  • 하계나 추계에 시설재배 오이 생산에 있어서 고품질의 오이를 생산하기 위해서는 오이의 생육특성을 잘 알고, 시설의 형태, 재배양식 및 시설 내 위치에 따라서 생육이 진행되는 과정에서 어떻게 자랄지 예측하는 것은 재배자 입장에서 매우 중요한 정보가 될 것이다. 특히 시설재배에서는 일조부족, 저온, 수분조건 등의 급격한 변화가 나타나기 쉽기 때문에 이 같은 환경조건의 제어를 통한 관리가 고품질 다수확에 중요한 관건이라 할 수 있다. (중략)

Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. eustomae에 의한 꽃도라지 시들음병(가칭) 발생 (Occurrence of Fusarium Wilt on Lisianthus (Eustoma grandiflorum) Caused by Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. eustomae)

  • Fusarium wilt of lisianthus occurred severely throughout all cultivation areas, especially in alpoine areas during summer season and the disease incidence was 5 to 30 percent in Korea. The major symptoms of the disease were wilt with chlorosis and water deficiency, stunted plants and scorched leaves. Severe symptoms appeared just after high temperature period around late August in Daekwallyong area. Whit and pale red colored mycelia were developed on stems of infected plants near the soil surface. The causal organism of Fusarium wilt of lisianthus was isolated and identified as Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. eustomae on the basis of pathogenic and cultural characteristics. The causal organism was reisolated from all infected and inoculated stems of plants. This is the first report referring to F. oxysporum f. sp. eustomae of lisianthus in Korea.

천연기념물 포항 달전리 주상절리의 낙석 발생원인 (Cause of Rockfall at Natural Monument Pohang Daljeon-ri Columnar Joint)

  • 포항 달전리 주상절리(천연기념물 제415호)에서 발생하고 있는 낙석의 원인을 파악하기 위해 2018년 1월부터 2022년 8월까지 월별 모니터링과 3차원 스캔 측량, 전기 비저항탐사를 실시하였다. 약 5년간 주상절리대에서 떨어져 나온 낙석은 총 3,231개이며, 낙석의 크기(길이)는 20cm 이하가 1,521개(47%)로 가장 많고, 20~30cm는 978(30.3%), 30cm 이상은 732개(22.7%)가 발생하였다. 2018년부터 연도별 낙석 발생 개수는 감소하는 반면, 30cm 이상의 낙석 발생 빈도는 증가하는 경향을 보인다. 대규모의 낙석은 해빙기(3월~4월)와 장마기(6월~7월)에 주로 발생하였으며, 누적강우량과 낙석 발생 관계 분석에서 3~4일 간의 누적강우량도 낙석 발생에 밀접한 관계가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 주상절리 내의 사면물질(충진물)을 대상으로 한 XRD 분석에서 팽창성 점토광물인 스멕타이트와 일라이트가 관찰되었으며 전기비저항탐사에서 단층파쇄대가 존재하는 것이 확인되었다. 또한, 확인된 단층파쇄대와 3D 정밀측정을 통해 분석된 최대 침식지점이 무인카메라에서 관찰된 주 낙석 발생 지점과 일치하였다. 따라서 포항 달전리 주상절리의 낙석 발생 주요 원인은 내부요인(단층파쇄대와 절리의 발달, 암석의 풍화, 팽창성 점토광물의 존재)과 외부요인(강우량, 해빙기 급속한 융해현상)이 복합적으로 작용하여 대규모 낙석을 발생하는 것으로 판단된다. 반면, 일부에서 지속적으로 제기 되었던 포항-경주 지진은 주요 원인이 아님이 확인되었다.

  • Fashion is a field that responds sensitively to social and cultural atmospheres, brings about constant change due to consumer demand for new items in new fashion trends and in the latest design. The fashion industry tries to predict what kind of clothing the customers desires and produces fashion products according to trend information stated by fashion information services. This research analyses the relativity between the trends stated in the fashion information books and what consumer accept, and with this information find the application of trend information books in the planning of domestic woman's clothing. The used information books were based on Samsung Fashion Institute and Interfashion Planning, Inc. The 02/03 F/W season emphasized restoration-romantic, nostalgic mood themes. Fashion trend information and consumer acceptance condition tend to concentrate on trend themes given tv fashion information companies. In other words, $Sincere\;girl(39.04\%){\to}Frontier\;girl(34.92\%){\to}Dark\;lady(18.43\%){\to}Lady\;belle(7.59\%)$ in this order Also when looking into the consumer's wearing, no one theme appears by itself and the themes are mixed accordingly to one's lifestyle and sensibility. Accordingly fashion information organizations must provide precise fashion trends according to consumer sensibility & consumption and also compare trend information to consumer fashion trends each season. With this precise information the planned design plans will help the domestic fashion markets, which are gradually overrun by foreign brands, develop a unique and original fashion product that meets consumer sensitivity needs, and develop a new stepping stone for fashion companies and the relative fashion industry and furthermore contribute to the advancement of overseas markets.

