More and richer information sources and services are available on the web everyday. However, harmful information, such as adult content, is not appropriate for all users, notably children. Since internet is a worldwide open network, it has a limit to regulate users providing harmful contents through each countrie's national laws or systems. Additionally it is not a desirable way of developing a certain system-specific classification technology for harmful contents, because internet users can contact with them in diverse ways, for example, porn sites, harmful spams, or peer-to-peer networks, etc. Therefore, it is being emphasized to research and develop context-based core technologies for classifying harmful contents. In this paper, we propose an efficient text filter for blocking harmful texts of web documents using context-based technologies and examine which algorithms for feature selection, the process that select content terms, as features, can be useful for text categorization in all content term occurs in documents, are suitable for classifying harmful contents through implementation and experiment.
Worldwide inter-operability for microwave access (WiMAX) is a promising technology that provides high data throughput with low delays for various user types and modes of operation. While much research had been conducted on physical and MAC layers, little attention has been paid to a comprehensive and efficient security solution for WiMAX. We propose a hybrid security solution combining identity-based cryptography (IBC) and certificate based approaches. We provide detailed message exchange steps in order to achieve a complete security that addresses the various kind of threats identified in previous research. While attaining this goal, efficient fusion of both techniques resulted in a 53% bandwidth improvement compared to the standard's approach, PKMv2. Also, in this hybrid approach, we have clarified the key revocation procedures and key lifetimes. Consequently, to the best of knowledge our approach is the first work that unites the advantages of both techniques for improved security while maintaining the low overhead forWiMAX.

In this paper, we propose a security architecture for HDLC-based T4 class common data link. The common data links are composed of point-to-point, multi-to-point, and point-to-multi mode. For multi-to-point mode, one node has a bundle of point-to-point links with different end-point on the other side of the links. Thus multi-to-point mode can be considered as a bundle of point-to-point mode. Point-to-multi mode is broadcasting link. For point-to-point mode we adopted robust security network scheme to establish a secure data link, and for multi-to-point mode we use broadcast encryption scheme based on ID-based cryptography to distribute encryption key for broadcasting message encryption. We also included MACsec technology for point-to-point data link security. Computational and communicational complexity analysis on the broadcast encryption have been done.
Key agreement protocol is a fundamental protocol in cryptography whereby two or more participants can agree on a common conference key in order to communicate securely among themselves. In this situation, the participants can securely send and receive messages with each other. An adversary not having access to the conference key will not be able to decrypt the messages. In this paper, we propose a novel identity-based authenticated multi user key agreement protocol employing a symmetric balanced incomplete block design. Our protocol is built on elliptic curve cryptography and takes advantage of a kind of bilinear map called Weil pairing. The protocol presented can provide an identification (ID)-based authentication service and resist different key attacks. Furthermore, our protocol is efficient and needs only two rounds for generating a common conference key. It is worth noting that the communication cost for generating a conference key in our protocol is only O($\sqrt{n}$) and the computation cost is only O($nm^2$), where $n$ implies the number of participants and m denotes the extension degree of the finite field $F_{p^m}$. In addition, in order to resist the different key attack from malicious participants, our protocol can be further extended to provide the fault tolerant property.

In public key cryptography such as RSA, modular exponentiation is the most time-consuming operation. RSA's modular exponentiation can be computed by repeated modular multiplication. To attain high efficiency for RSA, fast modular multiplication algorithms have been proposed to speed up decryption/encryption. Montgomery multiplication is limited by the carry propagation delay from the addition of long operands. In this paper, we propose a hardware structure that reduces the area of the Montgomery multiplication implementation for lightweight applications of RSA. Experimental results showed that the new design can achieve higher performance and reduce hardware area. A frequency of 884.9MHz and 250MHz were achieved with 84K and 56K gates respectively using the 90nm technology.

Conventional researches of standard tool validating public key cryptographic algorithm have been studied for the internet environment, not for the mobile internet. It is important to develop the validation tool for establishment of interoperability and convenience of users in mobile internet. Therefore, this paper presents the validation tool of Elliptic Curie Cryptography algorithm that can test if following X9.62 technology standard specification. The validation tool can be applied all information securities using ECDSA, ECKCDSA, ECDH, etc. Moreover, we can en-hace the precision of validation through several experiments and perform the validation tool in the online environment.

쇼어 알고리즘을 실행할 수 있는 양자 컴퓨터의 발전으로 인해 기존 ECC(Elliptic Curve Cryptography)를 사용하던 블록체인이 PQC(Post Quantum Cryptography)로의 전환을 고려하고 있다. NIST(National Institute of Standards and Technology)가 선정한 Crystal-Dilithium, Falcon 그리고 Sphincs+를 적용하여 비교 분석하였다.

This paper describes a design of point scalar multiplier for public-key cryptography based on binary Edwards curves (BEdC). For efficient implementation of point addition (PA) and point doubling (PD) on BEdC, projective coordinate was adopted for finite field arithmetic, and computational performance was improved because only one inversion was involved in point scalar multiplication (PSM). By applying optimizations to hardware design, the storage and arithmetic steps for finite field arithmetic in PA and PD were reduced by approximately 40%. We designed two types of point scalar multipliers for BEdC, Type-I uses one 257-b×257-b binary multiplier and Type-II uses eight 32-b×32-b binary multipliers. Type-II design uses 65% less LUTs compared to Type-I, but it was evaluated that it took about 3.5 times the PSM computation time when operating with 240 MHz. Therefore, the BEdC crypto core of Type-I is suitable for applications requiring high-performance, and Type-II structure is suitable for applications with limited resources.

For "generic" multivariate public key cryptography (MPKC) systems, experts believe that the Unbalanced Oil-Vinegar (UOV) scheme is a feasible signature scheme with good efficiency and acceptable security. In this paper, we address two problems that are to find inversion solution of quadratic multivariate equations and find another structure with some random Oil-Oil terms for UOV, then propose a novel signature scheme based on hyper-sphere (HS-Sign for short) which directly answers these two problems. HS-Sign is characterized by its adding Oil-Oil terms and more advantages compared to UOV. On the one side, HS-Sign is based on a new inversion algorithm from hyper-sphere over finite field, and is shown to be a more secure UOV-like scheme. More precisely, according to the security analysis, HS-Sign achieves higher security level, so that it has larger security parameters choice ranges. On the other side, HS-Sign is beneficial from both the key side and computing complexity under the same security level compared to many baseline schemes. To further support our view, we have implemented 5 different attack experiments for the security analysis and we make comparison of our new scheme and the baseline schemes with simulation programs so as to show the efficiencies. The results show that HS-Sign has exponential attack complexity and HS-Sign is competitive with other signature schemes in terms of the length of the message, length of the signature, size of the public key, size of the secret key, signing time and verification time.
