평면 뼈대구조물의 큰 변형에 대한 비선형 유한요소의 정식화 (A Finite Element Nonlinear Formulation for Large Deformations of Plane Frames)

  • 평면 뼈대구조물의 매우 큰 변형에 대하여 정확한 비선형 유한요소의 정식화 과정을 나타내었다. 유한요소의 구성은 변화되는 재료의 기준 물성치에 근거를 두고 형성하였으며 매우 큰 변형을 받는 재료의 성질을 명확하게 특정지어 진응력-변형율 관계식을 직접 적용할 수 있도록 하였다. 큰회전과 작은 변형율을 받는 문제들을 형성하기 위하여 Co-rotation 접근 방법을 사용하였다. 큰 변형을 일으키는 요소의 문제를 해결하기 위하여 직선보 형태의 유한요소를 사용하였으며 개개의 유한요소의 정식화는 축방향력의 영향을 고려하여 미소 처짐보이론을 바탕으로 형성하였다. 본 연구에서 형성된 큰 변형에 대한 비선형 유한요소의 타당성을 확인하기 위해 몇몇 수치해들을 해석하고 검토하였다.

A New Control Strategy for a Three-Phase PWM Current-Source Rectifier in the Stationary Frame

  • This paper presents a novel power control strategy for PWM current-source rectifiers (CSRs) in the stationary frame based on the instantaneous power theory. In the proposed control strategy, a virtual resistance based on the capacitor voltage feedback is used to realize the active damping. In addition, the proportional resonant (PR) controller under the two-phase stationary coordinate is designed to track the ac reference current and to avoid the strong coupling brought about by the coordinate transformation. The limitations on improving steady-state performance of the PR controller is investigated and mitigated using a cascaded lead-lag compensator. In the z-domain, a straightforward procedure is developed to analyze and design the control-loop with the help of MATLAB/SISO software tools. In addition, robustness against parameter variations is analyzed. Finally, simulation and experimental results verify the proposed control scheme and design method.

Structural nature of chemically inequivalent borons in the nonlinear optical material β-BaB2O4 studied using 11B MAS NMR and 11B single-crystal NMR

  • Detailed information about the structural nature of three-coordinate borons in ${\beta}-BaB_2O_4$ is obtained through $^{11}B$ MAS NMR and $^{11}B$ single-crystal NMR. The three-coordinate $BO_3$ of the two borons B(1) and B(2) in ${\beta}-BaB_2O_4$ were distinguished. The spin-lattice relaxation time in the laboratory frame $T_1$ for B(1) and B(2) slowly decreases with increasing temperature, whereas the spin-lattice relaxation time in the rotating frame $T_{1{\rho}}$ for B(1) and B(2), which differs from $T_1$, is nearly constant. The B(1) and B(2) of the two types were distinguished by $^{11}B$ MAS NMR and $^{11}B$ single-crystal NMR.

영상 정합을 위한 Block-Coordinate Gauss-Newton 최적화 (Block-Coordinate Gauss-Newton Optimization for Image Registration)

  • 본 논문에서는 영상의 공간 정합과 서로 다른 노출의 보정을 동시에 최적화하기 위한 연구를 수행하였다. 노출 보정은 영상의 밝기 보정이라는 틀 안에서 두 영상의 관계식을 다항식 근사를 통하여 이루는데, 이를 가우스-뉴톤 방식의 비선형 최적화 기법을 이용하여 공간 정합과 동시에 수행을 한다. 본 논문에서는 보다 신뢰성 있고 단순한 동시 최적화를 위하여 블록 좌표(block-coordinate) 방법과의 결합을 제안하며 심도 있는 모의실험을 통하여 성능을 비교하였다. 나아가서 블록 좌표 방법의 단순성과 융통성을 이용하여 밝기 보정에 회기 분석 기법을 도입하여 여러 종류의 영상에 대하여 안정성에서도 우수한 성능을 보이는 최적화를 수행하였다. 기존의 가우스-뉴톤 최적화에 블록 좌표 방법을 결합하여 일반 가우스-뉴톤 최적화에 비하여 계산을 단순화시키면서 보다 빠르게 수렴하는 특성을 보이며 대등한 성능의 칙적화를 수행할 수 있었다. 실험 결과를 보면 특정 영상에서 10회 반복정도로 원하는 수렴 결과를 얻었는데 이는 알고리듬 수행을 위한 계산을 50%정도 감소시킨 것이다 또한 에러도 1.5dB이상 감소시켰다.