간척지에서 수도 및 기타작물의 내염성에 관한 연구 12. 육묘와 수묘의 염분간척지에서의 내염성에 관하여 (Study on the Salt Tolerance of Rice and Other Crops in Reclaimed Soil Areas 12. On the Salt Tolerance of the Rice Seeldings Grown under the Land and Water Conditions in the Reclaimed Salty Areas)

  • The rice variety, Kwanok, was reared in the water and land beds and transplanted to the reclaimed soil area, having an average salt concentration of 0.39%. Two levels of the moderate and late season cultures with 4 treatments were used. The K and Si contents of the stem part of land bed seedlings were somewhat smaller, but total carbohydrate remarkably larger, the C/N ratio was accordingly greater than water bed seedlings. The rooting ability of land bed seedlings was vigorous markedly in culture solutions, to which added various concentrations of NaCl, The rooting ability of each seedling water not much declined in theculturing solution of up to 9.4mmhos/cm, (0.6%) of salt concentration, but it was drastically declined in the salt concentration over that. It seemed that the critical salt concentration for the rooting rice plant. The land bed seedlings in each salty condition markedly decreased compared with the water bed seeldings in transpiration rate and it showed a stronger drought resistance and contained a large amount of chlorophyll at transplanting stage, and also showed higher stability of chlorophyll at rooting stage in the salt treatment. The number of panicles, panicle weight, number of grains per panicle and ratio of matured grains of the rice plant grown by the land bed seedlings were much greater and 1,000 grain weight was less than from water bed seedlings. The cultural practices with the land bed seedlings increased the rough rice yields by 15% and 11%, respectively, compared with the yields of the moderate and late season cultures by water bed seedlings.

USGA 지반구조에서 한지형 잔디의 여름 고온기 적응력, 색상 및 연중 녹색 유지기간 비교 (Comparison of Summer Turf Performance, Color, and Green Color Retention among Cool-Season Grasses Grown under USGA Soil System)

  • Research was initiated to investigate turf performance under USGA soil system. USGA system 45 centimeters deep was built with rootzone layer, intermediate layer, and drainage layer. Six turfgrass entries were comprised of 3 blends and 3 mixtures from cool-season grasses (CSG). Turfgrass color and quality ratings were best in spring and fall, especially early May to early July and late August to early November. Kentucky bluegrass (KB) consistently produced the greatest performance, while perennial ryegrass (PR) the poorest. Intermediate turf performance between KB and PR was observed with tall fescue (TF). Among CSG mixtures it increased with KB but decreased with PR. There were considerable variations in summer turf Performance. No summer drought injury was found in KB and TF. However, PR showed poor performance through summer as compared with others. Among mixtures, it decreased with PR. It was suggested that PR mix in less than $20\%$ in the mixtures to have an acceptable quality in summer. Cultural intensity also affected it. With lowering mowing height, KB of rhizomatous-type in growth habit kept good quality, while PR and TF with bunch-type in growth habit poor quality. Mowing quality was greatly different among CSG. KB produced clean-cut surface, but PR unclean one. If had an intermediate mowing quality between KB and PR. A great difference in green color retention was observed among CSG. The longest CSG was PR that kept green for 339 days, while the shortest one TF for 267 days. KB continued to keep green for 290 days. The mixtures kept green in color for 292 to 315 days, depending on turfgrass mixing intensity. The greater the PR in content, the longer the green color duration. These results demonstrate that KB was the best and PR the worst among CSG grown in USGA system under a domestic climate, in regards of turf quality, color, mowing quality, summer turf performance and green color duration. KB and TF are most adequate for high-maintenance and low-maintenance area, respectively. In case of mixtures for high-quality turf, it was desirable to use KB-based mixture with PR of below $20\%$ in seeding rate.

