The purpose of this study was to conduct content analysis on expression activity section in the physical education textbooks of 2009 curriculum revision and provide a basis for future middle school physical education. in order to accomplish the purpose of this study, 5 different kinds of physical education textbook. The physical education textbooks were examined through the comparative analysis and previous studies conducted for selections of the analysis bases. The results were as follows. First, textbooks devoted the space from 14.1 to 17.3%. In deployment and configuration of the section, each textbooks were used variety of methods, photographs and illustrations for motivations and advanced learning. Second, the instructional objectives were presented 4-6 each text book including expression activity concepts, understanding expression methods, personal competence reinforcement through creative activity, and watching performances. Learning contents were to focus on the concepts of aesthetic component in the esthetical expression, to highlight creative component in the modern expression, to express characteristic dances through understanding of the culture in the traditional expression. lastly, the middle assessments hight the understanding of each contents but small assessments focus on attitudes of character education.
This study is focused on main performers' stage costumes in the 'Swan Lake', a masterpiece of classical ballet, which Is newly represented by Matthew Bourne, a choreographer. The objectives of the study is to help understand a trend of costume in modern public performance and art. First, this paper is attempted to describe the concept and the elements of ballet costume, secondly, to consider the performance generally, and finally to analyze main performers stage costumes. This study was performed by two processes; The first was to visit theaters to view the performances in person: the classical ballet by the Bolshoi Theater Ballet, the performance by Korea national ballet academy and the Matthew Bonne's modernly redefined ballet. The second was to review the regarding literatures and DVD. There are two apparent characteristics of main performers' stage costumes in modern-style ballet compared with classic-style ballet. First, there is an approach to gender identity; the character of swan with the classic tutu that has been the culmination of femininity in the classic-style ballet, used to be represented in an established idea on ballet costume, is now substituted by a creative idea, male ballerina and trouser-style ballet costume. Second, there is an approach to breaking the convention on the purpose of emphasizing popularity arousing real sympathy and art value. Also, modern-style ballet introduces bare body and ffot rather than tutu and toe-shoes, and adapts items from casual outfit fitted in earh performer's character with a present-day life.
This exploratory study examined the possibility that the notion, willing suspension of disbelief, can explain the processing of animated spokes-character in advertising. Willing suspension of disbelief has originated from Coleridge's explanation of poetic faith. And the term has been theoretically studied in the response of fiction in creative works, such as cinema, dramas, and advertisements, as well as literature. So far, willing suspension of disbelief has been proposed as a mediator of empathy, cognitive responses and affective responses to fiction. On these theoretical bases, a survey was conducted to 64 people with 3 advertisements to test the validity of the discriminant function. Findings of discriminant function analysis are as follows: First, the variable of willing suspension of disbelief well discriminated between the willing group and the non-willing group. Secondly, the Intensity of willing suspension of disbelief showed statistically significant difference between the willing group and the non-willing group. Thus, according to these results, it is proposed that the effects of the willing suspension of disbelief can be examined as a mediator of the response of fiction in further substantial studios.
The purpose of this study is to develop various designs through renewing and changing perception of accessories by examining various and arbitrary Kitsch. For the method of this study, literature review was mainly used for research of formative characteristics in Kitsch fashion. 798 pieces of work from fashion magazines and website with a focus on Milan, Paris, London and New York collections, in the decade of 2000-2010 were collected. The results of this study are as follows. First, the characteristic of exaggeration is classified into two types: the visual exaggeration, which is characterized by psychological expression through excessive images and (2) the collecting exaggeration, which is not simple but a want of large quantities. Second, the characteristic of satire is classified into two types: (1) the imitation-satire, which satirizes messages to societies with creative humor by using easily consumed materials and (2) the resistance-satire, which is destructive and offensive against isolation and desolation of a capitalistic society. Third, the characteristic of amusement is classified into two types: (1) the playful-amusement, which raises a laugh slyly by using clever materials and (2) the childish-amusement, which involves childish imagination and humor-sense because of desire to be a child. Fourth, the characteristic of nostalgia is classified into two types: (1) the romantic character expressing a departure from modern society, which is desolate because of the urbanization process, and (2) the intermediate character recreating an esthetic category by interacting with different and relative elements. Fifth, the characteristic of inappropriateness is expressed through a deliberate mistake, and it denies existing senses of beauty by overturning common sense and creating new senses of beauty, expressions in distortion and modification of stereotype.
The purpose of this study was to develop royal costume design with contemporary taste depending on the character of hero, Lee San, and time flow of TV historical drama and research design discrimination and creative expression. As study methods, the literature study using books and theses concerning costume, fine art, culture and history were used for theoretical background and the empirical study method manufacturing actual costume on the basis of literature and relic were used for dress manufacture. The design concept of costume was modern & chic & clean. The costume was designed through straight silhouette, clean & bright colors excluding prime colors, style transformed to permanent straight pleats on the basis of chulik, 100% silk material focusing on high quality and pattern & decoration of the age of Three Kingdoms. As results, the designs of princess' official rob, day dress and chulik, and emperor's official robe, chulik, military dress and chun-dam-bok were developed. The design discrimination depending on social status change. In the period of princess, black, white, silver and blue were used but in the period of emperor, red, gold and black were used. It was expressed through dragon pattern and extended length used in cloth. The design discrimination depending on character change was visualized through color. Although it is not consistent with historical investigation, contemporary fashion design elements were added to royal costume through color contrast of black & white, permanent straight pleats, velcore, wristlet, extended length and layered-look.