GENERAL RELATIVISTIC RADIATION HYDRODYNAMICS: FREQUENCY-INTEGRATED RADIATION MOMENT FORMALISM

  • I present here one approach to general relativistic radiation hydrodynamics. It is based on covariant tensor conservation equations and considers only the frequency-integrated total energy and momentum exchange between matter and the radiation field. It is also a mixed-frame formalism in the sense that, the interaction between radiation and matter is described with quantities in the comoving frame in which the interaction is often symmetric in angle while the radiation energy and momentum equations are expressed in the fixed frame quantities in which the derivatives are simpler. Hence, this approach is intuitive enough to be applied straightforwardly to any spacetime or coordinate. A few examples are provided along with caveats in this formalism.

DADS를 이용한 유연 다물체의 동응력 해석 (Dynamic Stress Analysis of Flexible Multibody using DADS)

  • A great deal of time and effort are required to evaluate the safety and durability of a vehicle structure in the vehicle development stage. It is difficult to find the reasons for cracks which occur in the body and frame of a vehicle during tests. Recently computer aided engineering techniques have been utilized to solve the problems of safety and durability of vehicles. In this study, a dynamic stress analysis is performed on the frame of the vehicle by rigid and flexible multibody dynamics techniques. The result of the analysis is compared to that of the actual test. The full vehicle dynamic models for the rigid and flexible bodies are developed by DADS package. The modal coordinate system is used to save time for the dynamic stress analysis. The flexible multibody dynamic models have 12 normal modes considering the flexibility of the frame. Dynamic stresses arc calculated by relating the stress influence coefficients and the applied forces.

Computation of 2-D mixed-mode stress intensity factors by Petrov-Galerkin natural element method

  • The mixed-mode stress intensity factors of 2-D angled cracks are evaluated by Petrov-Galerkin natural element (PG-NE) method in which Voronoi polygon-based Laplace interpolation functions and CS-FE basis functions are used for the trial and test functions respectively. The interaction integral is implemented in a frame of PG-NE method in which the weighting function defined over a crack-tip integral domain is interpolated by Laplace interpolation functions. Two Cartesian coordinate systems are employed and the displacement, strains and stresses which are solved in the grid-oriented coordinate system are transformed to the other coordinate system aligned to the angled crack. The present method is validated through the numerical experiments with the angled edge and center cracks, and the numerical accuracy is examined with respect to the grid density, crack length and angle. Also, the stress intensity factors obtained by the present method are compared with other numerical methods and the exact solution. It is observed from the numerical results that the present method successfully and accurately evaluates the mixed-mode stress intensity factors of 2-D angled cracks for various crack lengths and crack angles.

지진하중을 받는 철근콘크리트 골조 구조물의 모드 해석 (Model Analysis of R/C Framed Structures to Earthquake Excitations)

  • 모드좌표를 이용한 R/C 골조구조물의 근사적인 비선형 동적해석법을 제안하였다. 과거에도 비선형 문제를 푸는데 있어서 모드좌표에서의 해석이 부분적으로 이용되어 왔으나 각 하중증분에 따른 구조물의 강성변화로 인하여 고유치를 재계산하여야 하기 때문에 그리 널리 사용되지 못하였다. 여기서 제안된 방법은 동적해석 수행중에 산정된 제한된 수만의 고유치를 산정하였다. 그리하여 일정한 수의 고유치만으로 동적해석에서 반복하여 사용하였다. 부재의 소성힌지영역에서의 강성변화 및 핀치효과등을 부재의 이력모델에 의해서 표현되었으며 이러한 알고리즘은 휨변형이 지배하는 R/C 골조구조물의 예비해석에 유용하게 사용될 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 철근콘크리트 부재의 비선형 구조모델의 구성방법 및 그 특성 그리고 모드해석법의 알고리즘을 제안하고 그 효율성을 입증하였다.

  • Due to the temporal correlation of the image sequence, the motion vector of a block is highly related to the motion vector of the same coordinate block in the previous image frame. If we can obtain useful and enough information from the motion vector of the same coordinate block of the previous image frames, the total number of search points used to find the motion vector of the current block may be reduced significantly. Using that idea, an efficient new predicted direction search algorithm (PDSA) for block matching motion estimation is proposed in this paper.

  • An approximate method of normal coordinate idealization for use in nonlinear R/C frames has been developed. Normal coordinate apporaches have been used for nonlinear problems in the past, but they are not received wide acceptance because of the need for eigenvector computation in each time step. The proposed method cicumvents the eigenvector recalculation problem by evaluating a limited number of sets of mode shapes in performing the dynamic analysis. Then the predetermined sets of eigenvectors are used in the nonlinear dynamic analysis, repeatedly. The method is applied to frame structures with ductiles R/C elements. The plastic hinge zones are modeled with hysteresis loops which evince degrading stiffness and pinching effects. The method is applied to frames with local nonlinearities. Efficiencies and accuracies of the method for this application are presented.