방제방법이 땅콩뿌리혹선충 밀도와 참외 수량에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Control Methods on Yields of Oriental Melon in Fields Infested with Meloidogyne arenaria)

  • 참외 연작지에서 문제가 되는 뿌리혹선충의 효율적인 방제법을 구명하기 위하여, 땅콩뿌리혹선충이 감염된 성주과채류시험장 온실에서 실험을 실시하였다. 재배적 방제로는 참깨, 파, 옥수수 및 벼를 참외 심기 전에 윤작작물로 재배하였고, 물리적 방제는 건토, 태양열처리 및 객토였으며, 화학적 방제약제로는 forthizate 입제를 사용하였다. 방제효율은 방제 방법간 큰 차이가 있었는데, 벼 윤작, 태양열처리, 객토에서 방제효과가 가장 높아 뿌리혹선충 밀도는 90% 감소하였고 참외 수량은 무처리에 비해 2배 증수되었다. 그러나 이러한 처리구에서 선충밀도가 6월 이후 다시 증가하여 처리효과는 참외 한 작기에만 유효하였다. 다음으로 효과가 높은 것은 옥수수 윤작, 건토, forthizate 처리였다. Forthizate 처리는 초기 수량에서 유의한 증수 효과가 인정되었으나(P=0.05) 후기 수량과 전체 수량에서는 증수 효과가 없었다. 윤작작물로 참깨와 파는 선충 방제 효과가 없었다.

하전작물 품종 및 재배기술의 1962년 이후 변천 (Changes in Variety and Cultural Practices of Soybean, Sweet Potato and Corn Since 1962 in Korea)

  • Since 1962, varietal development and dissemination for summer upland crops have been actively initiated by the Crop Experiment Station, Office of Rural Development, Suweon, Korea. The major breeding objectives of soybeans have been to develop varieties which are early maturing, disease resistant, and adaptable to late planting for after-barley cropping. Development of eleven new soybean varieties including Hwangkeumkong, Jangyeobkong, Danyeobkong, and Kwangkyo has greatly increased the soybean yield throughout country. For com, after development of Hwangok #2, a synthetic, in early 1960's, nine corn hybrids-single crosses, double-crosses, and three-way crosses-such as Jecheon-ok, Hoengseong-ok, Kwangok, Suweon #19, etc., have been disseminated mainly to Kangweon province, a major corn producing area in Korea, and drew up the yield over 4 tons per hectare. The major breeding objectives of sweet potato have been to develop varieties which have high starch content and root yield. Hwangmi, Hongmi, and Shinmi are three sweet potato varieties developed and disseminated by the Crop Experiment Station, Office of Rural Development and are grown most widely in Korea. Most of researches on cultural practices of upland crops have begun on a full scale from early 1960's. In soybeans, for example, no fertilizer but for barley was applied although the effects of phosphate and potassium fertilizers were great on soybeans in after-barley soybean croppings. The effects of heavy application of phosphate and calcium fertilizers on soybeans in newly reclaimed soils were recognized. Recently a mixed fertilizer for soybean (N; 40, P:70, K:60 kg/㏊) was developed and sold for soybean growers. The optimum planting densities of 220, 000 plants/ha in full-season cropping and 330, 000 pts/ha in after-barley cropping of soybeans were known from repeated experiments. For higher yield, a means of cultural practices such as transplanting-pinching, direct planting-pinching, and hilling-up, etc., were developed along with barley-stubble planting with no tillage and integrated herbicide application for labour savings. For sweet potato, cultural practices for planting date, harvesting date, fertilizer, and planting density were fully established. For early marketing, a technique of vinyl-mulching on sweet potato has also fully developed. For com, planting density of 37, 000 pts/ha in early 1960's has been changed to 55, 000 pts/ha for grain production and 67, 000 pts/ha for silage. The amounts of fertilizers have also been changed from 120-120-120kg/ha (N-P-K) in early 1960s to 180-150-150 kg/ha. These increases in number of plants per unit area and fertilizer levels have resulted in greater production for both grain and silage. At the same time, the production techniques of F1 seeds have also improved.

