This research was carried out to develop a program that would promote children's creative thought processes and also to ascertain the effect on their development. The creative thought program consists of three stages : at the first stage, information for the development of the program was gathered and the theoretical basic model established. Considering Divergent and Feeling Factors, the program was planned based on the William's educational curriculum as it was applied and tested in an actual life situation. At the second stage, in order to formulate an activity plan for the creative thought program, William's activity plan was analyzed. At the third stage, the activities which would be applied to the creative thought program in the actual situation were considered with teaching strategy, activity arena and creative thought factors. In conclusion, according to these research results, children's creative thought programs should not just promote Divergent Factors or limited areas of activities, but other activities which include Feeling Factors should be planned and more diverse creative thought programs developed. To design an education program that encourages efficient creative thought, various teaching strategies in creative thought education need to be developed. Teacher training for current teachers should be conducted and parents who have the most direct influence of their children - be made aware of the creative thought process in children. It needs to be stated that this research on creative thought programs is not a complete program: it needs to be further adjusted and supplemented. As development of the tools to evaluate Feeling Factors objectively and the application on the program due to insufficient time, a more continuous application of the program and further research and evaluation of its effects are required.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of science lesson applying STEAM education on the creative thinking activities and emotional intelligence of elementary school students. The study subjects were two classes of the $3^{th}$ grade of S elementary school in B Metropolitan City. One class including 26 students was experimental group and the other including 27 students was comparison group. For the purpose of study, the lesson unit 'The world of animals' was practised, the reorganized unit applying STEAM was applied to experimental group, whereas comparison group was taught traditional science lesson. The results of this study were as follows. First, the science lesson applying STEAM education influenced significantly the improvement of the creative thought activities of elementary school students. Second, the science lesson applying STEAM education influenced significantly the improvement of the emotional intelligence of elementary school students.

The purpose of this study is to find out the effect of hypothesis formulations using abduction on science processing skills and the creative thinking activities. As the subject, 2 classes in the $6^{th}$ grade of B elementary school located in Busan were selected. Through the pre/post inspection design between experiment and comparison class, the units of science courses in the second semester of $6^{th}$ grade '1. A change in the weather' and '2. Various gases' were applied. The results were as follows: Firstly, the test on science processing skills showed that there was not statistic meaningful differences between the two groups. And, in the sub-parts, there was not statistic meaningful differences between the two groups. Secondly, it was observed that it would have a meaningful effect to improve the creative thinking activities of students who performed hypothesis formulation using abduction. Especially, through this, the experimental class gave a positive effect on the 'Fluency' and 'Elaboration', one of lower categories of the creative activities. The results of 'Flexibility' and 'Originality' in the experimental class were higher than those of students in the comparative class. However, according to statistical analysis, this result is meaningless. Thirdly, on the survey about the hypothesis formulation using abduction, many students thought that this learning method was very interesting and helpful to study science. In addition, it was observed that the ability to use abduct thinking was improved more than ever before.
The purpose of this study is to suggest the desirable direction toward the creative hand-on activities suitable for the characters of the technical high school students by examining the teachers' recognition of sub-factors of creative activities in technical high school and analysing whether the factors are properly utilized. Respondents of this study were 393 teachers at the Technical high school in South Korea. The questionnaire survey on the recognition of creative hand-on activities consisted of questions, which are importance and reflection, from 32 sections in 5 fields. The summary of the results through this study is as following. First, In the results of importance analysis of teachers in technical high school, in club activity field, 'the invention' of 'academic activity', 'film-art' in 'culture-art activity', 'challenge activity' in 'sports activity', 'school specialized major' in 'work practice activity', 'scout federation', 'Red Cross youth activity' in 'youth group activity' were seemed to be higher. Second, In the results of reflection analysis, it was found that the 'academy, culture-art', 'sports activity' fields were similarly reflected in importance thought by teachers in technical high school. However, for 'the work practice activity' and 'youth group activity', except 'the school specialized major', all fields are not properly reflected, independent of importance. For 'the work practice activity', analyses of importance and reflection seemed to be alike but for 'the youth group activity', there was a significant difference between them.
The purpose of this study is to microscopically analyze the problem solving activities in creative robotics making and programming activity in order to investigate the characteristics of team interaction in accordance with MBTI disposition of team members in the creative robotics making activity in which the engineering education has a lot interest in the recent years. For the prosecution of this study, teams composed of 2 students targeting 30 students who were at the related department of engineering education in the college of eduction, A university located in Daejeon were organized. In addition, individual propensities of team members, in other words, team dynamic structure and team interaction were analyzed through microscopical analysis of the problem solving activities in creative robotics making and programming activity. The results of this study showed that there was a static correlation between the organization of MBTI Heterogeneity team and the interaction of team members, and also there was a positive interaction of team members in organizing MBTI Homogeneity team in area of Thought (T) - Feeling (F). In addition, mutual complement to solve the problems was carried out and the problem-solving capability was shown in the course of the communication along with the organization of MBTI team of extreme heterogeneity.
