Sustainable Education Program for Middle School Students for the Global Environment (중학생 대상 지구환경을 위한 지속가능한 식생활교육 프로그램)

  • The purpose of this study is to develop a sustainable dietary education program using garden vegetables for middle school students. Textbook analysis and demand survey were conducted before developing the program. Ten textbooks of technology and home economics for middle and high school students were analyzed and the results showed that none of the textbooks covered food gardening. Two hundred and six middle school students participated in the demand survey and the results revealed that students lack an understanding of food gardening despite high interest. Therefore, six sessions of a sustainable dietary education program using garden vegetables were developed based on a six-step DESIGN procedure. Then, the content validity of the program was evaluated by three experts and the program was revised based on the results. This dietary education program will lead students to live a sustainable diet, eventually benefiting the health and wellness of individuals, communities and ecosystems.

Cultural characteristics of Korean interpersonal relationships and scale development - affective relationships (한국인 인간관계의 문화적 특성과 척도개발 - 온정적 인간관계)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the cultural characteristics of Korean interpersonal relationships. A total of 45 preliminary items were selected through book and literature review about the characteristics of the Korean or Korean society in study 1. The first survey data were collected from the Korean university students. Through the item analysis and Exploratory Factor Analysis(EFA), 4 factors composed of 32 items were extracted. Four factors were found: 'friendly attitude, harmony, jeong(interpersonal affection), keeping relationship', and using content analysis, 20 items were refined. Study 2 was conducted with the data collected from the Korea adults. As the result of carrying out EFA and Confirmatory Factor Analysis(CFA), the final 17 items were fixed as an affective relationships scale of the Korean. And CFA were implemented to evaluate discriminative validity. Finally, the implications and limitations of this study were discussed.

Content-based Korean journal recommendation system using Sentence BERT (Sentence BERT를 이용한 내용 기반 국문 저널추천 시스템)

  • With the development of electronic journals and the emergence of various interdisciplinary studies, the selection of journals for publication has become a new challenge for researchers. Even if a paper is of high quality, it may face rejection due to a mismatch between the paper's topic and the scope of the journal. While research on assisting researchers in journal selection has been actively conducted in English, the same cannot be said for Korean journals. In this study, we propose a system that recommends Korean journals for submission. Firstly, we utilize SBERT (Sentence BERT) to embed abstracts of previously published papers at the document level, compare the similarity between new documents and published papers, and recommend journals accordingly. Next, the order of recommended journals is determined by considering the similarity of abstracts, keywords, and title. Subsequently, journals that are similar to the top recommended journal from previous stage are added by using a dictionary of words constructed for each journal, thereby enhancing recommendation diversity. The recommendation system, built using this approach, achieved a Top-10 accuracy level of 76.6%, and the validity of the recommendation results was confirmed through user feedback. Furthermore, it was found that each step of the proposed framework contributes to improving recommendation accuracy. This study provides a new approach to recommending academic journals in the Korean language, which has not been actively studied before, and it has also practical implications as the proposed framework can be easily applied to services.

Development and Validation of the Scale of Care Competence for Adolescent (청소년 돌봄역량 측정도구의 개발 및 타당화)

  • The objective of this research is to conceptualize care competences for adolescents and to develop a valid measurement tool based on this conceptualization. The primary aim is to establish a solid foundation for effective communication in teaching care competences within the domain of home economics education. To achieve this, a comprehensive review of relevant literature and previous studies was conducted, and consultations with experts were undertaken to assess content and criterion-related validity. Furthermore, exploratory and confirmatory factor analyses were performed. The findings from these analyses resulted in a set of 34 items, which were categorized into five distinctive factors representing care competences in adolescents. These factors encompassed four items of care thinking, seven items of care emotion, six items of care behavior, seven items of self-care and ten items of community-care. Additionally, a reliability analysis was performed on the model, confirming the stability and consistency of the five factor structure and the 34 item scale, which assess care competences in adolescents.

Shielding Performance of PLA and Tungsten Mixture using Research Extruder (연구용 압출기를 활용한 PLA와 텅스텐 혼합물의 차폐 성능)

  • In this study, 3D printing technology was used to compensate for the shortcomings of the use of lead, which has proven to have excellent shielding performance, and to control unnecessary human exposure. 3D printers can implement three-dimensional shapes and can immediately apply individual ideas, which has great advantages in maintaining technology supplementation while reducing the cost and duration of prototyping. Among the various special 3D printers, the FDM method was adopted, and the filament used for output was manufactured using a research extruder by mixing two materials, PLA (Poly-Lactic-Acid) and tungsten. The purpose was to verify the validity through dose evaluation and to provide basic information on the production of chapezones of various materials. The mixed filament was implemented as a morphological shield. Filaments made of a research extruder by mixing PLA and tungsten were divided into 10 %, 20 %, 30 %, 40 %, and 50 % according to the tungsten content ratio. Through the process of 3D Modeling, STL File storage, G-code generation, and output, 10 cm × 10 cm × 0.5 cm was manufactured, respectively, and dose and shielding ability were evaluated under the conditions of tube voltages of 60 kVp, 80 kVp, 100 kVp, 120 kVp, and tube currents of 20 mAs and 40 mAs.

