To use lightweight aggregate concrete with the structural material, it was need to evaluate property of mechanic and drying shrinkage and creep of the lightweight aggregate concrete, but these weren't. So the purpose of this study which it sees follows the mechanical property of the eco lightweight aggregate concrete according to the water binder ration in the high strength concrete. Eco lightweight aggregate was made with clay and crushed rock in this study. To make experiment, water binder ratio was divided 35% and 39%. And the fresh concrete properties were that slump flow was 500${\pm}$50mm, air contents was 2.0${\pm}$1.0%. It evaluated the hold a drying shrinkage and the creep the effect, it analyzed quality and reliability of the eco lightweight aggregate concrete.
Through modeling fault network using thin plate finite element technique in the San Andreas Fault system with slip rate over 1mm/year, as well as elevation, heat flow, earthquakes, geodetic data and crustal thickness, we compare the results with velocity boundary conditions of plate based on the NUVEL-1 plate model and the approximation of deformation in the Great Basin region. The frictional and dislocation creep constants of the crust are calculated to reproduce the observed variations in the maximum depth of seismicity which corresponds to the temperature ranging from $350^{\circ}C$ to $410^{\circ}C$. The rheologic constants are defined by the coefficient of friction on faults, and the apparent activation energy for creep in the lower crust. Two parameters above represent systematic variations in three experiments. The pattern of model indicates that the friction coefficient of major faults is 0.17~0.25. we test whether the weakness of faults is uniform or proportional to net slip. The geologic data show a good agreement when fault weakness is a trend of an additional 30% slip dependent weakening of the San Andreas. The results of study suggest that all weakening is slip dependent. The best models can be explained by the available data with RMS mismatch of as little as 3mm/year, so their predictions can be closely related with seismic hazard estimation, at least along faults where no data are available.

Large valves for steam turbines of fossil power plants are exposed to a severe mechanical and thermal loading resulting from steam with high pressure and high temperature. Valve casings are designed to withstand such a loading. During the operation of a plant, temperatures at inner and outer surface of the casings are measured and steam flow is controlled so that the measured difference is lower than the maximum allowable value determined in the design stage. In this paper, a method is presented to calculate the maximum allowable temperature difference at the inner and outer surface of valve casings for steam turbines of fossil power plants. The finite element method is used to analyze distribution of temperature and stresses of a casing under the operating condition. Low cycle fatigue and creep rupture are taken into consideration to determine the maximum allowable temperature difference. The method can be usefully applied in the design stage of the large valves for the steam turbines, contributing to safe and reliable operation of the fossil power plants.

Flowable fill is generally a mixture of sand, fly ash, a small amount of cement and water. Sand is the major component of most flowable fill with waste materials. Various materials, including two waste foundry sands(WFS), an anti-corrosive waste foundry sand and natural soil, were used as a fine aggregate in this study. Natural sea sand was used for comparison. The flow behavior, hardening characteristics, and ultimate strength behavior of flowable fill were investigated. The unconfined compression test necessary to sustain walkability as the fresh flowable fill hardens was determined and the strength at 28-days appeared to correlate well with the water-to-cement ratio. The strength parameters, like cohesion and internal friction angle, were determined for the samples prepared by different curing times. The creep test for settlement potential was conducted. The data presented show that by-product foundry sand, an anti-corrosive WFS, and natural soil can be successfully used in controlled low strength materials(CLSM), and it provides similar or better properties to that of CLSM containing natural sea sand.
Spent fuel behavior of dry storage was simulated in a continuous state from steady-state operation by modifying FRAPCON-4.0 to incorporate spent fuel-specific fuel behavior models. Spent fuel behavior of a typical PWR was compared with that of NuScale Power Module (NPMTM). Current PWR discharge burnup (60 MWd/kgU) gives a sufficient margin to the hoop stress limit of 90 MPa. Most hydrogen precipitation occurs in the first 50 years of dry storage, thereby no extra phenomenological safety factor is identified for extended dry storage up to 100 years. Regulation for spent fuel management can be significantly alleviated for LWR-based SMRs. Hydride embrittlement safety criterion is irrelevant to NuScale spent fuels; they have sufficiently lower plenum pressure and hydrogen contents compared to those of PWRs. Cladding creep out during dry storage reduces the subchannel area with burnup. The most deformed cladding outer diameter after 100 years of dry storage is found to be 9.64 mm for discharge burnup of 70 MWd/kgU. It may deteriorate heat transfer of dry storage by increasing flow resistance and decreasing the view factor of radiative heat transfer. Self-regulated by decreasing rod internal pressure with opening gap, cladding creep out closely reaches the saturated point after ~50 years of dry storage.