서산마애삼존불상의 정밀 손상도 평가와 보존환경 분석 (Detailed Deterioration Evaluation and Analysis of Conservation Environment for the Seosanmaaesamjonbulsang (Rock-carved Triad Buddha in Seosan), Korea)

  • 서산마애삼존불상(국보 제84호)을 이루는 암석은 담회색을 띠는 중립질 흑운모 화강암이며 부분적으로 페그마타이트 및 석영 세맥이 관찰된다. 삼존불이 조각된 암반은 전면에 걸쳐 불규칙적인 불연속면의 발달로 크기와 모양이 다양한 암괴를 형성하고 있으며, 암반 사면의 안정성이 취약한 것으로 나타났다. 훼손도 진단 결과, 수직 및 수평 절리가 밀집된 부분을 중심으로 물리적 풍화와 표면변색에 의해 훼손이 가중된 상태를 보인다. 이를 삼존불의 전체 면적대비 훼손율 42.7%에 비교했을 때, 물리적 풍화는 9.6%, 변색은 33.1%로 변색에서 높은 점유율을 보였다. 초음파 측정 결과, 삼존불은 전반적으로 심한 풍화단계(HW)에 있으며 삼존불에 발달하고 있는 불규칙한 절리계를 따라 약 1,000m/s의 저속도대가 분포하여 구성 암석이 약화된 것을 알 수 있다. 삼존불 보호각 내외부의 상대습도는 사계절 모두 평균 70% 이상을 기록하며, 95% 이상의 고습도 영역에서 높은 빈도수를 나타냈다. 이 고습도 환경은 강수와 함께 암석 표면에 결로를 발생시켜 수분을 공급하며 수분의 침투와 함수율이 높은 균열 및 절리대를 따라 물리적, 화학적, 생물학적 풍화를 진전시키는 것으로 사료된다. 따라서 삼존불의 과학적 보존을 위해 수분문제를 비롯하여 지속적인 보존환경 모니터링을 통한 환경제어 방안이 필요할 것으로 판단된다.

직파재배(直播栽培)로의 양식(樣式) 전환(轉換)에 따른 논 잡초문제(雜草問題)의 변화(變化) (Change in Weed Problems as Influenced by Transition of Cultural Pattern into Direct Seeding)

  • 우리 나라의 벼 재배형태(栽培形態)는 단기적(短期的)으로 많이 변하고 있으며, 특히 재배시기(栽培時期)는 빨라지며 시비량(施肥量)이 증대(增大)되었다. 논에서 잡초발생(雜草發生)은 재배시기(栽培時期)가 빠르고 직파(直播)함에 따라 잡초발생(雜草發生)이 많으며, 직파(直播)에서도 산파(散播)보다 조파(條播)에서 많았다. 직파(直播)에서는 물관리(管理)를 포화상태(飽和狀態)로 유지(維持)하는 것이 심수관개(深水灌漑) 보다 잡초발생량(雜草發生量)이 많고 잡초발생(雜草發生) 구성(構成)도 포화상태(飽和狀態)의 관리(管理)가 다년생(多年生) 잡초(雜草)의 발생(發生)을 줄이고 일년생(一年生) 잡초(雜草)의 발생(發生)을 촉진(促進) 증대(增大)시켰다. 재배형태(栽培形態)가 이앙재배(移秧栽培)에서 직파재배(直播栽培)를 함에 따라 다년생(多年生) 잡초(雜草)의 비율(比率)이 낮아지고 일년생(一年生) 잡초(雜草)의 발생(發生)이 종류(種類)나 량(量)에서 크게 높아졌다. 직파재배(直播栽培)에서 잡초(雜草)의 경합력(競合力)은 커서 초장(草長)의 경우는 생육기간(生育期間)동안 계속 벼보다 컸으며, 이에 따라 벼는 전체(全體) 군락(群落)의 중하부(中下部)에 위치(位置)하고 있었다. 따라서 이앙재배(移秧栽培)보다 직파재배시(直播栽培時) 잡초(雜草)의 문제(問題)는 매우 컸으며, 또한 잡초발생(雜草發生)의 양상(樣相)이 어느 특정재배(特定栽培) 조건(條件)에 따라서 크게 차이(差異)가 있고 변화(變化)될 수 있어 현재(現在)와 같은 단순(單純)한 잡초방제(雜草防除) 체계(體系)로는 잡초문제(雜草問題)를 해결(解決)하기 어려울 것으로 판단(判斷)된다.
