. The analytical potential distribution is derived from Poisson's equation to analyze the threshold voltage and conduction path for the ratio of top and bottom gate oxide thickness. The Gaussian distribution function is used as charge distribution. This analytical potential distribution is used to derive off-current and subthreshold swing. By observing the results of threshold voltage and conduction path with parameters of bottom gate voltage, channel length and thickness, projected range and standard projected deviation, the threshold voltage greatly changed for the ratio of top and bottom gate oxide thickness. The threshold voltage changed for the ratio of channel length and thickness, not the absolute values of those, and it increased when conduction path moved toward top gate. The threshold voltage and conduction path changed more greatly for projected range than standard projected deviation.
For many applications of $ReBa_2Cu_3O_{7-x}$ (ReBCO) tapes it is needed to know the anisotropic properties of the used conductor in a broad range of magnetic field. In this paper we present the results of transport measurements on the SuNAM tape (GdBaCuO) with the rotation of the sample in magnetic fields up to 5 T in liquid nitrogen. The critical current over the magnetic field orientation ($I_c({\theta})$) curves demonstrate the appearance of distinct second peak around c-axis in low fields. This peak almost vanishes in the fields over 3 T. The evolution of the ab-peak form is also presented: the peak consistently reduces its height with the magnetic field going up and in the high fields the shoulders rise, changing the type of the distribution. To describe experimental curves the vortex path model was applied to the angular distributions of the critical current in magnetic field. Good agreements of the experimental data with the analytical expressions were obtained that confirm the vortex path model approach.
In this paper, we developed the prototype of Car Navigation Information System which uses GPS to determine the current location. Car Navigation Information System is the one which can determine and display the current location and direction through the display monitor, search the destination point, calculate and check out the shortest path to the destination. The system we developed can determine the current location using GPS data, search the destination point in various ways, calculate the shortest path, serve the driver all the above mentioned data, and display the raster and vector data. To testify the system, we made the vectorized data about Taejeon area. Then we testified the system performance by installing the system to the notebook computer.

High-density crossbar arrays based on storage class memory (SCM) are ideally suited to handle an exponential increase in data storage and processing as a central hardware unit in the era of AI-based technologies. To achieve this, selector devices are required to be co-integrated with SCM to address the sneak-path current issue that indispensably arises in such crossbar-type architecture. In this perspective, we first summarize the current state of tellurium-based threshold-switching devices and recent advances in the material, processing, and device aspects. We thoroughly review the physicochemical properties of elemental tellurium (Te) and representative binary tellurides, their tailored deposition techniques, and operating mechanisms when implemented in two-terminal threshold switching devices. Lastly, we discuss the promising research direction of Te-based selectors and possible issues that need to be considered in advance.

Magnetostrictive actuators have seen increasing use in fine positioning system because it has many advantages such as friction free, resolution of ${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ or nm scale, and powerful output force. Usually, the magnetic circuit of magnetostrictive actuator has components which are flux return path, coil, and magnetostrictive material. It is classified in two types according to existence of the permanent magnet. The magnetic circuit having optimal performances transfer magnetic field which is obtained by providing input current at coil without energy loss. This paper described mathematical model of magnetic circuit for getting design variables. The modeling equation is obtained from the relations between flux and reluctance of the magnetic equivalent circuit. Also, finite element analysis has been used to study the performance of magnetic circuit according to change of design variables such as existence and shape of the permanent magnet, flux return path etc. The modification of dimensions enables us to optimize magnetic circuit.

Since most of the existing web cache structures are static, they cannot support the dynamic request change of he current WWW users well. Users re generally using multiple programs in several different windows with rapid preference change within a relatively short period of time. We develop a network-path based algorithm. It organizes a cache according to the network path of the requested URLs and build a network cache farm where caches are logically connected with each other and each cache has its own preference over certain network paths. The algorithm has been implemented and tested in a real site. The performance results show that the new algorithm outperforms the existing static algorithms in the hit ratio and response time dramatically.
Geometric mapping technique has been used to find the shape of initial blank for sheet forming. The method was chosen because of its simplicity and numerical efficiency. Error in blank shape were measured along deformation path by FE analysis of forming. Blank shape was modified by volume additionaddition/Subtractiontraction method with taking with taking into account of deformation path. Modified blank shape shows an acceptable result, showing the current method can be an useful tool for predicting blank shape in the practical application. More test will be done to verify the validity of the method.
