  • The theory of fuzzy random variables and fuzzy stochastic processes has been received much attentions in recent years. But convergence in distribution for fuzzy random variables has not established yet. In this talk, we restrict our concerns to level-wise continuous fuzzy random variables and obtain some characterizations of its tightness and convergence in distribution.

  • A general class of two-point optimal fourth-order methods is proposed for locating multiple roots of a nonlinear equation. We investigate convergence analysis and computational properties for the family. Special and simple cases are considered for real-life applications. Numerical experiments strongly verify the convergence behavior and the developed theory.

  • Motivated and inspired by ideas due to Matsushida and Takahashi [J. Approx. Theory 134(2005), 257-266] and Martinez-Yanes and Xu [Nonlinear Anal. 64(2006), 2400-2411], we prove some strong convergence theorems of modified iteration processes for a pair (or finite family) of relatively nonexpansive mappings in Banach spaces, which improve and extend the corresponding results of Matsushida and Takahashi and Martinez-Yanes and Xu in Banach and Hilbert spaces, repectively.

  • By combining the classical Newton's method with the pseudo-secant method, pseudo-secant-Newton's method is constructed and its order and rate of convergence are investigated. Given a function $f:\mathbb{R}{\rightarrow}\mathbb{R}$ that has a simple real zero ${\alpha}$ and is sufficiently smooth in a small neighborhood of ${\alpha}$, the convergence behavior is analyzed near ${\alpha}$ for pseudo-secant-Newton's method. The order of convergence is shown to be cubic and the rate of convergence is proven to be $\(\frac{f^{{\prime}{\prime}}(\alpha)}{2f^{\prime}(\alpha)}\)^2$. Numerical experiments show the validity of the theory presented here and are confirmed via high-precision programming in Mathematica.

  • The purpose of this study is to identify the optimal model to explain safety behavioral intention according to the recognition of safety communication in cabin through comparison of Planned behavioral theory and Triandis' theory of interpersonal behavior. In order to accomplish the study purpose, research model and hypothesis were established based on the previous research. As a result of the analysis, it was found that attitude and Perceived Behavioral Control had a positive effect on the safety behavioral intention. Triandis theory shows that social factors and habits have a positive impact on safety behavioral intention. In addition, A comparison of the two models confirms that both psychological processes of recognition and emotion are accompanied by the relationship between safety information awareness and safety behavioral intention.

  • Recently, as the environment of the 4th industrial revolution has arrived, the opening, sharing and convergence of data are actively being achieved in any organization. However, the opening and sharing of data inevitably leads to security vulnerability and there is ambivalence that is a threat that can affect the existence of an organization operated in the 4th industrial revolution environment. Especially security issues in the organization of the military can be a threat to the state, not the military itself, so it is always necessary to maintain a high level of security discipline. In this paper, 14 variables were selected through structural equation model applying theory of planned behavior, deterrence and protection motivation to find out the security level development measures by extracting factors that can affect security level. As a result, the theory of planned behavior that the security knowledge embodied through the usual security regulation education and evaluation affects the behavior was adopted, and the theory of deterrence and protection motivation showed the significance of the rejection level. In addition, it was confirmed that the variables that have the greatest impact on the military security level through the measured values of the three-year security audit were commanders and mental security. In conclusion, in order to improve the security level, it is suggested that security education, definite reward and punishment, and security system upgrading should be firmly established and mental security posture should be secured.

  • OMiYakSung theory consists of various herbs that contain at least one or more of the five flavors. This theory has been used to prevent human diseases and enhance the immune system. The main objective of the present study was to investigate efficacy differences and changes in ingredients of blended and single herb extracts based on OMiYakSung theory. We selected three herbs Coptis japonica Makino, Cimicifuga heracleifolia Komarov, and white Poria cocos and assessed their physiological effect. As results, the blended extracts showed excellent cell migration effect at 400 ug/mL concentration, compared to the single extract. In addition, the blended extracts enhanced immune function by increasing the activity of dendritic cells and showed the highest antioxidant activity by DPPH assay and HPLC-ABTS assay. In this study, we developed a new materials that can be applicable to cosmetics and pharmaceuticals field by applying oriental medicine theory.

  • In this paper, using modified couple stress theory in place of classical continuum theory, and using shell model in place of beam model, vibrational behavior of nanotubes is investigated via the finite element method. Accordingly classical continuum theory is unable to correctly compute stiffness and account for size effects in micro/nanostructures, higher order continuum theories such as modified couple stress theory have taken on great appeal. In the present work the mass-stiffness matrix for cylindrical shell element is developed, and by means of size-dependent finite element formulation is extended to more precisely account for nanotube vibration. In addition to modified couple stress cylindrical shell element, the classical cylindrical shell element can also be defined by setting length scale parameter to zero in the equations. The boundary condition were assumed simply supported at both ends and it is shown that the natural frequency of nano-scale shell using the modified coupled stress theory is larger than that using the classical shell theory and the results of Ansys. The results have indicated using the modified couple stress cylindrical shell element, the rigidity of the nano-shell is greater than that in the classical continuum theory, which results in increase in natural frequencies. Besides, in addition to reducing the number of elements required, the use of this type of element also increases convergence speed and accuracy.

  • This study analyses on the history of uniform convergence, and discusses its educational implications. First, this study inspects 'overflowing of the Euclidean methodology' which was suggested by Lakatos as a cause of tardy appearance of uniform convergence, and reinterprets that cause in the perspective of 'symbolization'. Second, this study looks into the emergence of uniform convergence of Seidel and Weierstrass in this viewpoint of symbolization. As a result, of analysis, we come to know that the definition of uniform convergence had been changed into the theory of 'domain and graph' from that of 'point and function value' by the location change of the quantifier. As these results, this study puts forward an educational suggestion from an angle of epistemological obstacle, concept definition and concept image.

  • In this work the stationary bootstrap of Politis and Romano [27] is applied to the empirical distribution function of stationary and associated random variables. A weak convergence theorem for the stationary bootstrap empirical processes of associated sequences is established with its limiting to a Gaussian process almost surely, conditionally on the stationary observations. The weak convergence result is proved by means of a random central limit theorem on geometrically distributed random block size of the stationary bootstrap procedure. As its statistical applications, stationary bootstrap quantiles and stationary bootstrap mean residual life process are discussed. Our results extend the existing ones of Peligrad [25] who dealt with the weak convergence of non-random blockwise empirical processes of associated sequences as well as of Shao and Yu [35] who obtained the weak convergence of the mean residual life process in reliability theory as an application of the association.