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between the characteristics of using new words, ability to use new words, and peer popularity among students with mild intellectual disabilities and general students of the age-matched group. A total of 8 students, 4 students with mild intellectual disabilities aged 14 to 16 years of age and 4 normal students in the age-matched group, were compared between groups using a nonparametric test. In the case of new words, 60 new words were selected through expert content validity among 301 new words, and then recognition and background information on the 60 new words were collected. As a result of the study, first, there was a significant difference in understanding of new words between the student group with mild intellectual disability and the general student group of the same age. Second, the correlation between the use of new words and the popularity of peers was compared for each group of students with mild intellectual disabilities and a group of general students of the same age as possible. Therefore, when providing vocabulary instruction for students with mild intellectual disabilities, it suggests that it is necessary to teach new vocabulary in order to increase their relationship with their peers and their popularity.

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze class satisfaction with peer evaluation in Collaborative Learning-based classes. For collaborative learning-based classes, problem-based learning and project-based learning were selected. Educational implications were derived by designing Instructional procedures of Collaborative Learning-based classes, Peer evaluation types and questionnaire design, Peer evaluation progress of Collaborative Learning-based classes, Class satisfaction research and analysis In Collaborative Learning-based classes. The subjects of the study were participants in Collaborative Learning-based classes selected as problem-based learning and project-based classes. For class satisfaction with peer evaluation in Collaborative Learning-based classes, a survey was conducted on 168 participants A University in Korea. The research tool was designed as Learning procedures for peer evaluation Collaborative Learning-based classes is Team Building, Plan to the Task, To do Task, Mid-check on task, Task completion, Presentation & Evaluation, Reflection & Self-Evaluation. The content validity of items was confirmed by CVR of 12 experts. In the research results, the average class satisfaction of peer evaluation is 4.05(SD=91), followed by class concentration, diligence, voluntary, learning atmosphere. As a result of t-testing the difference in class type between collaborate learning-based classes, the satisfaction of PBL was higher than that of PjBL and a statistically significant difference was observed. The result of this study have significance in providing implications for class design and operation for the application and expansion of peer evaluation in higher education. However, there is a limit to generalization as a result of research using convenience.

The Development of a Non-Face-to-Face Instructional Design Model based on Digital Technology for Public Servants (국가공무원을 위한 디지털 기반 비대면 교수설계모델 개발 )

  • The purpose of this study is to develop a digital-based non-face-to-face instructional design model for national public servants. For this purpose, we reviewed the direction of non-face-to-face instructional design based on previous research, and interviewed a total of 10 instructors and learners with experience in non-face-to-face education to identify the success factors of non-face-to-face instructional design for government employees. In addition, to ensure the validity of the instructional design model, a Delphi survey was conducted with experts in instructional design and educational management. As a result, the digital-based instructional design model for national public servants reflects the importance of learning objectives and content design to enhance learning motivation and improve educational effectiveness, and includes detailed implementation plans to support specific and clear performance activities for instructors in non-face-to-face education situations. The instructional design model developed through this study can be expanded as a standard for improving the quality of education in public human resource development, and can be used as a teaching and learning guide according to learner types and characteristics.

Application of Multiple Linear Regression Analysis and Tree-Based Machine Learning Techniques for Cutter Life Index(CLI) Prediction (커터수명지수 예측을 위한 다중선형회귀분석과 트리 기반 머신러닝 기법 적용)

  • TBM (Tunnel Boring Machine) method is gaining popularity in urban and underwater tunneling projects due to its ability to ensure excavation face stability and minimize environmental impact. Among the prominent models for predicting disc cutter life, the NTNU model uses the Cutter Life Index(CLI) as a key parameter, but the complexity of testing procedures and rarity of equipment make measurement challenging. In this study, CLI was predicted using multiple linear regression analysis and tree-based machine learning techniques, utilizing rock properties. Through literature review, a database including rock uniaxial compressive strength, Brazilian tensile strength, equivalent quartz content, and Cerchar abrasivity index was built, and derived variables were added. The multiple linear regression analysis selected input variables based on statistical significance and multicollinearity, while the machine learning prediction model chose variables based on their importance. Dividing the data into 80% for training and 20% for testing, a comparative analysis of the predictive performance was conducted, and XGBoost was identified as the optimal model. The validity of the multiple linear regression and XGBoost models derived in this study was confirmed by comparing their predictive performance with prior research.

A Study on the Characteristics of Execution Function of Adolescents with Developmental Disabilities (발달장애 청소년의 집행기능 특성에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to explore the characteristics of executive functions, specifically self-control, working memory, and flexibility, in adolescents with developmental disabilities in order to provide support for them. disabilities. Method: The subjects of this study were 35 developmentally disabled adolescents with a language age of 12 or older, 35 adolescents with a language level matched with a developmentally disabled youth, and 35 adolescents with a developmentally disabled youth and a living age, and a total of 105 subjects were selected for working memory, conversion ability and self-control among the execution functions so that they could examine their own execution functions on their own. After that, the questionnaire was completed by revising and supplementing the questions through expert content validity.Results: In the youth group with developmental disabilities, working memory showed the lowest score among the execution functions, followed by self-control of conversion ability. In the youth with developmental disabilities, the language age matching group, and the living age matching group, the conversion ability showed the lowest score among the execution functions, followed by self-control of working memory. Discussion: In conclusion, effective interventions and support are needed to enhance the executive functions of adolescents with developmental disabilities, enabling them to achieve better academic and social adaptation. This study can serve as a foundational resource for the development of such intervention strategies.