Objective: The goal of this study is to design a creative tutoring service, which helps children gain confidence and creativity through learning activities. Background: Nowadays most kids are growing up in a very competitive environment under their parents' zeal for education. A stressful environment can deter a child from the confident undertaking of challenges, leading to depression, anxiety, and feelings of inadequacy. Art therapy helps children work through these issues, however the process led by instructors or parents, and kids still feel anxious studying adults' face to read their thought. Method: To help children address challenges, a creative tutoring service application can provide images with certain tasks instead of asking them to fill in blank areas. The tasks asked by the service system are 1) to visualize children's own experience utilizing visually associated images from given images and 2) to create an illustrated story modifying and re-composing given images. Another task is to learn basic math and words with numbers and alphabets in customized colors. By completing each task children collect awards, which allow them graduate to higher levels of challenges. The outcomes from the tasks are sent to the main server system and reviewed by analysts. Those results are sent to children's parents as a text message on smart phone. Results: Visual implication using images inspires children to make creative stories based on their own experience. Also, children can find their own patterns of reaching answers by using synaesthetic imagery through repetitive practices of creative thinking tasks. Conclusion: Understanding how they feel about doing tasks in certain environments and assessing them in varied situations should be carefully considered when designers approach service design for kids. By focusing on how to tutor children in creative ways, as opposed to focusing on the expected outcome, creative service applications can be designed to reduce children's stress and encourage self expression. Children are predicted to gain confidence through using the service without the concern of comparison by others. Application: The creative tutoring service needs to be developed and tested by varying types of children.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the perspectives of pre-service elementary teachers on science education of future by using Draw-A-Science-Teacher-Test Checklist and open-ended questionnaire. The subjects of this study were 136 pre-service elementary teachers. The results of the research are as follows. The pre-service teachers thought that the physical environment reflecting the latest science and technology for science education will be developed in the future. However, few respondents indicated that student-centered equipment or a free and creative classroom environment would be provided. Second, they predicted that there would be changes in teacher's activities due to the introduction of advanced facilities and equipment, but most of the other teachers' activities were thought to be similar to those of current teachers. Third, the pre-service elementary teachers thought that a variety of new technologies would be used in science education and science teachers would mainly teach high-technology, IT technology, science knowledge, and newly discovered science concepts. In addition, we found that pre-service elementary teachers' images were more 'teacher-centered' than 'student-centered'. These results show that pre-service elementary teachers are expected to utilize the latest science and technology actively in science education in 2030 and that it will lead to changes in the physical environment, teachers' activities, education contents, and teaching and learning methods. In addition, they viewed acquisition of science concept as an important goal of science education in the future and had different points of view from the current science education curriculum and scholars' emphasis on educational research for the future.
Nowadays the number of students that is losing their interest as well as learning desire in mathematics is increasing because of lack of logical thought creative power and abstract expression that present-day mathematics requires by reason of discrepancy of extreme scholastic ability by speciality of mathematics. In these conditions, we reduce the number of learning depression by bringing about learning desire or learning interest on mathematics, and students learn effective learning methods to be voluntary learning of discovery themselves that studies basic concepts, principles, rules through logical thought of students to solve difference of scholastic ability, thus we assumed that debate studies through small group activities in ability group would be one of ways to improve learning power, so the results of our research are as follows; 1. Debate studies through small group activities were very effective because of reinforcing the achivement level of students. 2. By this learning method, an individual or cooperrative learning was fostered, and lively discussions were accomplished. And learning attitudes of students were changed by the extension of cooperative learning abilities through advices or by themselves. 3. A personal opinion is payed regard by accepting an individual idea in the process of making questions. Learners can correct wrong concepts in the process of correcting wrong answers. So if we apply above-mentioned studies with easy contents from the lower grades, the effectiveness would increase as learners go to the higher grade. According to the results of various researches as follows; "The teaching-learning method oriented coopperative debate studies is effective to find solutions to mathematical problems." If small group activities are applied in the educational situation to search the course of a desirable cooperation learning through small group activities to improve scholastic abilities for a discoverable problem-solving power. I think that the teaching-learning method oriented cooperative debate studies is one of the most desirable methods to increase the problem-solving ability.
Listening comprehension can be defined as a process of an integrative, positive and creative activity through which listeners get the message of speakers' production using linguistic or non-linguistic redundancy as well as linguistic or non-linguistic knowledge. Compared with reading comprehension, it has many difficulties especially for foreigners. while it can be transferred to the other skills: speaking, reading, writing. With this said, listening comprehension can be taught effectively using the following teaching strategies. First. systematic and intensive instruction of segmental phonemes, suprasegmental phonemes and sound changes must be given to remove the difficulties of listening comprehension concerned with the identification of sounds. Second, vocabulary drill through various games and other activities is absolutely needed until words can be unconsciously recognized. Without this, comprehension is almost impossible. Third, instruction of sentence structures is thought to be essential considering grammar is supplementary to listening comprehension and reading comprehension for academic purpose. So grammar translation drills, mechanical drills, meaningful drills and communicative drills should be performed in succession with common or frequently used structures. Fourth, listening activities for overall comprehension should teach how to receive overall meaning of intended messages intact. Linguists and literatures have listed some specific activities as follows: Total Physical Response, dictation, role playing, singing songs, selective listening, picture recognition, list activities, completion, prediction, true or false choice, multiple choice, seeking of specific information, summarizing, problem-solving and decision-making, recognization of relationships between speakers, recognition of mood, attitude and behavior of speakers.