Pressure tubes are the main components of PHWR core and serve as the pressure boundary of the primary heat transport system. However, because pressure tubes have changed their geometrical dimensions under the severe operating conditions of high temperature, high pressure and neutron irradiation according to the increase of operation time, all dimensional changes should be predicted to ensure that dimensions remain within the allowable design ranges during the operation. Among the deformations, the diameter expansion due to creep leads to the increase of bypass flow which may not contribute to the fuel cooling, the decrease of critical channel power and finally the deration of the power to maintain the operational safety margin. This study is focused on the modeling of the expansion of the pressure tube diameter based on the operating conditions and measured diameter data. The pressure tube diameter expansion was modeled using the neutron flux and temperature distributions of each fuel channel and each fuel bundle as well as the measured diameter data. Although the basic concept of the current modeling approach is simple, the diameter prediction results using the developed methodology showed very good agreement with the real data, compared to the existing methodology.

Cured-in-place-pipe(CIPP) is the most adopted trenchless application for sewer rehabilitation to extend the life of the existing sewer without compromising both direct construction and indirect social costs especially applied in the congested urban area. This technology is globally and domestically known to be the most suitable for partial and full deteriorated pipe structure rehabilitation in a sewer system. The typical design of CIPP requires a significant thickness of lining to support loading causing sewage flow interruption and increasing material cost. This paper presents development of a high strength glass fiber composite lining material for the CIPP application and structural test results. The test results exhibit that the new glass fiber composite lining material has 12 times of flexural strength, 6.2 times of flexural modulus, and 0.5 Creep Retention Factor. These test results can reduce lining design thickness 35% at minimum. Even though taking into consideration extra materials such as outer and inner films for actual field applications, the structural capacity of the composite material significantly increases and it reduces 20 percent or more line thickness as compared to the conventional CIPP. We expect that the newly developed CIPP lining material lowers material costs and minimizes flow capacity reduction, and fully replaceable to the conventional CIPP lining materials.

As the intense heat continues, many cases of highway pavement blow up and bridge expansion joints damages have been inspected. Especially, Expansion joint closure of bridges is an important problem that can threat the safety of the bridge structure or reduce long-term durability. This paper proposed a structural analysis method for bridges having expansion joint closure and structural analysis was performed to verify the effects according to bridge types. Analysis bridges were divided into four types: concrete and steel bridges, shallow and piled foundations. To induce the situation of abutments and bridge decks are jammed, the following loads were additionally considered; lateral flow pressure, pavement expansion by alkali-aggregate reaction, creep settlement of backfill. The structural analysis method was verified by comparing the structural analysis results with the actually measured joint gap data. In addition, behavioral analysis due to joint closure was conducted to confirm the change in safety ratio by type of superstructure as the axial force increased.
The reactor head of a sodium-cooled fast reactor KALIMER-600 should be cooled during the reactor operation in order to maintain the integrity of sealing material and to prevent a creep fatigue. Analyzing turbulent natural convection flow in the cover gas region of reactor vessel with the commercial CFD code CFX10.0, the cooling requirement for the reactor head and the performance of the insulation plate were assessed. The results showed that the high temperature region around reactor vessel was caused by the convective heat transfer of Helium gas flow ascending the gap between the insulation plate and the reactor vessel inner wall. The insulation plate was shown to sufficiently block the radiative heat transfer from pool surface to reactor head to a satisfactory degree. More than $32.5m^3$/sec of cooling air flow rate was predicted to maintain the required temperature of reactor head.

To investigate an in-pile behavior of the newly developed DUO fuel pellet, the irradiation test will be carried out in the domestic test reactor. Irradiation test capsule for the HANARO reactor, which is a specially designed equipment used for material, irradiation and creep test, must satisfy the operational requirement on the hydraulic characteristics and structural integrity. In this study, a pressure drop, a flow-induced vibration and a short-term endurance test for the newly developed non-instrumented test capsule were carried out using FIVPET as a out-pile evaluation test. The test results show that the new test rig satisfy the HANARO operational requirement with sufficient margin.
