Evoluationary Design of a Fuzzy Logic Controller For Multi-Agent Robotic Systems

  • It is an interesting area in the field of artifical intelligence to find an analytic model of cooperative structure for multiagent system accomplishing a given task. Usually it is difficult to design controllers for multi-agent systems without a comprehensive knowledge about the system. One of the way to overcome this limitation is to implement an evolutionary approach to design the controllers. This paper introduces the use of a genetic algorithm to discover a fuzzy logic controller with rules that govern emergent agents solving a pursuit problem in a continuous world. Simulation results indicate that, given the complexity of the problem, an evolutionary approach to find the fuzzy logic controller seems to be promising.

  • Core technologies of powerplants, which are necessary for the development of Korean type combat aircraft, are analyzed. And then, the acquisition methodologies for the technologies are proposed. With respect to the aircraft engine design and manufacturing technologies, simple basic technologies such as component manufacturing and assembling technology come to close to those of advanced countries, but the core technologies were not acquired or in the understanding level only. Therefore, the research on the component manufacturing technology should be specialized for buildup of international competition first, and the research on core technologies such as high pressure compressor design, blisk, FADEC and hollow fan blade design should be concentrated step by step by taking an active participation in the development project of international cooperative aircraft powerplants.

  • This paper presents A Design of WMR Controller that being composed of cooperative relation between PID controller and optimized neural network algorithm, it operate a variable control by velocity. Some proposed algorithm in the past just depended on PID controller for the control of position of WMR but for more efficient control we design a variable controller that operate control by PD controller using neural network if it is satisfied with any given condition. it adjust gain of PD controller for real time control using a fast feedforward algorithm which is different with Form of the standard backpropagation algorithm.

Design rules for creating sensing and self-actuating microcapsules

  • Using computational modeling, we design a pair of biomimetic microcapsules that exploit chemical mechanisms to communicate and alter their local environment. As a result, these synthetic objects can undergo autonomous, directed motion. In the simulations, signaling microcapsules release "agonist" particles, while target microcapsules release "antagonist" particles and the permeabilities of both capsule types depend on the local particle concentration in the surrounding solution. Additionally, the released nanoscopic particles can bind to the underlying substrate and thereby create adhesion gradients that propel the microcapsules to move. Hydrodynamic interactions and the feedback mechanism provided by the dissolved particles are both necessary to achieve the cooperative behavior exhibited by these microcapsules. Our model provides a platform for integrating both the spatial and temporal behavior of assemblies of "artificial cells", and allows us to design a rich variety of structures capable of exhibiting complex dynamics. Due to the cell-like attributes of polymeric microcapsules and polymersomes, material systems are available for realizing our predictions.

One of the way to overcome this limitation is to implement an evolutionary approach to design the controllers. This paper introduces the use of a genetic algorithm to discover a fuzzy logic controller with rules that govern emergent co-operative behavior: A modified genetic algorithm was applied to automating the discovery of a fuzzy logic controller jot multi-agents playing a pursuit game. Simulation results indicate that, given the complexity of the problem, an evolutionary approach to and the fuzzy logic controller seems to be promising.

  • Design class through team activities is increasing in engineering education. Team-based education has been known to improve students' creativity, problem solving ability, cooperative ability, self-directed learning ability, and communication ability. How to organize a team is an important issue that affects the performance of team activities as well as student satisfaction. However, previous studies have focused on the causal relationship between team formation and the team's performance. This paper deals with how to organize a balanced team in a real class. When the basic characteristic values of students are givens, the aim is to make the sum of the characteristic values as fair as possible for each team. We propose a mathematical team formation model and show how to apply it through case studies.

  • 본 논문은 FDA(Fault Detection Agent)의 설계와 구축을 설명한다. FDA는 홈 네트워크 환경에서 멀티미디어 원격 교육을 위한 소프트웨어 오류를 감지하기에 적합한 에이전트이다. 이 시스템은 ED, ES로 구성되어 있다. ED는 홈 네트워크 환경에서 멀티미디어 원격 교육을 위하여 훅 킹 기법으로 오류를 감지하는 에이전트이다. ES는 홈 네트워크 환경에서 멀티미디어 원격 교육을 위하여 오류를 공유하는 에이전트이다. 멀티미디어 공동 작업 환경의 관점에서 오류 공유는 협동 작업에 참가하는 참가자에게 상호작용적으로 오류를 공유한다. 훅 킹 방법과 가로채기 방법과의 비교를 통하여 효율성 분석을 하였다.

사용자 협력통신을 위한 새로운 전송 신호 구조 설계 (A Design of New Transmission Signal Structure for User Cooperative Communication)

  • 본 논문에서는 기존의 협력통신을 위한 신호 구조와 동일한 성능을 유지하면서 스펙트럼 효율을 높일 수 있는 Alamouti 전송 다이버시티를 기초한 새로운 신호 구조를 제안한다. 제안하는 신호 구조는 (n+1)시간 슬롯에 n 개의 데이터를 처리할 수 있어 n 값이 커질수록 1(bit/s/Hz)에 근접하는 스펙트럼 효율을 보이게 된다. 제안하는 신호 구조의 성능을 검증하기 위해 수학적 접근으로 Closed form BER을 유도한 결과와 레일리 페이딩과 AWGN(Additive White Gaussian Noise)이 합해진 채널상황에서 시뮬레이션으로 얻은 성능을 비교하였다. 분석 결과 제안하는 신호 구조의 Closed form BER 성능과 시뮬레이션을 통해 얻은 성능이 정확하게 일치하는 것을 알 수 있었다.

Investigating Factors that Affect Job Satisfaction and Performance in the Public Sector

  • Purpose: The public sectors including government and public organizations have put an efforts to improve the quality of people's lives by providing enhanced services. The purpose of this paper is to investigate the factors that affect job attitude, job satisfaction, and job performance in the public sector, that are rarely examined by previous studies. Research Design, data, and methodology: The following research questions have been proposed: i) how do payroll system, personnel management system, cooperative working environment, and self-efficacy affect job attitude?; and ii) how does job attitude affect job satisfaction and performance? This paper used a survey through an online platform and collected data randomly from five classified public institutions. This study applied regression analysis and ANOVA. Results: This study found that cooperative working environment and self-efficacy had significant impacts on job attitude, while payroll system and personnel management system did not affect job attitude. Overall job attitude affected both job satisfaction and performance. Conclusions: The results provide policy implications to the public sector which factors should be considered to improve job attitude, job satisfaction, and job performance. The results also provide managerial implications how such efforts ultimately improve service quality to the citizens.
