배수펌프장의 효율적인 운영을 위한 퍼지모형의 적용 (Application of the Fuzzy Models for the Efficient Operation of Pumping Station)

  • 최근 도시지역의 수해요인은 내수침수불량에 기인하기 때문에 유수지 및 배수펌프장을 신설하여 유수지로 유입되는 유출량을 하천으로 강제배수하게 된다. 그러나 하수관거의 용량이 부족하여 유수지로 미처 유입되기 전에 하수관거의 역류로 침수피해가 자주 발생하고 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 도시 내배수 체계의 조사방법을 제시, 하수관거의 위험도를 평가하고 개선할 수 있는 방안을 제시하였다. 또한 배수펌프의 가동대수를 단순한 수위기준에서 변화시켜 실무에서 전문가가 아니더라도 사용할 수 있는 전산모형 8개를 개발하여 제시하였고, 지속기간, 설계빈도, 시간분포 등을 변화시켜 유수지 수위의 적정 조절여부를 검토하였다. 그리고 강제적인 배수에 의해 하류부의 수위영향이 예견되기 때문에 해당 유역의 수위를 안전하게 유지하면서도 하류부에 수위영향을 최소화할 수 있는 방안에 대해서도 검토하였다. 연구결과 Fuzzy 모형이 기존의 운영방법보다 더 효과적으로 유수지의 수위를 저하시킬 수 있었으며, 하류부 수위는 약 8cm 정도 감소시킬 수 있었다.

  • 본 연구의 목적은 다목적 유전자 알고리즘을 이용하여 우수유출 저류지를 소유역에 분담하여 설치 계획하는데있다. 이를 위해 우수유출 저류지의 위치 및 규모를 최적화하기 위한 모형을 개발하였다. 이 모형은 크게 2가지로 나뉘어 지는데, 유역유출모형과 최적해를 구하기 위하여 도입한 다목적 유전자 알고리즘(MOGAs)이다. 이러한 최적화 모형을 모의하기 위하여 목적함수는 첨두유출량과 저류지 저류용량의 함수로 설정하고, 제한조건은 기본적으로 구조적 제한과 저류용량 및 운영목적에 따라 설정하였다. 본 연구를 위해 만들어진 최적화 모형은 안양시 관양유역에 실제 적용해 보았으며, 그 결과 주어진 제약조건내에서 상류지역에 저류지가 설치되는 경우가 최적값으로 나타난 것을 통해 적절하게 잘 모의된 것으로 보인다. 그밖에 On-line 및 Off-line 저류지가 동시에 건설되는 경우에도 함께 최적화 모의가 가능한지도 살펴보았다. 본 연구를 통해 제시한 방법론은 향후 도시유역내의 홍수피해 저감계획시 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

CO2레이저 조사에 따른 치수강내 온도변화에 관한 실험적 연구 (AN EXPERIMENTAL STUDY ON THE TEMPERATURE CHANGE OF THE PULP CHAMBER INDECED BY THE CO2 LASER IRRADIATION)

  • The purpose of this study was to suggest the use of laser energy in the the field of operative dentistry without considerable pulpal damage and significant effects on the dental hard tissue, additionally to find out the methods which could control the temperature rise. The laser beam (CW $CO_2$ laser, output: 6W, beam diameter: 1.5mm) was focused on the center of the occlusal surface of extracted lower molars. A Ge lens (focal length 200mm) was used to focus the primary laser beam. In order to vary the total amount of the same irradiated energy, experimental subjects were devided into three groups: continuously irradiated group, intermittently irradiated group, and water-cooled group after continuous laser irradiation. Temperature changes in the pulp chamber after laser irradiation were measured and recorded by the digital thermometer and recorder. The following results were obtained: 1. Temperatures in the pulp chamber were raised up in the order of the continuously irradiated group, intermittently irradiated group, water-cooled group after continuous laser irradiation. 2. In the continuously irradiated group, the temperature was raised up $1.7^{\circ}C$, $3.8^{\circ}C$, $7.3^{\circ}C$, $17.2^{\circ}C$ after 2, 4, 8, 16 seconds of the irradiation of laser. In the intermittently irradiated group, the changes were $1.2^{\circ}C$, $3.4^{\circ}C$, $6.3^{\circ}C$, $11.1^{\circ}C$, respectively. In the water-cooled group after continuous laser irradiation, the changes were $0.0^{\circ}C$, $0.8^{\circ}C$, $1.6^{\circ}C$, $6.9^{\circ}C$, respectively. 3. The starting time of temperature rise in the pulp chamber had no connection with laser irradiation time.

