  • Visualization has a strong capability to manage and display a large volume of data. It makes system analysis more intuitive and helps an operator in monitoring system status, understanding its phenomena, identifying its problems, and performing corrective action to maintain the security of the system. In this paper visualization program is developed based on a COTS-based software development concept in a distributed environment using open-source application software and development tools.

  • This paper is described the System of effective RAMS Management established for AREX Railway System. This system for AREX's E&M system contains FRACAS(Failure Reporting, Analysis and Corrective Action Plan) and computation of RAMS indices. This procedure is applying to improve the Reliability, Availability, Maintainability and Safety for railway system in operation stage. Furthermore, this system would be a basis of RCM(Reliability Centred Maintenance).

  • Manufacturing process generally exhibits major or minor variations due to deviation of raw materials, equipment degradation, controller malfunction, and so on. Extensive research based on multivariate statistical process control has been done to monitor the unstable states and indicate a corrective action. A prototype of intelligent operation support system ("ISYS-MSPC") has been developed as a tool that supports the enhanced operation to guarantee the high productivity and a uniform high quality product. This system has been applied to the industrial batch and continuous processes and its performance has been validated .

  • In this paper we introduce an applicable RCM(Reliability centered maintenance) method for Track circuit equipment of AREX's Signalling System. AREX computerize all the process of FRACAS(Failure Reporting, Analysis and Corrective Action System)) by the Facility Management System of Integrated Information System. These datum were analysed and reproduced as the RAMS index value which can be used by maintenance staff for optimizing the maintenance method of the System.

  • Primary prevention of low back injury in industry has focused on assessing the person's ability to perform physical labor. If the job to be performed is known to require lifting and moving of materials which could stress the low back, then special consideration is given to the health and functional capability of the person, s back. The major pursuit in lifting task of research is to provide objective criteria based upon all of the relevant mechanical parameters which describe both man art task so as to minimize the probabilities of injury within the economic constraints of each organization. The purpose of this study is to predict the back compression of persons asked to lift objects while assuming different position by computer simulation. The primary result of this study is that the incidence of low back injury is correlated with higher lifting strenth requirements as determined by assessment of both the location and magnitude of the load lifted. It is, therefore, recommended that load lifting be considered potentially hazardous, and the action limit and the maximum permissiable limit be used to guide corrective action.

  • Periodic safety review on Kori Unit 1 has been successfully done for the first time in Korea. 11 safety factors of the review were fully evaluated in accordance with the domestic legal system. Although it is the oldest nuclear power plant in Korea, Kori Unit 1 was found to have maintained good operating conditions and continuously enhanced its safety by implementing post-TMI action plans and other safety issues, such as replacing steam generators and process/control system. It can be therefore confirmed that safe operation of Kori Unit 1 is guaranteed until next periodic safety review. Nevertheless, some corrective action items were recommended to enhance further its safety level, such as equipment qualification, additional ageing management program, strengthening of some procedures related to administration and human factor. The results of PSR can be utilized for the continued operation beyond the design life as long as the plant safety is maintained and improved. Experiences of the PSR on Kori Unit 1 can be also applied to PSR on other plants.

트위터 유력자와의 의견일치여부가 의견표명에 미치는 영향: 유력자 유형의 상호작용효과를 중심으로 (The Effect of Opinion Congruency with Twitter Influentials on Opinion Expression: The Interaction Effect of Influential Type)

  • 본 연구는 트위터 유력자가 이용자의 온-오프라인 의견표명 의도에 미치는 영향을 살펴보고자 하였다. 침묵의 나선 이론과 수정 행동 가설에 근거하여 상반된 가설을 도출하였고, 어느 가설이 더 타당한지를 검증해보기 위해 실험연구를 진행하였다. 실험참가자들은 입양특례법 개정안에 대한 공인 유력자의 찬성 트윗, 공인 유력자의 반대 트윗, 일반인 유력자의 찬성 트윗, 일반인 유력자의 반대 트윗이라는 4개의 실험 조건에 배치되었다. 입양특례법 개정안에 대한 실험참가자의 의견을 바탕으로, 실험집단은 공인 유력자와의 의견일치 집단, 공인 유력자와의 의견불일치 집단, 일반 유력자와의 의견일치 집단, 일반 유력자와의 의견불일치 집단으로 구분되었다. 분석결과, 유력자와의 의견일치여부는 이용자의 의견표명 의도에 영향을 주지 않았다. 그러나 유력자 유형에 따른 상호작용 효과가 발견되었는데, 일반인 유력자와의 의견불일치가 이용자들의 온-오프라인 의견표명 의지를 높이는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구결과는 트위터 유력자가 이용자들을 침묵시키는 것이 아니라 오히려 의견표명을 동기화시킬 가능성이 있음을 보여준다.

  • 오늘날 항공기 항행에 있어서 자동조종장치와 FMS (flight management system)의 발전은 조종사들의 작업량감소와 항행 안전유지에 그 성과가 크다고 할 수 있다. 특히 공항의 교통량이 많거나 표준계기 출발 절차 (SID; standard instrument departure)가 복잡한 항행의 경우에 자동조종장치와 FMS 장비의 효과는 더욱 크다. 하지만 일부 공항의 특정한 출발 절차에서 FMS의 오류로 인한 uncommanded turn 이벤트가 발생하여, 항공기가 항로의 중심선에서 벗어나는 경우가 있다. 대부분의 출발 절차가 RNAV(area navigation) 운영이 요구됨으로, 조종사의 상황인식과 수정 조작이 항로 편차(deviation)를 최소화하여, RNAV의 안전을 유지하는 유일한 방법이다. 이와 관련하여 uncommanded turn 이벤트의 국내외 발생 현황을 기종별, 공항별, 비행 단계별로 조사하고 항공사의 uncommanded turn 이벤트 경감방안 분석을 통해 해당 이벤트의 더욱 근본적인 재발 방지대책 마련의 필요성 및 시사점을 도출하고자 한다.

효과적인 FRACAS 운용을 위한프로세스 지식의 생성과 활용 (Creation and Use of Process oriented Knowledge for Effective FRACAS)

  • In reliability engineering, failure reporting, analysis, and corrective action system (FRACAS) is an useful tool for effective failure reporting and related operations. FRACAS is generally mainly focused on implementation of its closed-loop process, but also includes various related information which has to be effectively managed such as failure types, failure modes, failure mechanisms, and corrective actions. In this study, we adopt and utilize the concept of process knowledge, and create it through abstraction of FRACAS information. At each step of closed-loop process, the necessary type of knowledge, priority and usability are clearly defined. This study also suggests corresponding management tools such as business process management system, knowledge management system, and their key elements and functions to deal with process knowledge. A prototype system using simple closed-loop process with its process knowledge is presented to demonstrate the feasibility of the proposed work.

연속형 시스템의 신뢰성 성장 관리 시험 설계 방안 (A Method of Reliability Growth Management Test Design for Continuous System)

  • In this paper we proposed the test design method of reliability growth management. First, we presented the process for establishing the reliability growth management test design considering the number of failures and the termination test time. Reliability growth analysis of continuous system was performed in accordance with the test design process presented. In case the reliability test result is not met with the reliability target value after more than three failures occurred, the required test times were analyzed that 1,725 hrs for one corrective action, 1,950 hrs for two corrective actions. If the number of failures is less than three, design a reliability demonstration test according to confidence level 80% and 90% was performed using RGA 11 Software. As a result, it is possible to establish the reliability growth management test design with sufficient use of available resources. The results of this study can be used when establishing a test design for assessment of reliability growth management of all continuous systems.