A lot of city have different characteristics in their location, space and environment each other. These characters are the factors showing inherent placeness of each space, and those factors should be reflected sufficiently in urban planning and development. Nonetheless, there are many parts that are not actually reflected in the plan, and this creates a space of unexpected arming. Especially, port area in a port city has strong characteristics of culture, history, geography and environment of the city concerned so it must make more creative and unique space. Therefore, it is considered that not only the physical factors but also the social factors should be actively reflected to highlight the place character of the port space. In this paper we are to construct the factors forming the placeness of port space based on the Form Based Codes rising as a flexible urban planning method in order to avoid rigidity of existing use district zoning system, and establish the placeness character of each port area.
Throughout her life time, Edith Head produced cinema costumes for over one thousand movies. She was the leading cinema costume designer in Hollywood. Since the Academy Awards added the area of costume design to be recognized [during 33 years of her work(1948∼1981)], she was nominated 35 times an awarded eight times. However, there were no significant studies done on her work or accomplishments although she was acknowledged as an ingenue and creative designer who elicited artistic effects by reflect character's images through their costumes. The purpose of the study was focused on revealing Edith Head's life and work as her creations had a great impact in he field of cinema costumes. It was also to emphasize the forceful affect of cinema costumes on fashion and to disclose the powerful influence of cinema costume designers. The method of the study includes reviews of literature, movies for which she created costumes, her own possessions, and fashion magazines as well as her works that were nominated and chosen for the Academy Awards. Edith head's emphasis in costume design was based on a blend of both simplicity and sophistication avoiding excessive exaggeration and transformation in her work. Her work was also realistic and contemporary. She developed a dramatic ambience through an innovative design while preserving the actor's individual character and uniqueness. Through this accept her her work was highly renowned as an art form as it was gaining popularity. She was also a dominant figure who influenced trends in the areas of fashion magazines, uniforms, and public clothing. In the review of her cinema costumes, it was revealed that the styles of cinema costumes can be as quickly adapted by the public as movies are viewed because the cinema costumes are highly projected through a visual channel. Subsequently, a follow up study on the affect of cinema costumes on fashion would be beneficial.
The use of new words, numerous spoken languages, and abbreviations on the Internet is extensive. As such, automatically acquiring words for the purpose of analyzing Internet content is very difficult. In a previous study, we proposed a method for Japanese word segmentation using character N-grams. The previously proposed method is based on a simple state-transition model that is established under the assumption that the input document is described based on four states (denoted as A, B, C, and D) specified beforehand: state A represents words (nouns, verbs, etc.); state B represents statement separators (punctuation marks, conjunctions, etc.); state C represents postpositions (namely, words that follow nouns); and state D represents prepositions (namely, words that precede nouns). According to this state-transition model, based on the states applied to each pseudo-word, we search the document from beginning to end for an accessible pattern. In other words, the process of this transition detects some words during the search. In the present paper, we perform experiments based on the proposed word acquisition algorithm using Japanese and Chinese newspaper articles. These articles were obtained from Japan's Kyoto University and the Chinese People's Daily. The proposed method does not depend on the language structure. If text documents are expressed in Unicode the proposed method can, using the same algorithm, obtain words in Japanese and Chinese, which do not contain spaces between words. Hence, we demonstrate that the proposed method is language independent.
Analysis of narrative texts has been regarded as academically and practically important, and has been made from various perspectives and methods. In this paper, the computational narrative analysis methodology from the perspective of information processing was examined. From the point of view of information processing, the creation and acceptance of narrative is a bidirectional coding process mediated by narrative text, and narrative text can be said to be a multi-layered structured code. In this paper, four methodologies that share this point of view - character network analysis, text mining and sentiment analysis, continuity analysis of event composition, and knowledge analysis of narrative agents - were examined together with cases. Through this, the mechanism and possibility of computational methodology in narrative analysis were confirmed. In conclusion, the significance and side effects of computational narrative analysis were examined, and the necessity of designing a human-computer collaboration model based on the consilience of the humanities and science/technology was discussed. Based on this model, it was argued that aesthetically creative, ethically good, politically progressive, and cognitively sophisticated narratives could be made more effectively.

In the 1970s, under the tyrannical regulation and censorship of the Yushin regime, realistic dramatization techniques were forced to reveal their limitations. Choosing the 'allegory' technique, a double-meaning narrative structure, Lee Kang-baek sets up virtual spaces or unrealistic figures, both of which lack 'realism'. Lee Kang-baek has allergic the illusion of detadiscourse, the diaspora character, and the universality of 'Political Unconsciousness'. So it's linked to the perception of history in the 1960s. This creates a semantic network of public and casual perception of history. This was a 'bypass' strategy which more clearly disclose the violent politics. Therefore Lee Kang-baek's play shows the desperate situation of the diaspora character being oppressed by detadiscourse, and the desire of the author who can never give up on freedom of expression, though under that oppression. Furthermore, it was an attempt to acquire a timeless universality and symbolism about human freedom and liberation through the Allegory play technique.
