  • Operating characteristics of DGT-5 being developed by Doosan Heavy Industries & Construction Co., Ltd. for power generation service was evaluated. Starting behavior was improved by a series of tests to investigate the effect of various fuel schedule and several combination of bleed valve control. The engine showed stable operation without any instability of compressor in the full operating regime covering from start-up to load conditions. If there is a rapid change of load in the condition of synchronization to Grid, the engine can be controlled stably based on the analysis of dynamic responses of the engine to an rapid load change and a sudden load rejection.

  • The proportional pressure control valve having versatile functions and higher performance is an essential conponent in the open loop controlled rear wheel steering gear of the four wheel steering system in a passenger car. In this study, the authors suggest a new type of load pressure feedback mechanism which can make it easy to change the range of controlled pressure without changing the capacity of solenoid. The concept of suggested mechanism, composed of the pressure chamber with throttles in series, was described. The mathematical model was derived from the rear wheel steering gear consisting of a valve and a cylinder for the purpose of analyzing the valve characteristics. And the programme for computing the characteristic of the valve was developed. Experiments were performed to confirm the performance of the valve and computations were carried out to ascertain the usefulness of the developed programme. The results from computations fairly coincide with those from experiments. And the results from experiments and computations show that the performance of new valve was as good as that of the already developed one and the new valve has advantages such as the easiness of changing the range of controlled pressure and the decrease of power loss at neutral position without the decline of performance.

  • 현재의 인터넷상에서 QoS 의 재공능력에 대한 필요성이 새롭게 인식되기 시작하여 많은 노력 및 연구결과가 나타나고 있다. 이 결과 IETF에서는 QoS를 제공하는 서비스로 보장형 서비스 및 부하 제어형 서비스를 표준으로 채택하였으며, 이런 서비스들을 인터넷에서 제공하기 위해서는 L3계층 및 L2계층에서의 제공 방법도 고려해야 한다. 본 논문에서는 여러 가지 L2계층의 구현 기술중에서 현재 가장 많이 쓰이고 있는 공유 미디어 방식의 CSMA/Cd 랜(이더넷)으로 구성된 서브넷에서 기존의 최선형 서비스 및 부하 제어형 서비스 제공을 위한 대역폭 관리 방법에 대해서 기술하였다.

  • This paper analysed the characteristic of Power consumption at many type of Inverter controlled Elevator. Especially, this paper proposed the standard value of full load currents. For this propose, it was classified by the passenger capacity and manufacture company. As a result, it is found that (i) the value is between -3[A] and 7[A] in case of elevator. That means the full load currents was smaller than the standard value of conventional operation type (ii) the value is between 0.5[kVA] and 3[kVA] in case of Power transformer. That means the transformer capacity was smaller than the standard value of conventional operation type. it was classified by the passenger capacity at inverter controlled elevator in apartment Also, to guarantee the operation stop of inverter controlled elevator, this paper proposed the redundancy method of electrical installations. the redundancy method is (i) 2 line service system and (ii) 2 distribution line system.

A New Multiple Presence Servers Architecture in SIP Environment (SIP 환경에서의 새로운 다중 프레즌스 서버 구조)

  • In SIP(Session Initiation Protocol) environment, the presence server should process SIP SUBSCRIBE request messages including multiple presence resources addresses from users, and also precess massive notification messages from the subscribed presence resources. The load of the presence server increases as number of users increase, and it limits system extendability. Therefore a new multiple presence servers architecture has been suggested in this research. In this architecture presence servers can be added dynamically and each server's load can be controlled effectively as number of users increase. Each presence server can monitor current load status of entire presence system by using presence event notification package which newly has been suggested in this paper. When a particular presence server's load increases over predefined limit, the presence service processing is distributed by selecting a server which has the smallest load, or by generating a new server dynamically. In this system the overall load of the entire system can be controlled optimally and extendability of the system can be increased. For this purpose a new presence event notification package and presence information data format have been suggested. The performance of the proposed system has been evaluated by experiments. They shows 44.3% increase in SUBSCRIBE message processing time, and 43.1% increase in Notification message processing time.

  • To support Integrated Services in the Internet, the Internet Engineering Task Force(IETF) has developed new mechanisms. These new mechanisms include Resource Reservation Protocol(RSVP) and Integrated Services model. RSVP and Integrated Services are independent of the underlying link layer technologies and it is necessary to define the mapping of RSVP and Integrated Services specifications onto specific link layer technologies. IETF proposed a Subnet Bandwidth Manager(SBM) providing a method for mapping RSVP onto IEEE802 style networks. However, the SBM has several constraints and problems. For solving these constraints and problems, we design and implement a new Ethernet Bandwidth Manager(EBM). This paper discusses (1) new bandwidth management mechanism independent of RSVP, (2) simulation of Ethernet bandwidth to analyze the characteristics of Ethernet and accomplish Ethernet bandwidth management, (3) design and implemetation of EBM that allows Controlled-Load Service, and (4) results of our experiments on EBM.

  • The autopilot system of vessel is proposed to take service safety sorority, to elevate service efficiency, to decrease labor and to improve working environment. Ultimate purpose of it is to minimize the number of crew by guaranteeing economical efficiency of shipping service. Recently, the research is being achieving to compensate various nonlinear parameters of vessel and apply it is course keeping control, track keeping control, roll-rudder stabilization, dynamic ship positioning and automatic mooring control etc. using optimizing control technique. Relation between rudder angle controlled by steering machine of vessel and ship-heading angle, and load condition of ship are nonlinear, which affect various parameters of shipping service. The speed and direction of waves, velocity and quantity of wind, which also cause the non-linearity of it. Therefore the autopilot system of ship requires the robust control algorithm can overcome various non-linearity. On this paper, we design the autopilot system of ship, which overcome nonlinear parameters and disturbance of it using Fuzzy Algorithm, evaluate the proposed algorithm and its excellence through simulation

  • HTTP or audio/video streaming services are good candidates for future centralized navigation system and in order to provide stability for such services, service providers use a cluster of web servers. In this paper, we provide the criteria for web server cluster design of vehicular users with consideration of differentiated access per different user classes. Several feasible scenarios are examined and their performance analysis using queueing theory is presented to provide the foundation for web server cluster design using traffic load balancer. Through the thorough analysis, efficient criteria for traffic load balancer design is derived. In order to satisfy users' service requirements, priority services controlled by traffic load balancer are considered and analyzed. We also provide the evaluation of the accuracy of the analytical model through simulation.

  • In a CDMA system, the rapacity is variable and mainly depends on multiple access interference. The multiple access interference has a deep relationship with transmitted or received power. The capacity of CDMA2000 1x system is considered to be limited by the forward link capacity. In this paper, we show that the transmitted power can represent the total cell load and we propose a load control scheme for CDMA2000 1x system. CDMA2000 1x system has fast power control scheme and we can measure forward link cell load by using total transmitted power. In the proposed algorithm, by monitoring the total transmit power, we can simply adjust data rate to channel conditions and efficiently use radio resources. The proposed algorithm is practical algorithm to implement in the power controlled CDMA systems and enhances the system throughput and quality of service(QoS)