Impact of rock microstructures on failure processes - Numerical study based on DIP technique

  • It is generally accepted that material heterogeneity has a great influence on the deformation, strength, damage and failure modes of rock. This paper presents numerical simulation on rock failure process based on the characterization of rock heterogeneity by using a digital image processing (DIP) technique. The actual heterogeneity of rock at mesoscopic scale (characterized as minerals) is retrieved by using a vectorization transformation method based on the digital image of rock surface, and it is imported into a well-established numerical code Rock Failure Process Analysis (RFPA), in order to examine the effect of rock heterogeneity on the rock failure process. In this regard, the numerical model of rock could be built based on the actual characterization of the heterogeneity of rock at the meso-scale. Then, the images of granite are taken as an example to illustrate the implementation of DIP technique in simulating the rock failure process. Three numerical examples are presented to demonstrate the impact of actual rock heterogeneity due to spatial distribution of constituent mineral grains (e.g., feldspar, quartz and mica) on the macro-scale mechanical response, and the associated rock failure mechanism at the meso-scale level is clarified. The numerical results indicate that the shape and distribution of constituent mineral grains have a pronounced impact on stress distribution and concentration, which may further control the failure process of granite. The proposed method provides an efficient tool for studying the mechanical behaviors of heterogeneous rock and rock-like materials whose failure processes are strongly influenced by material heterogeneity.

VitaminA와 VitaminE 함유 제제의 Strech mark 개선효과 (Improvement effect of formula containing Vitamin A and Vitamin E on the Strech mark)

  • This is a research on the effect of formula containing of vitamin A and vitamin E(Frie of oil, Wlter Bouhon GmBH, Germany) on the strech mark. The participants of this study were 20 women at the age of early 20s through middle 20s, who had strech marks that had been over 1 year at the minimum and at less than 5 years at the maximum. Formula containing of vitamin A and vitamin E was applied with typical massage to strech marks for 4 months and twice per day. Improvement resulting from the application was evaluated through observation with the naked eye, questionnaire survey, and the equipment used was DermaScan C Ver3(Cortex Technology, Denmark). The experiment showed that parts cared with formula containing of vitamin A and vitamin E had less strech marks than those control site(treated with jojoba oil).In around 2 months since the use of the formula containing of vitamin A and vitamin E, the tensile of the skin increased and deep wrinkles on the chapped surface became unclear, and in around 4 months the tensile force again decreased and the resilience of the skin increased, and the ultrasonic image showed the decrease of echo pore-zone, which indicates the degree of tissue damage. According to the result of the questionnaire survey, strech marks of less than red strech marks of primary stage were improved more quickly than white strech marks and all participants appeared to experience improvement. The result shows that if this formula is used continuously over 4 months, it reduces strech marks and increase the resilience of the skin. It is considered necessary to continue objective measuring and research concerning strech marks.

Efficacy Test of Polycan, a Beta-Glucan Originated from Aureobasidium pullulans SM-2001, on Anterior Cruciate Ligament Transection and Partial Medial Meniscectomy-Induced-Osteoarthritis Rats

  • The object of this study was to assess the efficacy of Polycan from Aureobasidium pullulans SM-2001, which is composed mostly of beta-1,3-1,6-glucan, on osteoarthritis (OA)-induced by anterior cruciate ligament transection and partial medial meniscectomy (ACLT&PMM). Three different dosages of Polycan (85, 42.5, and 21.25 mg/kg) were orally administered once a day for 84 days to male rats a week after ACLT&PMM surgery. Changes in the circumference and maximum extension angle of each knee, and in cartilage histopathology were assessed using Mankin scores 12 weeks after Polycan administration. In addition, cartilage proliferation was evaluated using bromodeoxyuridine (BrdU). As the result of ACLT&PMM, classic OA was induced with increases in maximum extension angles, edematous knees changes, and capsule thickness, as well as decreases in chondrocyte proliferation, cartilages degenerative changes, and loss of articular cartilage. However, these changes (except for capsule thickness) were markedly inhibited in all Polycan- and diclofenac sodium-treated groups compared with OA control. Although diclofenac sodium did not influence BrdU uptake, BrdU-immunoreactive cells were increased with all dosages of Polycan, which means that Polycan treatment induced proliferation of chondrocytes in the surface articular cartilage of the tibia and femur. The results obtained in this study suggest that 84 days of continuous oral treatment of three different dosages of Polycan led to lesser degrees of articular stiffness and histological cartilage damage compared with OA controls 91 days after OA inducement, suggesting that the optimal Polycan dosage to treat OA is 42.5 mg/kg based on the present study.

