  • The purpose of this study was to find out whether scientifically creative students were selected as science-gifted class students and whether their creativity improved after class for the science-gifted students by comparing the science gifted class students to general class students in the first grade of high school. This was achieved by comparing science-gifted class students with general ones on creative personality and creative thinking ability. For this study, science-gifted class students and general class students were surveyed using Khatena-Torrance creative perception inventory and Torrance test of creative thinking with words of form A, before and after class for the science-gifted group. The results showed that science-gifted class students scored significantly higher than general class students on the creative personality. However, there was no significant difference between the two groups in their creative thinking ability. Also, in this study, the sub-factors of creative personality and those of creative thinking ability showed very low levels of correlation, which implies that the two variables are highly independent. In addition, science-gifted class students did not show significant improvement in their scores on the creative personality and the creative thinking ability after class. Therefore, further research and development on the selection of science-gifted students and teaching-learning methods which can improve the creativity of these students are needed.

  • As humanity embarks on its learning journey in the 21st century, education needs to take on new dimensions. This discourse focuses on the essentials of what educators could do to promote creative development in young gifted and talented students.Current practices in Singapore's Gifted Education Programme are shared. Future possibilities of educating the young gifted studentson their creative attributes like Piirto's 7 Is, brain functions, energy levels or intensities, volition, virtues and other personal and interpersonal skills will be explained. Gifted students are the captains of their own ships, the pilot of their own planes. Teaching them about their creative potential is the first step in awakening their consciousness from within. It is up to them to decide to become more creative with support from parents and teachers thereafter.

  • This study explores factors that influence the development of creative ideas among apparel design students. This research is to understand how past experience (especially in art and design), influences the development of creative ideas in apparel design. The interaction between two related elements of student experience and work process is explored. A design process model based on Wallas's (1926) creative problem-solving process and Koberg and Bagnall's (1974) design process was used in the context of a beginning-level apparel design course comprised of Korean and Chinese students at a university in Seoul, South Korea. The results show that students with past experience in art and/or design performed differently than inexperienced students when faced with the same stimulation. Significant differences were also observed between experienced and inexperienced students in the development of creative ideas.

  • In order to solve the complicated problems faced by the spread of diversified information devices and changes in the user environment in recent years, the importance of training creative talent as well as the need for interdisciplinary convergent approach have emerged. As a future technology development project, convergence education with the design sector for training creative talent in the IT field is also urgent. In this study, we recognized the importance and problems of the convergent approach between IT and design sector by examining the convergence theory and cases with a focus on effective creativity development and sought a new direction for convergence education in the future by investigating the awareness on the convergent approach of college students and analyzing the results. This will be able to have significance as a basic study for discovering creative and innovative convergent talent in the IT and design sector in the future and strengthening basic competence.

  • In this paper, the implementation of creative engineering robot with MCU platform is described. This robot, as a platform of robot system to be used as creative engineering education, has to satisfy restrictions in many aspects in order to study algorithm and apply for the processor based function and pattern recognition application. Considering many restrictions of the mobile platform for creative robot system, we made this robot autonomous by using efficiently the LINUX embedded system. And we choose Marvell Monahan processor(PXA320) as MCU flatform, and used CentOS5.2 as an embedded OS that has the function of robustness and optimality. For flexibility and modularity, the platform has expansion ports. The results of experiment are described to show the pattern matching of creative engineering mobile robot with LINUX programming environments.

  • The primary concern here is to discover the what and how of the computer same development. In other words, the goal of this research is help the evaluation of Creative Croup Thinking System (CGTS), become aware of areas of need for the development computer game. For the development computer game, the creative thinking is one of the most important principles. The creative thinking is the first step of the development computer game of process. In order to save time, effective qualifies, and achieve the goals, the researcher has studied the web programing on the Creative Croup Thinking System (CGTS).
