The AC drive systems of a voltage source inverter and an induction motor. The inverter non linearity caused by the turn on/off time dependency of the current level in the switching IGBT is described in the first part of this paper. To improve the low-speed drive characteristics, accurate applied voltage calculation is proposed under considerations of the compensations for the quantization error in the digital controller, the forward voltage drop of switching drives and the dead time of the inverter. The experimental studies show the improved drive characteristics.
In this paper, for high performance as drive, in the speed sensorless vector control of induction motor, introduced flux estimator of voltage model and error compensation algorithm using closed loop integration method, and then we proposed a improved flux estimation method of high accuracy. And the rotor speed is estimating using the stator current and the estimated flux, it is used speed information. The proposed scheme is verified through digital simulations and experiments for 3.7[kW] induction motor and shows good dynamic performance.
In low bit-rate video transmission, the payload of a single packet can often contain a whole coded frame due to the high compression ratio in both spatial and temporal domains of most modern video coders. Thus, the loss of a single packet not only causes the loss of a whole frame, but also produces error propagation into subsequent frames. In this paper, we propose a novel whole frame error concealment algorithm which reconstructs the first of the subsequent frames instead of the current lost frame to suppress the effects of error propagation. In the proposed algorithm, we impose a constraint which uses side match distortion (SMD) and overlapped region difference (ORD) to estimate motion vectors between the target reconstructed frame and its reference frame. SMD measures the spatial smoothness connection between a block and its neighboring blocks. ORD is defined as the difference between the correlated pixels which are predicted from one reference pixel. Experimental results show that the proposed algorithm effectively suppresses error propagation and significantly outperforms other conventional techniques in terms of both peak signal-to-noise ratio performance and subjective visual quality.

A threshold voltage compensation pixel circuit was developed for active-matrix organic light emitting diodes (AMOLEDs) using amorphous indium-gallium-zinc-oxide thin-film transistors (a-IGZO-TFTs). Oxide TFTs are n-channel TFTs; therefore, we developed a circuit for the n-channel TFT characteristics. The proposed pixel circuit was verified and proved by circuit analysis and circuit simulations. The proposed circuit was able to compensate for the threshold voltage variations of the drive TFT in AMOLEDs. The error rate of the OLED current for a threshold voltage change of 3 V was as low as 1.5%.
This paper proposes a new compensation algorithm for stator resistance that is crucial for improving the direct vector control performance of an induction motor. This algorithm is based on the flux estimator that is derived from the stator voltage equation. Since a flux estimator is dependent on the stator resistance, a flux error originates from the variation of the stator resistance. This parameter mismatch in the estimator thereafter affects the flux and torque response. Accordingly, a new compensator has been designed to offset this degradation in the responses. The proposed compensator is very simple to implement and does not require any modifications to the motor model or any special interruptions of the controller. The value of the stator resistance is attained in real time through measuring the terminal voltage and current. The effectiveness of the proposed scheme has been confirmed through both simulation and experimentation.

This paper proposes a combined fuzzy adaptive sliding-mode voltage controller (FASVC) for a three-phase UPS inverter. The proposed FASVC encapsulates two control terms: a fuzzy adaptive compensation control term, which solves the problem of parameter uncertainties, and a sliding-mode feedback control term, which stabilizes the error dynamics of the system. To extract precise load current information, the proposed method uses a conventional load current observer instead of current sensors. In addition, the stability of the proposed control scheme is fully guaranteed by using the Lyapunov stability theory. It is shown that the proposed FASVC can attain excellent voltage regulation features such as a fast dynamic response, low total harmonic distortion (THD), and a small steady-state error under sudden load disturbances, nonlinear loads, and unbalanced loads in the existence of the parameter uncertainties. Finally, experimental results are obtained from a prototype 1 kVA three-phase UPS inverter system via a TMS320F28335 DSP. A comparison of these results with those obtained from a conventional sliding-mode controller (SMC) confirms the superior transient and steady-state performances of the proposed control technique.
This paper presents a radiation-hardened-by-design preamplifier that utilizes a self-compensation technique with a charge-sensitive amplifier (CSA) and replica for total ionizing dose (TID) effects. The CSA consists of an operational amplifier (OPAMP) with a 6-bit binary weighted current source (BWCS) and feedback network. The replica circuit is utilized to compensate for the TID effects of the CSA. Two comparators can detect the operating point of the replica OPAMP and generate appropriate signals to control the switches of the BWCS. The proposed preamplifier was fabricated using a general-purpose complementary metal-oxide-silicon field effect transistor 0.18 ㎛ process and verified through a test up to 230 kGy (SiO2) at a rate of 10.46 kGy (SiO2)/h. The code of the BWCS control circuit varied with the total radiation dose. During the verification test, the initial value of the digital code was 39, and a final value of 30 was observed. Furthermore, the preamplifier output exhibited a maximum variation error of 2.39%, while the maximum rise-time error was 1.96%. A minimum signal-to-noise ratio of 49.64 dB was measured.
This paper proposes a PMSM torque control method considering DC-link voltage variation and friction torque. In general EV/HEV application, two dimensions look-up table(2D-LUT) is used for reference current generation due to its stable and robust torque control performance. Conventionally, this 2D-LUT is established by flux-torque table to overcome the DC-link voltage variation. However, the flux table establishment is more complex than the speed table establishment. Moreover, one flux data reflects several speed conditions in variable DC-link voltage, friction torque cannot be considered by using the flux table. In this paper, speed-torque 2D-LUT is used for current reference generation. With this table, PMSM torque control is well achieved regardless of DC-link voltage variation by the proposed control method. Simulation and experimental results validate improvement of torque control error through friction torque compensation.