Konjac Glucomannan Derived Carbon Aerogels for Multifunctional Applications

  • Environmental and energy issues have always been a hot topic of global research. Oil leakage has caused great damage to the environment, affecting a wide area and it is difficult to clean up. In most cases, carbon-based adsorbents are typically utilized to remove oil spills because of their economic benefits and high adsorbent efficiency. At the same time, its excellent material properties can also be used for the preparation of supercapacitors. In this paper, the carbon aerogels were prepared by the one-step method. The prepared materials endowed a 3D network structure with a huge number of micropores and mesoporous, and the material is light-weight, stable, hydrophobic and has affinity for oil (17.02 g/g) to the KGM carbon aerogel. Through the physicchemical characterization, the KGM carbon aerogel shows specific surface area is $689m^2/g$, high water contact angle ($136.64^{\circ}$) and excellent reusability (more than 15 cycle times). In addition, we also discussed the electrochemical properties of the material and obtained the specific electrical capacity of 139 F/g under the condition of 1 A/g.

Isolation and Identification of Postharvest Spoilage Fungi from Mulberry Fruit in Korea

  • BACKGROUND: Spoilage fungi can reduce the shelf life of fresh fruits and cause economic losses by lowering quality. Especially, mulberry fruits have high sensitivity to fungal attack due to their high water content (> 70%) and soft texture. In addition, the surface of these fruits is prone to damage during harvesting and postharvest handling. However, any study on postharvest spoilage fungi in mulberry fruit has not been reported in Korea. This study aimed to examine the spoilage fungi occurring in mulberry fruits during storage after harvest. METHODS AND RESULTS: In this study, we isolated postharvest spoilage fungi from mulberry fruits stored in refrigerator (fresh fruits) and deep-freezer (frozen fruits) and identified them. In the phylogenetic analysis based on comparisons of the ITS rDNA sequences, the 18 spoilage fungi isolated from mulberry fruits and the 25 reference sequences were largely divided into seven groups that were subsequently verified by high bootstrap analysis of 73 to 100. Alternaria spp. including A. alternate and A. tenuissima, were the most frequently isolated fungi among the spoilage isolates: its occurrence was the highest among the 18 isolates (38.9%). CONCLUSION: The findings of this study will be helpful for increasing the shelf life of mulberry fruits through the application of appropriate control measures against infection by spoilage fungi during storage.

제설제 피해지에서 토양개량제 처리에 따른 구절초의 생육특성 비교 (Growth of Dendranthema zawadskii in Chloride-containing De-icing Salt Areas Upon Treatment With Soil Amendments)

  • This study was conducted to investigate the growth of Dendranthema zawadskii in damaged soils when they are treated with improvement agents. The treatments consisted of a control (unamended field soil) and the application of a loess ball of 1 cm to the field soil. According to the degree of damage the de-icing agent had caused, the soils were divided into 3 areas (based on the yellowing of Pinus densiflora for. multicaulis in soil surveys): H (high saline), M (medium saline), and L (low saline). A total of six treatments were performed: D. zawadskiia plant without soil amendment (H; high saline soil, M; medium saline soil, L; low saline soil), and a D. zawadskiia plant with loess ball on the soil surface (H.L; high saline soil with loess ball, M.L; medium saline soil with loess ball, L.L; low saline soil with loess ball). The results showed that D. zawadskiia growth went from highest to lowest in the order: M.L > L.L > M > L > H.L > H. Plant growth results showed that soils treated with soil amendments (loess ball) were better for D. zawadskii growth than untreated soils.

제진형 배전반의 진동 및 환경 데이터수집을 위한 IoT 시스템 구현 (Implementation of IoT System for Wireless Acquisition of Vibration and Environmental Data in Distributing Board)

  • 수배전반의 경우 지면 또는 건물의 바닥 면에 바로 설치되며 지진과 같은 진동이나 외부 충격 발생 시 수배전반의 내부 전력기기, 배선 그리고 보호계전기 등의 전기부품 손상, 오동작 발생 가능성이 커지게 된다. 이러한 이유로 최근 내진형 수배전반의 필요성이 대두되고 있으며, 제진기능을 갖는 수배전반의 연구 개발 및 제품 출시가 이루어지고 있다. 본 논문에서는 제진형 배전반의 진동, 온도, 습도 등을 측정할 수 있는 제진형 배전반의 진동 및 환경 데이터수집을 위한 IoT 시스템을 구현하였다. 제진형 배전반에 진동이 발생하였을 때 진동 정도 및 온습도 데이터를 측정하고 신뢰성 있는 메시징 전송을 위한 MQTT 프로토콜을 사용하였고, 모니터링과 데이터 저장은 Node-RED를 통해 MySQL DB에 데이터를 저장하고, 시각화를 진행하였다. 제진형 배전반에 IoT 기기를 부착하여 테스트를 진행 하였으며, 데이터를 실시간으로 수집하고 Node-RED의 대시보드 UI에서 진동 및 환경 데이터의 변화를 모니터링 하였다.
